Review

This game helps me tremendously as I have early onset dementia and it makes me pay close attention to what I am doing. For those that don’t understand what causes that is when you get to be elderly and I’m 78 now and certain parts of your body start shutting down. Your body movements can get slower. In my case my brain cells are slowly dying. I had a brain scan done awhile back and there were areas that had dead brain cells which showed up black on the scan. I’m sorry this has happened to me. I have meds I take that are supposed to slow this down. Only time will tell. I stay active and do a lot of games on my phone rather that watching tv. I take advantage of the brain cells I have left and challenge myself with games that make me think. So some of you younger folks that are reading this, challenge yourselves to keep yourself mentally and physically active!!! Good luck!!!

Candy Crush junk graphics, give my eyes a rest please!

I paid the $5.99 to remove graphics as the basic play is good, easily worth 5 stars if they had left it at that. I expect to just be left alone to do word searches. Nope. “Here, try this other game, YOU HAVE NO CHOICE, we’re not going to let you play what you paid for until you try our new crossword game”. “Look! You’ve won a new badge! Wait half a minute while we dazzle you with congratulations! Now you’ve earned enough special coins for a new avatar! Are you going to choose a penguin or a bunny?🤮” Seriously, I realize you need to make money, but for 6 bucks I’d really like to just play the game. What justifies a game designer’s salary? Their drive to constantly change what they’ve already published to feel virtuous and valued. It’s a word search game. You are the ones who deserve congratulations on building yet another eye-bleeding game. Make the game, move on. Your target audience isn’t 8 years old. The rest of the App Store contents are for the children, give us older people a break. Does ANYONE know a simple word search game for the iPad?

Good but …

The game is amazing and sooooo relaxing and you only watch adds to get more coins which is a bonus for me cause I absolutely hate adds but I wish the game wouldn’t make quotes that you have to fill in the blank but that comes later on in the game at like level 20 but if you don’t want to fill in the blank you can exit out of that and do your normal level and have no problems and if you find a word that isn’t in the words that you need to find so of you like take it at will count as like an extra word and once you fill up the circle around the star it gives you a clue so if you find those other words grab them cause they will help you but the game is amazing and it’s sooooooo easy I mean I just started a couple days ago and I’m already on like level 26 or 27 soo please get this game it is AMAZING

Too many ads.

The game starts out fun enough with ads every now and then, but once you progress enough you start getting them every single time after you finish a search. I didn’t really mind it that much till I tried the head to head competition. I get that you need ads to make money but don’t have competitions if you’re gonna riddle them with ads as well. What’s worse is it seems if you do too well the game tries to sandbag you by giving you even longer ads in the middle of competing. I was well ahead and blazing through the searches then I suddenly got hit with what was literally the longest ad I’ve ever seen in a phone game, it was 2 minutes long and I had to watch the whole thing cause it wouldn’t let me skip it….. that was the final straw for me. I’m not gonna pay to get rid of ads especially for a game that’s this easy. I’d sooner buy a physical book with harder word searches and it would be a better investment. Don’t waist your time if you hate ads it will make you go insane.

Not much to say

I have only had this app game a short while so maybe this is not a fair assessment. It is simple fun, but the puzzles are just too small and too easy. I saw quickly there were lots of bells and whistles, fluff and junk…those add-on things that are not needed to word search. I just wanted a plain and simple word search and unfortunately this was not it. There were no pop-up ads initially, but not many levels in to the game, the multiple screen advertising showed up. Do not get me wrong….I fully understand the whole drill about advertising on a free game…revenue needs and app development. Please do not go there in your response; I do not need a tutorial on why you use ads on free games. I do think it is funny that as soon as the ads started I began to get pop-ups for the ad free version. Use ads if you must but be responsible about HOW you show them, WHEN you show them, how LONG you show them and WHAT you show. If a third party is doing your ads, OWN it and maintain control. It is your app, your company, and your name associated with the ads shown there.

Lovely game, honest review from an actual human lol

I don’t write reviews often but I thought it might be fun and helpful to add some feedback. I’m not sure if I have a glitch or it’s a bug, but I have gotten any ads that I’m forced to watch. There’s a pop up add on the bottom, but it’s honestly not too distracting. I really can’t stand when every level or so a game makes me watch an ad so they profit by annoying their consumers, so I hope they can profit by this review. One thing I wish was different is an option to have more intricate or difficult levels. I finish these levels fairly quickly, so I’d appreciate some extremely difficult ones. Other than that it’s pretty chill, I play with the game music off and listen to my own music in the background, so it’s a good way for me to wind down at the end of the day that’s not doom scrolling. Apologies for the long review, but thanks for a neat game!

Amazing except for adds

I love this game! It is so fun! But one of the things I don’t like about it are the adds. When I first got the game it barely had any adds but as I play it seems to have more. Almost every/every-other level has adds at the end. I got this game because I wanted an entertaining game where I wouldn’t be bombarded by adds. And when I saw the reviews saying it didn’t have much I was so excited, but it was disappointing to see that it does have a good amount of adds. I’m still playing it and love it. I just wish the reviews didn’t make it seem like it had less ads than it does. Other than that the game is wonderful! It has season events, daily challenges, different backgrounds, and rewards for getting words. I definitely recommend this game! Just know that there will be adds.

I’m hoping I’m just not finding what I’m looking for in the settings

I need help thank you! I like the app. I even paid not to have the ads! Sometimes it’s difficult for me with my memory! I would like to be able to choose the types that I wanna play! There are times when it stresses me out when the words are covered. At certain times I don’t want to play those, I don’t see a setting to be able to pick which games I like! When I want to go to look up what the things at the bottom mean and clear explanations in order to play, I find confusing!is there a place where I can choose what types I wanna play? Sometimes I just leave the game and when I come back it’s clear I just like playing the regular Word Search. I hope you can help me. Thank you.
