The Program: College Football is a deep, immersive management sim that captures the high-pressure world of collegiate coaching. Unlike arcade football games, this is about the 'long game.' You aren't just calling plays; you're traveling the country to recruit high school talent, hiring the right coordinators, and dealing with boosters who expect results.
The depth of the simulation is impressive. The addition of things like '4th Quarter Comeback Mode' and rivalry weeks makes the season feel dynamic and high-stakes. It manages to feel realistic without being overwhelming, thanks to a clean interface and a well-paced progression system. Seeing a recruit you scouted three years ago finally lead your team to a bowl game is incredibly rewarding. For fans of sports management, this is one of the most comprehensive college football experiences available on mobile.

Full Coaching Staff Management
Realistic Postseason Bowl System

Focus on your home state first to gain the 'pipeline bonus.' This makes it easier to land high-star recruits without spending as many resources on travel.
Analyze your opponent's strengths and weaknesses during practice. Adjust your offensive and defensive sliders to counter their specific playstyle.
The game is focused on management and strategy; you call the plays and manage the roster, while the game simulates the action.
I’ve had a lot of fun with the game so far a few seasons in. However, I think some improvements could be made to make it better. If you could pick plays during games it would be more interactive and add to the strategy. Or even if you could just make decisions in critical situations like on fourth downs. A lot of times it’ll be like 4th and short at my opponents 40ish yard line and we’ll end up punting with a net gain of 10-20 yards on the punt. I would like the opportunity to choose to go for it or even in a fourth and short to go for it instead of kicking a field goal. If this is not a possible addition I would suggest an option to do a quick sim of the game. There may be one that I missed but I have not seen one so far. If I'm losing or winning by 40 I don’t want to spend an extra minute or two of my time watching the rest of the game. Also any aspects that make the game more interactive and personal would be cool. Such as having random events involving players or anything to make the players feel more real. Like if a player has a high work ethic they could have a chance of gaining a higher potential during the season or during training. Or if a player has been a backup for an extended period of time and they threaten to transfer the upcoming season if they don’t receive playing time. Overall, I like the game but any sort of additions to make it better and more personal is something I would enjoy and even pay a little for. Thanks!
I’ve played my fair share of games on the app store. Pay-to-play, arcade and free games included, this game here is without a doubt one of the best. It blows my mind that it’s free to download. Optional (very minimal) ads only makes it even better. When it comes to gameplay, it’s extremely addictive. I’m on my fourth season (after restarting in the first season twice) and can’t put it down. Scouting and recruiting are my favorite parts of the game, and I do wish the actual gameplay part was a little more interactive, but I love the halftime adjustments. My only real complaint other than an overhaul on gameplay lol would be that you can’t scroll through the play results while you’re watching your team play a game. You can pause it, but can’t scroll back through the plays to see who scored etc if you missed it. If you guys could make that possible post-early access, it would be great. I just bought my first season pass, but would also love more options to buy things in-game! I want to support the creators as much as possible, so maybe more purchasable upgrades/tokens other than just the season pass. I would definitely buy an extra staff token or two outside of the pass if available. Overall, INCREDIBLE job with this game. Keep it up. I can’t wait to see what happens after Early Access. P.S. I also reached out to them with a bug I had on my account and to my surprise I was given a response and fix within THREE minutes. That is some of the beat customer service you could ask for. These guys rock.
I rarely comment on games but I felt I should for this one. I love this game, especially considering it’s still in development. It scratches that itch for a college sports game with recruiting until they start making those games again. I have read some of the other reviews and there have been complaints about not being able to win with a good team. I haven’t had that problem as bad as some others but I have seen it in games vs weak opponents. I seem to win against most teams, including teams ranked higher than me, but still lose to a 0-6 or 1-9 team with terrible ratings. It’s frustrating to say the least. My main complaint is it’s too hard to advance divisions when the game simulates agains you. I’m in prestige 3 and to advance to the next division I need to have several seasons with a player with 8 sacks or a qb with 800 rushing yards. Every season I pick play calls to facilitate that and don’t even come close. This last season I had a qb with 793 yards rushing with 2 games left. One game they didn’t allow me to pick the one qb rushing play and he ended with 5 yards. The next game he only rushed 10 times but ended with 1 yard. When I say I threw my phone because he had 799 yards rushing, I’m not joking. I’m lucky I had a case on it. My only real dislike is the $4 every season. Make it less money if it’s per season or give it better rewards or last longer, like per prestige level. I’m looking forward to seeing improvements to this game!
I am currently in my 102nd season. And not to feel entitled, but I feel like I have my fair share of ways to tweak this game to make it over the top. First, I would start by saying that the season pass would be way better it if you gave more recruiting points and maybe a chance at higher overall recruits. Another way to improve this game would be to assure a recruit will be recruited when the likelihood percentage of him accepting offer is at 99%. You would think that would guarantee a solid YES of recruitment. Unfortunately they do not commit 6 out of 10 times. It is very frustrating to put all that work into recruiting one player that you absolutely cannot afford to miss out on, go in a different direction. I would also like to see the creator of this game, capitalize and maybe make a season pass for multiple games for just a few dollars more. Sometimes I feel stupid knowing that I have dumped almost $75 into this game. And after 102 seasons, I am still only a four star program. I do find it very difficult to level up to higher programs. The task you need to do in order to level up seems a bit excessive. But it does keep the game going. Overall, this game is very addictive. I would just really like to see a few tweaks to it! Hopefully you take this review into consideration. Because after reading many other reviews, it seems that these problems are common and we could probably all agree to these problems we have encountered! Sincerely, The guy who really enjoys your game!
