Dinsun Expert Review

Our Expert Score

74/100

XP Hero is a fun, highly accessible hack-and-slash RPG designed for quick gaming sessions. The core gameplay loop of vacuuming up XP gems and seeing your hero's power numbers skyrocket delivers an immediate dopamine hit.

While the underlying mechanics are simple, the equipment forging and skill trees provide enough customization to keep progression satisfying. It serves as a solid casual action RPG when you want quick progression without overly complex mechanics.

Good game too many Pay to win
Tue May 05 2026 NeverGaveASwag

The game is really fun for the first 3 hours… then you get bombarded with pay to win ads as well as ads from other advertisers. I get it, you want to get paid really well from a game you spent your time, money, and effort on. But at least give the players who don’t buy things in games more ways to progress other than just watching ads, or spending an unhealthy amount of time doing tedious and absurd tasks like “kill the next boss you are severely under leveled to fight” or “spend the next 2 hours going from level 100 to level 115”. I like this game, I play for hours per day. But please relax on pressuring your players to buy every single thing they will need to have in order to continue to enjoy playing later in the game.

Game gets very grindy after the first chapter
Thu Jan 15 2026 super man320087654

For starters I have played a LOT of mobile games. This is one of the few games that has grabbed my attention for more then a few day and I have comitted to grinding. With that being said there are some issues as well as aspects of the game that just could be improved. First the games upgrade system (which is how you make any meaningful progress) gets very unbalanced after the first world. You can spend 30 minutes grinding mobs and saving up coins just to turn around and your upgrades do almost nothing to make your character stronger. I got to the second world at lvl 105, and now at lvl 120 I am still grinding the same mobs to try to upgrade my way to beating the first boss and im not even close. On top of this outside of character upgrades another good way to get stronger is to level up your character. The quests are the main way to do this however the way the quests are set up you get to a point where your only quest is to beat a boss but you are no where near strong enough to beat that boss. With these two elements combined you get to a point where you can spend a day or two grinding mobs trying to level up or upgrade here and there to finally work up to the boss. Either upgrades need to make a bigger effect on your power level, upgrades need to be cheaper, or the more creative and I believe best solution would be a better combat system. A way to block or dodge attacks from a boss that would allow you to beat bosses and other players in pvp through skill and not just mindlessly grinding to get powerful enough to stand infront of the boss and beat it.

I’ll give it three stars

I don’t like the fact that all the rewards we earned we have to watch videos for them. You guys let develop these games know exactly what you’re doing. You can try to justify yourself all you want, but you’re not making a free game. You will holler you make free games but then turn around and put ads in them and make us purchase to remove ads and then y’all holler the ads help I call BS because if you create a free game, you wouldn’t have to pay for it so obviously y’all not creating free games trick to get people to download your stuff so you can force ads if the game was absolutely free. Why do we have to have Internet to play it so y’all can force the ads say what you want, but I don’t support developers that want to trick people if you want to create a free game people create a free game call of duty did they don’t have ads in their mobile games. There’s a bunch of gaming developers out there that create free games 100% free with no ads so y’all hollering y’all create free games you’re a liar. You’re lucky I give your game three stars because like I said, I did like it. but all the advertising and then having to watch videos to receive our rewards no thanks.

It’s alright

Pretty much the title. I’ve played this game for many many hours, I’m right at the late game of chapter 2. I only have the red tier of weapons and I’ve maxed out all the extras side stats. I’m even level like 215 or something. But one glaring and I mean GLARING issue arises very quickly as you go into the late game that the progression is just so so so SO slow that it’s almost pointless to keep playing. I’m all for some grind in my games to progress but you are getting. Percentage of percentages worth of growth for way too much effort. I’m sure theres a way to fix this thru getting more gold and have the respawn times decrease and make it more balanced but I’m not leaving feedback Im leaving a review. I dunno, personally I’m sick of running a round for a minute for 3.5 million gold just to upgrade 3 levels that only improves my power by 800k Not to mention the boss at the end of chapter two is just stupid unbalanced. It legit two shots me when I have pretty much maxed out power before the update and maxed out everything before the new update that increased the maximums and even still I couldn’t even scratch the boss. It’s just not fun, and it’s also a stupidly insane cash grab. Left and right youre bombarded with things to buy that honestly should just be innate in the game but it’s clear the developer just wants money and not really a fun game. So it gets 3 stars for me, good concept, fun for a little while but then the grinding aspect becomes genuinely unbearable.

Level 91 so far.

It actually plays like the ads. Holy hell. It actually plays like the ads I’ve seen and it’s pretty fun. Definitely a grinding game. Starts to get a bit repetitive for me around level 70. Forced ads start popping up around level 30, but there is a paid option for $5 to remove the forced ones completely. Happy to pay it as it’s a fun game. Still has rewards for ads, but that’s their bread and butter and I hope this company keeps making more games. One quality of life feature I’d love to see them add is teleport back to base feature. It would make it really convenient when you’re full and don’t want to traverse the entire map again. Besides that, well done Supercent. It looks good, it plays well, and it’s pretty enjoyable.

Game was fine

I don't usually write reviews, but implementing one of the main reasons I preferred this game above all others makes me so upset. I liked this one and felt okay financially supporting in some places for the benefits because of its uniqueness. Your screen wouldn't fill up with ads of things, because you knew where they were if you wanted them. (The temporary pop up on the side was incentive enough,) And now there's just video ads due to the same thing tens of other FTP games have. It's really frustrating, because I understand wanting more people to buy things you work for but I play this one over any of the others because it didn't have these random video ads for rewards all over the screen. And this new update put them in? Very frustrating and if it keeps up I'll probably undownload. Terrible decision, especially when money is asked for at every turn anyway. 👎👎

Stop playing at 60! !WARNING!
Tue Jul 22 2025 Takenbysurprise123

You basically beat the game at lvl 60 and can do that in just one good sitting. Then after that it’s a boring relentless grind to lvl 110’ish to kill the final boss of the game. It was interesting up to lvl 60. The devs are seriously lacking content if you need 50 levels of killing the same mobs over and over again to fill the gaping content hole until you release part two of the poorly developed game to the public. Luckily I found a way to skip and maneuver around the ads and capitalize on those benefits. If anybody is reading this, I highly suggest you quit playing at level 60 and delete the app. Don’t spend a single dollar on the game. You don’t need to. It doesn’t help and it’s just a royal waste of everybody’s time and resources. Not only that, but it overheats even the newest of phones today. Mid 2025 I’m writing this review. So besides taking your money, wasting your time, it also reduces the lifespan of your new phone

LIES!!!! Forced ads non-stop!!!
Mon May 25 2026 Nickyd_fl

They lie to you saying they don’t have ads (I watched their ad from another game saying this multiple times) so I downloaded their game hoping they kept their promise. I was enjoying it and hadn’t had any forced ads, it felt good! Well…after I got to a certain point they started forcing ads on you…and they just kept coming!!!! I realized that they let you play for a decent amount of time that you forget all about what they promised and the goal is to get you hooked on their game enough so when they started forcing ads on you over and over that you pay their stupid fee to get rid of these forced ads. And keep in mind that is supposed to get rid of the forced ones but you still have to watch ads for rewards. I really hate this developer. Screw these companies that blatantly lie in their marketing and most likely their reviews. They don’t care about their customers one bit.
