The Developers Upped the Dev Game

The developers of this app are SO involved in gameplay updates, player feedback, and engagement. They are active in social media and discord with mini games to get free vouchers and make it easy to connect with other players to find good guilds. This is the only app I get excited to watch ads for because the rewards match the time spent watching them (and they often don’t make you watch the full ad to get the reward) Watching ads on other apps now is frustrating since they are all longer than those 😅 I have paid a few times for gems but if you are looking for a game where they aren’t shoving payments down your throat or the game feels slow without premium, this is a good game for you. My game is also never slow to load like some people have experienced so it must be hit or miss. They have new festivals and events all the time so I always feel like I have a reason to come back to the app. This is the only app I’ve played for so long and am impressed with how much work is put into the game each day by the Devs. They’ve upped the standard in app gaming imo. My only complaint is that for my lvl 20s the tasks once I leveled up were immediately completed because I did them already. And they were checked off before I could even see what they were. It was also not as fun because you didn’t have as much of a reason to harvest. But the improvement in festivals and events makes to so right now I’m not feeling that.

i was first introduced to the game by my bf and at first i wasn’t so into it but after a month or so, i understood the hype and why he was obsessed with it 🤣 i quickly became very invested as well, logging in everyday to tend to my farm buildings, aiming to lvl up and unlock the other fun aspect of the game that i couldn’t access just yet as a lower lvl. this game is such a nice time killer and doesn’t take away too much of your focus if you happen to be doing something important. i have been able to go on and harvest things within one minute and replant and then just go back to whatever i was doing. this game also offers you to chance to work with a team of your choice! i’ve met so many amazing people in the guild/team i am in and we get to work together to level up. the skins you can add to your buildings and the various profile pics are also pretty awesome and add a fun little customization to your game as you seem fit. for a mobile game, the mechanics and graphics are pretty nice. the little people that you can zoom in on and see while your buildings are in production and the animals around the island are so cute. you also get a lot of chances to earn FREE stuff. it is definitely not necessary to spend money to progress. i also love that the game is always under development and new things are always happening so i’m not worried about the game being forgotten or not being updated. the ONLY mobile game i’ll ever play.

Game is fun, could have some changes

I played hay day religiously for years and when I found this game it seemed super similar so I got it. I do like the aspect of multiple islands, makes it so you have more to do while waiting for production on other islands. Maybe I’m not a high enough level but you cannot buy items from a shop or from other players like you can on hay day. To me that was the biggest downfall because being able to buy items, with coins helps so much. And not just being able to buy with diamonds on select items from their store. I also don’t like how it takes so many shovels and land deeds to buy more land but then you receive almost no land deeds from doing shipments and orders so it takes forever to get more space. Maybe make a section in the shop where you can buy land deeds and other tools for coins. There could be small improvements all around if the game wants to be “superior” to hay day and other similar farming games for sure. People play games like this for the aspect of creating a farm and leveling up, not having to sit there and wait hours to even play again because you don’t have enough of something. Just some thoughts.

It's fun yet...

This game is fun but because it's on programs that pay people to play it they make the goals so unattainable unless you pay. They said they just updated it to fix that which I don't see it because 300 bottles of milk for an order is crazy and the time for bambo and feathers makes you not obtain the goals because they take 5 plus hours to produce. They make sure they are on every order so you don't get the goal and I just started trashing the orders to generate more new ones I can obtain without having to play this game for 8 hours a day. If you tried to obtain the goals fast you would have to pay especially for Inbox dollars where they don't pay good until you hit level 25 so don't be fooled. They draw you in by leveling you up fast at first but then when you can actually get the first goal of 12 dollars at 25 it will take weeks if you don't play it all day. So you will never get paid by Inbox dollars or this game developers but they get credit for the download and the hours you stay on the app they bonus because you will want to buy gems to get the goals if you are competitive like me. I will get to 25 and quit it's to frustrating waiting for feathers and bambo and you stop getting missions so you are just farming to get experience which takes forever. I know these developers make a lot from this game and 12 bucks for weeks of pay is crazy since you will not have enough time to reach it anyway.

