- Resolved an issue that prevented players from casting spells on enemy units.
Songs of Conquest Mobile is a triumphant achievement in mobile strategy, proving that the deep, complex 'Heroes of Might and Magic' style of gameplay can work perfectly on a portable device. The 2.5D pixel art is some of the most beautiful I've ever seen, blending retro charm with modern lighting and depth. Commanding your Wielder across the map feels epic, and the kingdom management—balancing gold, wood, and stone—is as addictive as ever.
The tactical combat on the hex grid is where the game truly shines. The 'Essence' system for magic is brilliant, forcing you to use specific units to generate the mana you need for spells, rather than just relying on a fixed pool. This makes army composition a fascinating puzzle in itself. The mobile interface is clean, with smart menus that don't feel cramped even on a phone screen. It is a deep, sprawling adventure that respects your intelligence and provides dozens of hours of high-quality fantasy strategy.

Focus on upgrading your settlement's recruitment buildings early. A large quantity of low-tier units is often better than a single high-tier unit in the early game to allow for better map exploration.
Battles take place on a hex grid. Use the terrain height and your Wielder's 'Essence' to cast spells that can turn the tide of war. Positioning is key—archers on hills gain massive range bonuses.
Yes, the mobile version supports both local 'hotseat' and online multiplayer matches.
The story is especially good. I'm now in the third song, chapter 3. Some improvements are urgently needed. I hope developers would update the game as soon as possible. 1. Unable to pick a target when using a skill in battle mode sometimes. I would have to let AI take control, because it's literally impossible for me to use some skills, whether it is about selecting a friendly troop, or a foe. It happens at times. But not always 2. Please adding a brightness slide bar in options. I would have to manually change the device brightness to the brightest when playing this game, otherwise, it is uncomfortably dark. This actually is very important. I would say this is the most important the feature I'm expecting. 3. unable to play my own music in background while playing the game. If I try to play a movie in the background, it stops automatically too. This is more like an improvement. Everyone will be tired of the game music after a while. So please consider making a change.
The game is very fun and highly enjoyable. However, it frequently crashes after about 30 minutes of gameplay, especially on large maps. I am playing Song of Conquest on an iPhone 13 Pro Max (iOS 18.7.1). The game frequently crashes after about 30 minutes of gameplay, especially on maps with large map sizes. This issue happens consistently and seriously affects the experience. What is confusing is that Civilization VI, which is a much heavier and more demanding game, runs stable without any crashes on the same device. This makes me believe the problem lies in optimization or memory management of Song of Conquest on iOS. I strongly recommend the developers investigate and fix this crash issue, particularly for large maps, to improve stability and user experience.
The game seems like it could be fun, but it's bogged down with a frustrating amount of bugs. During combat, there's no way to pan the screen. Sometimes you start zoomed in on a character. So, you're out of luck if you want to see the enemies. If you're trying to land on a space behind an occupied space, good luck, cause you'll select the space in front multiple times first. If the UI (or the screen starts too far to the right) is covering your character, like the bard, you can't click the music note to activate their ability. Oh, and if the top of the screen is elevated, you probably won't be able to click the space near or under the UI. Because you can't pan Want to lose progress of a few rounds? Well I've got great news! Sometimes the end turn button just disappears after combat and you have no way to advance without restarting! Tapping on buildings inches the screen to the left so that you have to center it again after every building you want to select. It’s not game breaking, but it is frustrating and unnecessary if it was designed to do that. I want to like this game, but the amount of get breaking bugs seriously hinder any enjoyment you might get out of this premium priced game.
If you loved Heroes of Might and Magic 3, this is your new scratch! If you’ve never played Heroes of Might and Magic 3, good news! One of the greatest turned based strategy games ever made inspired people to make the game whose page you are browsing right now! While it is also available on Steam and Good Old Games, the very fact that you can enjoy this in a mobile context (or even, dare I say, on a swank IPad) should more than move your thumb over to that there buy button. Why? Because you want to support real gamers making deep, sincere games, not no pay to win malarkey. This guy right here is your ticket to hours of enjoyment! See you on the battlefield!
I’ve played this on pc, really enjoyed it, the pixel art style is pure eye candy, I didn’t get too far into it but I’m hoping with this version I will actually sit down and play through it, I recently got a knockoff backbone stretch controller so I’m trying to build a catalog of games, will this have controller support at some point? Update: So it does have semi controller support, some buttons work, X button saves, Left joy stick moves camera, Right trigger highlights items, Dpad up closed hud and now it won’t come back on, a bindings menu would be awesome, if possible
Hello, thanks for porting this game! I couldn’t find a way to report an issue so writing here. Please consider fixing keyboard support for iPad. Many keys work like Q and AWSD, but AWSD scrolls way too much to be useful. Controller support will be good as well! Same is on PC but for some reason it is half baked here. On the touch front, there is no button to “continue movement” and that would be useful as well! Loading times are somewhat long in and out of a battle. Even on m4. Which is strange. Maybe if there is a way to not “unload and load everything back”?
From time to time, all of my saves will copy one particular save file. I’ll have completed half of a campaign mission, with a comfortable number of key save points. All of a sudden, I try to load a latter save, and all of my save options are from the same date and time, and identical designation, essentially locking me into that point. Forcing me to restart if I’m unhappy with it. Please fix this. Love the game besides this and will edit.
There is no direct option for support for the game or I would’ve went that route first. When I try to open the game I just get the spinning red icon on the main screen for well over five minutes without actually starting the game. I was able to delete and re download the game yesterday and that let me get back into my game in progress. But today it’s the same red spinning icon without ever logging in. I don’t intend to delete and reload this game every time I want to play it. That’s unacceptable, not to mention the actual songs don’t play after the mission completion, the spell casting bug, missing multiplayer and so on. I really want this game to work and succeed, so please fix it before I am forced to refund.
