This game could be great

This game is one of my favorite games that I’ve ever played but I’ve been playing for a few years now and let me just say it’s very expensive the further you go and when I say expensive I mean where you need 20,30 to 50 keys and tools for each new quest and when I say that it means that every level starts fairly easy but it doesn’t last because then everything starts going up towards the end of the islands and unless you’re willing to pay hundreds of dollars each and every time and yes I’m sure that there are some people who will pay that much, I haven’t gotten to that point yet and I won’t, only because I will only put so much money on my card now I won’t lie if I could just throw away money like that it would be so easy, I mean who needs to pay bills or eat right, but that’s what it feels like if you want to finish each time you go to the next world, if I could change something it would be the repeat islands it would be that we didn’t always have to start from the beginning all the time, and the cost of everything, now that I’ve told you some of my complaints I will tell you I really like the new updates you did I can finish the quest on my main island you have made it easier to level up before I couldn’t get any higher because Some of the craft’s took a lot of time and energy that I just thought it wasn’t worth doing So to new players it’s a lot of fun but it can be costly.

It's disappointing because this game is actually kinda fun, but they are giving it to a scammer claiming you will get $750 for Shein if you get to level 9. I played just because I liked it, but I don't want to anymore because this is so dishonest and I don't support any company or app that participated in scamming and robbing people of their money. I say that because the scam to get "free money" requires you to pay for a lot, promises just this game then it's 20 games and subscriptions you don't even want. Even reaching level here, u still don't even get the $5. Please be more mindful of who u allow to use your app for these things because if I came across this in an ad, and played like I did, I would have given 5 stars because it actually is alot of fun and you don't need to pay much to play. However, being tied to a scam that's being advertised on TikTok and other social media platforms with bots faking that the deal is in any way real. Sorry but again, major put off because now I'm sure there's something up with your company and scammy as well. So if you came here and saw this review after seeing that ad, DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND PLAY! It's honestly shocking companies are still pulling this scam. Advertise your game yourself, it's not bad it's actually good. Step away from those who will tank your app and give it a bad name and just do the right thing. It's so sad because you don't see the known games

Another great game brought down a notch by a cash-grabby energy system

Actually a very solid game, great bones here but the devs have unfortunately kinda gone the route of wringing every penny they can from players with an incredibly fickle energy system. Using just the energy you get for free on a daily basis you can maybe get a solid half hour of play time, otherwise you’ll need to pay or hope there’s an abnormally generous event going on. I do appreciate that ads aren’t shoved in your face, but it would be nice to have somewhere in the menu you can watch them by choice on a regular basis in exchange for energy, I’d also be more than happy to pay some monthly fee to get extra energy to use daily, but paying the $2-3 that a small energy pack costs per day is a budget I have no desire to devote to a mobile game. I don’t understand the full economics of “ftp” mobile games, but I know what advertising costs in general and can’t imagine anyone would get laid off if you let people watch ads by choice in exchange for some amount of energy; I realize this is already a choice, but it’s currently limited to a finite number of boxes stuck around the map, rather than as a menu option you can flip to anytime. Like I said, this is a great game, which is all the reason I’m disappointed by all this. It’s got my recommendation either way, but could 100% stand some improvements to allow people who want to to get immersed in a solid play sesh without running into an energy wall 15 minutes in.

I used to like it more

Be smart. Don’t start. I started playing more than a year ago. I originally thought events would be short and occasional. I quickly realized that events were long and more than just frequent. In fact, there is always an event island. ALWAYS. At first there were very few or no pop ups saying that I could give them money… $2, or 9.99, or even $20… I was so excited to pay for people to make the events that happened so frequently that there was no excitement to see that there was an event. They say that you can get energy producing decorations by completing events. It takes so much energy to complete an event that I gave up on completing events. I also learned that most the energy items are limited use anyway. When I first started I was excited to make meaningful progress to developing a thriving island that I can explore. I’m not sure that they have given access to the entire whole island to any players. The characters can go to a new island every few days and demolish huge barriers but they can’t seem to cross a bridge on their own island to see what is right next to them… So I can make meaningless progress, spending energy and golden tools where it does little to no good, while their actual home collects stumps and disarray because there is no more energy left and there are no more golden tools. I’m not sure how well thought out this plan was.