Was once a great game

I’ve played this game for over two years. It was a fun entertaining game, except for when an update is done. There would always be some minor glitch. The developers would fix it quickly. I would enjoy playing until the next update. It went this way for the 2 years I played, until the last update. There was a MAJOR ISSUE. Many players cannot get in. The developers seem to not care. Their responses to everyone on all social media was a copy and paste response. It’s been several days and the game keeps posting new events that have started. Why would they start new events when most of their players can’t get in. They also post about vouchers that they are giving for the inconvenience. That’s nice, but the vouchers have expiration dates. When asked on social media why, since those of that can’t get in cannot receive those vouchers. Their response was that they will give another voucher once everyone can get in. So let me get this straight, the players that did not have a problem, or were not able to get in the game for a few hours have received several very nice vouchers and those of us who have been locked out for days will get one voucher. Make it make sense. The developers do not seem to care about their customers. They refuse to give updates except for their standard reply that they copy and paste to all the questions everyone is asking. Very disappointed.

Not A Happy Ending

About 3 month ago, I ran across a pay to play app. And found Sunshine Island. From the ads that were popping up while I played other games, I would never have tried it. But…pay to play…cool, I’ll try it. You have to play so many levels to get payed so I reached level 12 and there was the suggestion of joining a Guild. I’ve never been much of a joiner but I thought I would give it a try. Found a name that reached out to me, joined and I loved it. They were the nicest people you would ever want to meet and I spent hours playing with them. I reached Level 34 and achieved Silver III in player tournaments. AND Got up this morning to find my account had been SUSPENDED. Well, I thought this must be some kind of mistake and contacted Support. A few hours later, I got an email saying I had multiple accounts which were a violation of the game rules and you are out of here! I DO NOT NOR HAVE I EVER HAD MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS ON ANYTHING. My God, I’m 69yr old and not that tech savvy. I feel used and abused…I can’t even tell my Guild mates what happened. I invested my money in this game (which I rarely ever do) because even with the glitches I was having fun. It is a fun game, but knowing you have people that pass judgement without allowing or a finding out the facts … words escape me. I guess I will go back to reading audiobooks.

A good time killer

Relaxing but repetitive. While the game has good graphics it does lag a bit at times. The rewards are decent with options to watch ads in order to gain more. Although, often there are some ads that you have to tap out of numerous times after you’ve watched them, which can be annoying… hopefully the update fixes those issues. One of my biggest complaints though is that whenever you want to store an item in order to edit and move things around within the area of the “island” you have to purchase (with the game’s currency) storage space for any items such as decorations, and buildings, so basically you need to delete an empty garden plot and repurchase when needing to move stuff around — I realized that is the cheapest option after I had already spent a lot doing so. Oh, and it would be nice if there were an option to edit/change the name of one’s guild. Overall I really do enjoy this game — It is one of the better ones of its type. I’m glad that it isn’t a merge game because those have become overkill.

Money hungry game!!

I have played tons of games from earning apps, including this one. And I have to say this is the worse one by far. This game seemed to have the potential to be enjoyable and I understand that all games get more challenging and slower as you level up. But this one becomes ridiculously slow/challenging around the 20’s level and they make it impossible for you to continue to do anything without purchasing these “packages” which are extremely over priced. Every “deal” package is a minimum of $10, even from the beginning. You can’t even purchase coins without first purchasing the expensive gems. The pricing, the amount you receive and the amount of supplies they require you to have/to speed up in the game, etc… it makes absolutely no sense at all. And don’t get me started on the amount of time it takes for the crops to complete, the planes & boats to be loaded & come back, etc… and you having to pay for literally everything at a ridiculous rate smh. I definitely spent more than what I made trying to complete levels and Im not wasting anymore time or money on it. Wouldn’t recommend. Save your time and money!
