Best Tower Defense game in App Store

WoR is the best mobile tower defense game period. I’ve played all kinds and this has remained the best IMO. Devs are generous with summons however the rates are hit and miss. From my experience, if you keep earning summons and summoning, you’ll be able to get most characters. I’ve raged when I didn’t get the banner character, but I did eventually summon it on later banners. Gameplay is challenging but doable. A combination of most characters can be used to clear content. There’s lots of guides on YT if you get stuck on any particular stage. You probably won’t place at the top when start out as a F2P, but there isn’t too much of a difference between rewards given out through the ranks. All event rewards can be obtained just by playing, so the game is fair.

Great so far, but could improve

I’ve played many games like this, and so far I do enjoy this game. It works well and I haven’t noticed a single bug (which is surprising for a mobile game). The game play is good and I like the mechanic where you cannot auto-play a match until you have manually completed it. I would recommend that you change the Home Screen, as this game is all about collecting heroes, but the only time you truly see your hero is when you’re in the hero screen. If you want people to spend money to better collect the characters in this game then you need to include ways to display them better while playing matches. Perhaps even include a short hero MVP video after a successful raid. Also, the prices should be reduced to bring in more customers. I am positive that less than 5% of the people who play this game spend more than 5-10 dollars. You shouldn’t have content listed for 30-60 USD. Just look at Marvel Rivals, it’s F2P but the price for dlc is cheap, and people spend money like crazy in that game. Keep up the good work!

Monetization so aggressive, you can’t progress without spending

The gacha drop rates are absolutely abysmal, not even half of 1%. Plus a near non existent pity system that might as well not even be in the game and you wouldn’t see a difference. Good luck ever trying to get a character you actually want. 5 star drops for a limited banner is 11 to 1 and that is NOT going in favor of the limited banner. A three star, YES a THREE STAR has worse chances than an SSR in Nikke. The worst drop rates I have ever seen in any gacha game. You quite literally have a better chance at winning money on a scratcher. Plus the pointless skins you can buy which are useless because you can’t even get the character they are for. They are also all limited(You will not get the character before they leave). There are freebies in the game that, in the long run, do absolutely nothing for you. It is simply there to keep you playing, making you feel like you actually earned something when in actuality, they are handing you a bag of coal. At every moment, the game is trying to sell you something. Pop ups after leveling up, after leaving a mission, after leaving the SETTINGS MENU! Do NOT play this scam of a game.

Actual strategy needed. But could use some color.

A lot of games nowadays require such little input from players that you might as well not be playing them, but this isn’t that. You’ll need planning and strategies to get through levels, and hopefully some luck will grace you too. A large cast of characters to allow for multiple playstyles and ways to surpass tough challenges. I enjoy this game and have for years, but I’ll hold my rating at four stars until I see my following concern addressed: I wish there were more Black characters. I think there’s only three Black legendary characters as of now, and I think four in the rare and uncommon ranks. The human/humanoid (elves, dwarves, vampires, etc.) cast are predominantly white and in a completely fantasy world I think there can always more shades of humanity. As a side note, I wish there were more player icons. I hope the developers see and appreciate this review.

Truly a Great Game

I’ve been playing this game for almost 2 years now. Spent some money a few months in, but have been strictly free-to-play for about 10 months. You can absolutely get through this game without spending money. The developers give lots of freebies, including the occasional free legendary heroes and high quality materials for upgrading them. You can and will eventually be able to play the endgame content free-to-play (it will take a while though). There are a few hills you have to get over, waiting for specific heroes that are needed for specific content, good gear, and so on. But you can beat most content without the meta heroes if you have the right strategies. Also, these devs do listen to their player base. They have made pretty big mistakes in the past, but they are usually pretty good about rectifying their mistakes. 10/10 would recommend this game to anyone who likes Gacha games.

Free To Play Perspective

I’ve been playing for about just over 6 months now, and I can say this is my favorite game in this genre so far. I used to play Raid Shadow Legends, but their constant lust for money drove me away, and I played for a full year. I found this game and the free to play aspect of this game is very much a reality. I haven’t spend a single penny on it, and I find myself having no difficulty getting legendary hero’s, completing events, and feeling fulfilled. I love this game. It’s my favorite game on my phone, I love the new content and effort the developers put in to the details of this game. Thank you Watcher of Realms, I will never be playing Raid Shadow Legends ever again!

My main account got logged out of the game and I can’t back into it. Customer support system won’t let me send msgs anymore just keeps showing It didn’t send. I have played this game since day 1!!!! And to lose all that progress after transferring to this us version cost me my account don’t transfer your account skystone cost me my account! And the customer service wants bank transactions to confirm the account even tho I’ve shown them me logging into my account on the old app. This completely absurd! If you get logged out and can’t get back in, they will ask for video proof of your account on the old app then they will ask for screenshots of your bank transactions if you bought anything. They will tell approximately how much you spent and as for a screenshot of them with your bank information. Skystone will RUIN this game.

Great but with a catch

I’ve been playing the game for awhile at this point and won’t lie I’m still working out the mistakes I made when I first started but it’s definitely worth it. My only issues is the outrageous in game purchases. Like their completely unreasonable with what you get for the prices they charge. Especially with the very low drop rate you have even with the events, almost to the point it’s not worth spending the money for. If the prices were better or the drop rate was a tiny bit higher I could see the need but you’d be better off just stacking them the free way and just waiting until you have well over 100 regular summons and like 50 legendary ones.