Addicting yet costly

The game is very addicting, yes story line is a little much at times. I generally skip then look at quests. First few levels very quick to get through. Updates need better attention. Things disappear that shouldn’t like treasure island, tells me to make keys yet there is no island at level 14. Takes a long time to fully recharge. Can get more energy from filling ship but only once in 8 hrs. One rooster to feed shaman and again 8 hrs. Trees take a bit of energy so have to be patient and strategize. Same for clay and stone. The only other way is to buy energy and gems are pricey. One small explosive 15 and it cost $3.99 for 70 gems. So if patience isn’t for you then sorry. A new update dropped. Memory island well I can tell you my memory is very good lighthouse had 7 parts and was getting crazy, after update it now only has 3 great yet I was on level 4 of construction all that work and supplies are lost. Not a great advantage for those who have put in a lot of time. Also no option to update later. This is what I wrote when I first tried. Now over a year later after seeing they did some newer updates it’s not much better. Easter island is three islands really three but what is worse is every islands thing gets more expensive. You never get charged enough to get the items unless you buy it. One ice costs 315 and only one gem. Come across bonus isn’t a guarantee the only guarantee is your going to spend money. Rating down

Cost it way to much

So I love the game don’t get me wrong but the cost of these items are waaaay to high like you need 10 grapes or something and the grapes are like 147 then you only get one that’s just an example it be so upset because I just got past a very hard and expensive challenge just to get over a thousand bolts just to lose then on one thing then 15 other things are also needed like come on and the story line is Aggy also I’ve played and it says you 3 of one item I get the 3 items I count them as I buy them and go to complete the challenge and need one more like come on I’m really starting to hate this game I’ve even spent my very own money on this game just to past some of the quest and they are gone in seconds because the price of these challenges something needs to be done I read the reviews before writing this review because I know I was not the only one that thinks this is outrageous and for y’all to see them and reply and still do nothing about it is beyond me we the ppl that plays y’all game want a change ijs what if ppl just start deleting the game because yall asking to much I’m not understanding why a bunch of grapes cost 147 bolts just to get one grapes like really you know how long o had to wait to get 147 bolts just to get ONE GRAPE out of a bunch that makes no sense y’all are scamming us please update the game for the better or I’m uninstalling thank you

Lagging and Pop ups

So, I usually play on my iPad, but occasionally I change to my phone when I’m on the go. I’ve noticed that I often lose large chunks of progress that I’ve already done and have to repeat large chunks of islands that I’ve already completed. This puts me behind where I should be and causes me to lose my place in the ranking, disrupts my motivation to keep playing and distresses me that I have to repeat so much. I even try to wait 30 - 45 minutes before switching devices. Is there something you can do to speed up the data dumps to your servers because this is very distressing!!! The number of pop ups is really getting annoying. First it was asking if I wanted to be notified on every little thing happening in the game. The answer to that is NO. If I wanted notifications I would turn them on. Then pop ups started coming every time I changed screens to show all the things I could buy. If I wanted to buy things, I would click on the icon to buy them. I don’t want them constantly thrown in my face. Lately every time I come close to running out of energy I get a pop up to buy more energy. All these pop ups detract from the game. I understand that you are trying to intrigue people to buy things, but every few minutes is ridiculous. You need to give players a way to permanently opt out of all the ANNOYING pop ups NOW!!

Constant pop-ups, glitches, crashes and bad customer service

The game is fun, but wading through the constant sales pop ups, the slow energy renewal meant to push you to buy energy, the many glitches and crashes make it more trouble than it’s worth. Finally after I had to deal with their customer service when I made the mistake of making a purchase which didn’t show up and they seemed absolutely uninterested in fixing the issue and told me to wait and it would likely fix itself. I explained that because the purchase was specific to a limited time island in the game and would only work for that island wouldn’t be useable if it showed up in a day or two after it closed. Customer service essentially said “Ope, well too bad, thems the breaks.” I then asked if they would please just go ahead and cancel it or issue a refund and she left me on read for nearly ten minutes and then said no, sales are final and my only option was to report it through apple to get them to refund it but then my account would be at risk (I’m assuming they meant my game account with their game). I told her that was fine because as soon as I got my refund I was deleting my account with the game and the game anyway. Stay away from this game. I understand glitches happen, & things go wrong, but refusing to cancel/refund when your game messed up and a purchase won’t be usable and then threatening someone if they report the purchase to get a refund for that unusable product? That’s fraud.
