Fine-tuning for game day!
We've squashed bugs and optimized performance across the board so you can focus on making plays. Keep your game updated for the smoothest experience on the gridiron.
Get back out on the field and make your play.
EA College Football Mobile 27 marks a long-awaited mobile return for collegiate gridiron action, bringing high-energy stadium atmospheres, marching bands, and storied campus rivalries to touchscreen devices. On offense, the game shines with responsive controls, crisp running animations, and an intuitive precision-passing mechanic that makes executing deep streak routes or read-options feel genuinely rewarding. Building up an Ultimate Team filled with college legends and active star players provides a compelling initial progression loop.
However, the title still suffers from initial release growing pains, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. Manual defender switching during mid-play action can feel clunky, often resulting in defensive breakdowns and frustrating big-yardage gains for opponents. Performance can also stutter on mid-tier hardware during dense stadium scenes. Despite these balance hurdles, EA has delivered a solid foundation that outshines older mobile sports titles, making it an easy recommendation for college football enthusiasts looking for on-the-go gridiron competition.
Authentic college football experience featuring official school gear and stadium atmospheres
Comprehensive Ultimate Team player collecting and card upgrade systems
Fluid touch-based offensive playcalling with precision passing and option running mechanics
Competitive head-to-head multiplayer and seasonal events
In offensive playcalling, utilize the read option to freeze defensive end rushers with your quarterback. Practice lob versus bullet touch passing to drop precision throws over linebackers without getting intercepted.
Defensively, use pre-snap alignment controls to shade coverage toward deep threats. When switching defenders during live play, practice timing your tackle inputs to prevent giving up big yards after the catch.
Take control of offensive and defensive snaps with virtual joystick and context-sensitive touch buttons for jukes, spins, power tackles, and precision passes.
Earn athlete packs, complete live event campus tours, trade players, and upgrade team attributes to dominate ranked PvP leagues.
Yes, the game features officially licensed collegiate teams, stadiums, and player rosters.
The game includes Ultimate Team squad building, live Campus Tour events, head-to-head competitive matches, and Dynasty mode challenges.
So to everyone who says their installing is stuck at 69%, you need to uninstall it and reinstall it and once you get to the “downloading content” or whatever that gives you a time estimate of when it’s done, you just need to let that finish and then the game installs. As for gameplay, it’s really heavy on most phones and I have a 17, and I need to use low graphics. Qb scrambling isn’t very usable right now and there’s no dynasty yet, although it’s coming soon. It’s just ok, although the bands for each college play frequently and it gets somewhat loud. For right now, it’s literally Madden Mobile 26 with a college makeover until they add dynasty. I’d probably give it 2.5 stars to maybe 3 stars personally. It’s worth installing if you can
Before this game, everything was great; my kids loved me, my business was finally taking off, and I was finally starting to find purpose in this world. I decided to download this game because I love the sport of football and figured, “why not,” but that remark would soon turn out to be the worst one I’d ever make in my life. Just downloading the game alone took an entire day. I was forced to spend a the full day and night looking at my phone screen and neglecting my business, which would result in me forgetting to pay my employees on time, so by the time the game finally downloaded all my employees had quit and my business went bankrupt. I thought that was the worst that could possibly happen, but the downloading of the game took up 30 gigabytes of space on my phone and lagged it so terribly that I couldn’t see any messages I was receiving. This would cause me to forget to pick up my kids from school, and they ended up stranded there overnight, and I was recently informed that Child Protective Services will be taking away my kids for child neglect. My wife also left me for another man, and she’s also taking the house and car. I am now homeless and my life is ruined all because of this stupid game, and it isn’t even a good game either; it hardly works. Please save yourself the hassle and don’t install this game because it can ruin your life too.
