- Fixed a bug where attacking the boss with a ranged attack before initiating fight would cause game to crash
- Added option to toggle sound effects
- Fixed a bug where playing audio from a background app would cause game to crash
Evercrawl takes the essence of a traditional dungeon crawler and streamlines it into a vertical, one-way journey through beautifully gritty pixel art. Unlike many roguelites that feel padded, Evercrawl is lean and mean. Every step you take is a tactical decision, as the floor literally disappears behind you, forcing you into combat and trap encounters.
The class system is the highlight here. Playing as a Paladin feels vastly different from the Mage, requiring you to rethink your movement and resource management entirely. It hits that sweet spot of being easy to pick up for five minutes but having enough depth in its itemization and enemy patterns to reward long-term mastery. If you're a fan of 'one-more-run' games, this is a must-install.
Unlockable classes with distinct playstyles
Challenging procedurally generated floors
Retro-inspired pixel art aesthetic
Permadeath with permanent meta-progression
Start with the Warrior to learn enemy patterns. Once comfortable, switch to the Mage for long-range attacks, but watch your mana! Always prioritize health potions over gold in the early shop stages to ensure a long run.
The screen scrolls upward, meaning you cannot linger. You must decide quickly which path to take: the one with more gold or the one with a safer passage. Collecting 'Scrap' allows you to upgrade your stats between runs.
The dungeon is infinite, but the difficulty scales significantly as you descend deeper into different biomes.
I like the game a lot, but I wish there was some explanation about the miss (2 backwards arrows) or crit (1 forward arrow meant) on the character selection page. Maybe it’s supposed to be obvious but I haven’t figured it out yet. I feel like I’m missing out on an element that would add more depth to the game. If it was explained in the tutorial, I didn’t see it.
Great strategy-action hybrid with much more depth than first meets the eye. You’ll upgrade equipment, fighters, potions, you name it. But to truly succeed, you’ll also have to pay attention to he path you take. There’s a lot of strategy in your movement alone, not to mention the enemy movements and attack patterns. Will be playing this indie gem for quite I while I have a feeling. Great job and best of luck to the developer!
I didnt get it at first since I would die so quickly trying to fight everything. Once I learned the risk/reward of when to fighting enemies for item boxes it all clicked. Novel concept, really well priced, no micro-transactions. Wish there were more games with the model on mobile.
Great game. However, it crashes when I play Spotify or Podcasts in the background. Would love to have that fixed!
This is exactly what i want from a phone game! Clear progression through unlocks and figuring out game mechanics, good art and soundtrack, and satisfying controls. So glad I bought this game. I got the rec from listening to The Besties!
I really like this game! It’s quick to pickup, simple, addictive, doesn’t have ads/IAP… and it’s fun! May the developers have so much success they feel the need to add more!… (but they don’t have to, it’s already great)
It’s a great rogue like game. I like the design. It’s simple but challenging and diverse. I hope the developer keeps expanding it. Dev: I’m having a random crash on the IPhone 12 Pro.
I just wish it tracked your high scores.