This is a really great college football simulation, even in these early stages I’m impressed. I expected to download this and move on per usual but I’m hooked on a good way, you really don’t have to spend real money but I did after my 3rd season to support the game’s future. This is the closet thing to the last EA NCAA game way back when, salute to the developers. There are things to work out, like sim stats, player of the year had over 4000 RUSHING yards and 30 TDs before the season ended that’s pretty wild. The recruiting should show player stats before deciding to recruit them, and the games should have a option to just sim them immediately please.. if they already do I’m just not seeing this option but it would help seasons go faster. This is a really in-depth sim with great attention to detail, I get around my hometown and down to the smallest town are listed in recruits which is a cool small detail. It’s definitely a grind! Which isn’t a bad thing in building a school, I finally had a winning record with only two loses in my 3rd season but am still only the lowest prestige so this is a long haul game which I’m ok with. With future updates this will be one of the best simulations in the store, this is honestly rivaling a sim franchise leave in madden 23…. It’s Avesta time killer and fun. Can’t wait for future updates, I’ll definitely w giving my feed back for the future please keep this going and thank you.
Update: amazing updates! They have now added the ability to adjust your team at half time and switch things up when things aren’t going well. I love that. They gave you more recruiting points to begin the season which addresses the difficulty of recruiting top tier players, especially now needing depth with the fitness addition. Still would like to see a couple of my other comments addressed but overall love this game. On year 54 now! Been playing this game for 37 seasons now, and have bought the season pass for each season, so I’ve spent a decent amount of money and time on this game. I’m in the last division, hoping you guys will release a few more divisions that I can work for! Have enjoyed the game a ton, but I do have a few tips. 1) Please let us make a few coaching decisions in game, like during clutch moments or something. Would love to go for it on some plays, or pick a defensive play on a big stop. 2) The recruiting is good, but at the highest division, it’s a little unfair. It costs 25 points for just 3% for the top 5 players. So to get them you need to spend a lot of 150 points every week on them. If I’m spending that many points on a player, my request for signing when it’s denied should not go down nearly as much as it does. I can get them to around 75% by week 9, request, and they drop down to like 40%. 3) Let me red shirt as many players as I want! Any other school can, why not here? 4) make transfer portal multiple players 5) add rewards for players winning offensive player of they year, etc That’s about it. Thanks for reading
I just want to say that I absolutely love this game. I was looking for a game to wait for Bald. The new NCAA football game came out, so I found this I was expecting it to be cheaply, made and not very fun and just be fun for about 30 minutes. But no, this game was absolutely amazing. I’ve been playing this almost nonstop over all of my other games this game is just what I was looking for in terms of rebuilding Going onto the things that I would change number one call Momma make it so you can earn more recruiting points throughout the season like if you win a game you get recruiting points or the chess gives more recruiting points I’ve often found that I cannot for create some of my team needs occasionally because there are not enough recruiting points to go around for everyone Number to I’d really like the game to have just appear stimulation mode and not have a play-by-play. If it would just send the whole game that would make rebuilds a lot faster. Into my final point that I wish that this game had a little bit more of what is in the earlier stages having battles between the different teams instead of just having you try to get this one guy to recruit. I wish it was kind of a little bit more like the NCAA games where you have to fight for a player This game deserve so much more love for a mobile college game this game is simply amazing. In a few more things would make it the best football game on the platform
So, first of all, before we get to the review, here’s a difficulty analysis: Recruiting is frustrating. I am currently in my 6th season and there’s no tight ends. I would like a clause that makes it so there’s at least some talent at every position. As for the difficulty, it’s challenging, but with the right recruiting you can get to 30+ OVR, which in the All-American conference usually is enough to win. I’ve gone undefeated in Season 4 and 12-1 in Season 5 (bowl game loss). That 12-1 record comes from a double game glitch, where 1 game is played in the scoreboard and 1 in the play by play. Fixing it makes sense. Now towards the complaints. I think recruiting should be different. It’s hard to avoid walk-ons and it doesn’t make sense realisticly due to planes allowing for quick travel. Something similar to NCAA 14 would be nice (or alternatively fine-tuning the current system), and also allow us to recruit more than 8-9 players for once. Maybe add more things (especially optional) to do per day. For example, improving the campus and stadium to get more recruiting bonuses and other things. What I would like is a potential ability to call plays (with a AI option), and more things to do with certain players. Overall this game is unfinished, but with so much potential. The addition of music is nice. I’m hoping that you can improve this game. I’ll check the new fixes to AI behavior, kicking and punting (way too many short punts and missed FG), and see if they are improved.