This is just bad. The gameplay lags so bad that running the to the outside ball or scrambling is almost impossible. Many glitches and bugs. For example, on play actions, the quarterback holds onto the ball until he is sacked, never giving you the option to throw. Currently, it is just events and no season mode, so I am building a team that I can’t even play a real game with. It’s sad that this game is so bad and that Madden has become so bad because Madden Mobile used to be my favorite game. Back when ovr meant something because it stopped at 99, there was an auction house, and you could play seasons with the team you built instead of only being able to use the real teams (in madden, this game you can’t play any full season games), ea football used to be amazing. It’s not that it just never improved. It got hysterically worse. You should have just left it alone. It was a good game and every time you people touched it to change something, you made it worse. Now madden isn’t even fun (haven’t played it in weeks, used to play it everyday), and this new game is unusable. Please sell your rights to make these football games to 2k or literally any company that actually cares at all about what they upload to the app store
As a long time, Madden mobile user I will say this game is definitely an incredible upgrade to what we have been using for years and for it to be in the earliest stages of the release of this I cannot really complain, but at this moment, there are some issues and bugs that EA should try to fix as soon as they can starting with catches and different task being completed within challenges, but the challenges do not register that you are completing these things. For example, on a 20 yard pass challenge a receiver will catch the ball for 20+ or less yards but the game will not register any of the yards and I will have more attempts taken and have caught the ball multiple times but 0 yards register registered. Small little issues like that so far the game is very glitchy at the moment but the animations and graphics are incredible. Definitely using this with a PS5 controller and it is pretty awesome to use, but would love to have the options to have the settings change, so I can swap the button layout out to match PS5 control controller.
When I went to play I was so excited to play the game so when I went into the game, it’s telling me that I need more space when I deleted all of my apps to just get this one game so then after that, I try to play it it took the whole charge of the iPad to work and I have my iPad fully charged and it’s it’s at 85 right now. I’m still here now trying to make the game work ea I have tried and tried when I got my iPad kept dying. You better fix this that’s that’s not a good thing to talk about and yes, you better fix it because all I heard this other person say say that takes too long to load and this is what I’m reporting because there is no reason for your game so just be new and now that everybody’s going into the game on PlayStation and Xbox and having a good time but when the iPad people and phone people go in you just make it a long time I deleted almost my I mean, I deleted my whole iPad. it’s not iPad and now you’re and now you’re and now you’re still saying that I have way too much space and I’m still at the space that I started at so you better take your responsibility and fix the game this second.
Madden and College football are almost the exact same idea but here are the differences, the rules are a bit different just like real life, the players in college football actually look like the real player unlike madden, and I’ll tell you that college football is harder to play than madden, I’m talking about passing the ball swapping players and other features like these but what I like the most that’s not in the madden features is the timeout button without having to pause the game, but you also gotta remember that this is not college football 26 it’s 27 and since madden 27 mobile hasn’t released you never know what they could improve or add
I don’t know where to begin, the game is a step up from madden mobile, but a step down from old madden mobile. On top of that, there are more bugs than madden mobile has ever had in its lifetime. The left stick to drag your player randomly stops working, players drop wide open passes more than they catch them, and it’s literally like they got badminton hands, but trust the computer will catch everything even if they rated 300 points less than you. I wish you made decisions with the underlying problem of how can we make our game more fun, sorry to call you out, but it seems every decision this company makes relies on games that drive you insane and make you wanna spend money to fix the problems that are baked into the game. Upset that I played for a little, saw it was better than Madden Mobile, and payed a couple bucks for some packs. Turns out I gave EA money for a half finished game
The reason this game isn’t getting a lower rating is because I was blown away by all the stadiums and fight songs being accurate and in the game, which explains why it’s a big game. That being said the game feels heavy on my phone and it’s feels laggy and choppy, and I’m not playing on an old phone I have a 17 pro so it should be running good. It runs fine but not smoothly, and of course it drains the battery but that is expected with big games. I have turned the smooth animations on that didn’t really change much, I’ve also caught a bug after I completed a challenge 10/10 times it kept going I got to 15 then finally quit the challenge. I rate it a 6/10 it’s awesome to have a mobile college football game once again, but it’s not the best experience on the right track though.
