Bug fixes and minor improvements!
Shoutrageous! is effectively the digital evolution of classic party staples like Scattergories mixed with a frantic 'shout-at-the-screen' energy that few mobile games capture well. Having tested this at several game nights, the standout feature is its simplicity; you can hand the phone to a grandmother or a teenager and they’ll understand the objective within ten seconds. The 'shout' mechanic creates a level of high-volume chaos that is genuinely infectious.
Technically, the app is polished with a clean UI that doesn't get in the way of the gameplay. What I found particularly impressive is the variety of categories available. While many trivia games get repetitive after three sessions, Shoutrageous! keeps the content fresh with topics ranging from 'Types of Cheese' to '80s Hair Bands.' It successfully avoids the 'dead air' problem common in digital board games by keeping the timer tight and the stakes high. If you are looking for a reliable icebreaker that requires zero setup time, this is a must-download.
Dozens of unique category decks
Intuitive tap-to-score interface
Supports large groups and team play
Regularly updated with trending topics
Hilarious 'Bonus Round' challenges
Start by selecting a themed deck from the main menu. Decks range from pop culture and food to history and sports. Once a deck is chosen, gather your friends—you can play in teams or as a large group around one device.
When the round starts, a category will appear on the screen along with a list of hidden answers. Players must shout out as many correct answers as possible. As the 'reader' hears a correct answer, they tap it on the screen to mark it off.
Once the timer expires, the game shows which answers you found and which ones you missed. Points are awarded based on the difficulty or rarity of the words found. Switch players or teams to see who can climb the leaderboard!
Divide into two groups and go head-to-head. One team shouts while the other watches the clock, creating a competitive atmosphere that is perfect for large parties.
The game is designed with short, intense bursts of gameplay. Each round typically lasts less than a minute, ensuring that nobody is left sitting on the sidelines for long.
Once the decks are downloaded, you can play Shoutrageous! offline, making it perfect for planes and road trips.
There is no strict limit! While designed for 2 or more, it works best with groups of 4 to 10 divided into teams.
I still love the game I see the trending topic is gone now what happened I used to like it the trendiest trendy topic of the day category it was awesome are we gonna bring it back soon again
Love playing this game! One minor suggestion though; at the end of a game when the teams have the same score I would like to see a bonus game/ fast round to break the tiebreaker. BUT I bought this game for free when there were no ads. Now all of a sudden they pop up everywhere and I have to pay to get rid of them???!? Would give the game 5 stars if I didn’t have to pay to remove the ads.
Thanks for the great game! I grew up on Outburst and this game brings back similar, good memories and creates new ones with the kids. It would be sweet if there was a kid friendly version. Even the seemingly tame categories in this edition contain some fairly inappropriate subjects.
This is an okay game for game night. Def is not one played for hours at my house. It gets boring quick. The category answers are sometimes...stupid..for lack of a better word. The free categories are extremely boring, thinking of different flavors of ice cream is not that excited, so you will have to buy the extra ones.
Love this game so much but please add more/new categories and topics within! It’s such a fun game to play but the topics and answers have become outdated. Also add a literature category please!
They removed the Trending Now category. I’m not sure I would have paid for the ad free version if it didn’t include that. Otherwise it all is very basic and gets repetitive. I wish they would have kept that.
This game used to be amazing. But then they added tons of ads and lately we have been unable to get to the last round because the button to go to the last round doesn't do anything when clicked. Annoying. Seems that they stopped developing this app.
The answers are outrageous. Some categories are so random and way too open ended. The answers end up not making it fun. Fun concept though
