Bug fixes and experience improvements.
Lost in Fantaland is a revelation for fans of the deck-building genre who have grown a bit tired of the standard Slay the Spire clones. By placing the combat on a tactical 8x8 grid, the game adds a layer of spatial reasoning that changes everything. You aren't just calculating damage; you're calculating distance. A card that deals 10 damage is good, but a card that deals 5 damage and pushes an enemy back two squares is often life-saving.
The class diversity is excellent. The Warrior feels like a traditional brawler, but playing as the Mage requires a completely different mindset, focusing on area-of-effect spells and environmental hazards. The pixel art is crisp and charming, giving the game a classic 16-bit feel that matches the 'Fantaland' theme perfectly. It’s the kind of game where a 'perfect' run feels earned through a combination of smart deck thinning and masterclass positioning. It’s easily one of the most mechanically sound roguelites on the App Store right now.
Tactical 8x8 Grid Combat
Deep Deck-Building Mechanics
Multiple Class Playstyles
Challenging Boss Encounters
Always check the grid for 'Spike' or 'Fire' tiles. Using a 'Bash' card to knock a boss into a spike tile often deals more damage than your strongest attack card while also conserving your mana.
In Fantaland, a smaller deck is a stronger deck. Use the 'Merchant' to remove basic 'Strike' and 'Block' cards as soon as possible to ensure you draw your high-impact class cards more frequently.
Yes, you earn 'Soul Shards' after every run which can be used to unlock permanent stat boosts and new cards in the central hub.
Great combat, lots of playable classes and builds, persistent upgrades. Though I wish the permanent upgrades were more powerful. Buy this game!
Just started playing the game having fun with it. I really like the technique system but I do have a few complaints the permanent upgrades feel a bit bland in and weak and like the title suggest is there any way to play a girl character? It’s just a small thing I kind of get it. There’s a good chance that most people won’t use those sprites just stick to the default character but I don’t know just stick some braids on the normal sprite I’ll be happy and if it has to be a boy for some lore, reason and I don know yet just make him crossdress or something I think they would add some character because for now he just kinda seems like generic but genre, savvy character
This game is a good melding of tactical combat and deck building. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the English is poor, making rules and cards hard to understand. Pay some money to have it properly translated and this game will rival the best.
I’ve been looking for a game like this for a while and this one scratches the perfect itch. Very well produced and enjoyable game
Roguelite deck builder with FFT-style battles. Worth every penny
This game feels hollow and lacks any meaningful direction or purpose. It offers little value to the player experience and may only appeal to those seeking mindless entertainment.
Cool game. Would be 5 stars if it had cloud save.
