Improved device support.
Sesame Street Alphabet Kitchen is one of the best educational apps for toddlers on the market. It manages to make the repetitive nature of letter learning feel like a fun creative activity. Cookie Monster and Elmo are great hosts, and the voice work is authentic, which helps keep kids engaged.
What I love as a parent is that it doesn't just focus on the names of letters, but also on their sounds and how they combine into words. The cookie decorating at the end of each segment is a great reward that allows for some creative play. It’s safe, educational, and high-quality—exactly what you’d expect from Sesame Workshop.
Letter Identification: Tap on letters to hear their names and sounds.
Letter Tracing: Trace letters to practice writing, with helpful guides.
Word Building: Combine letters to create over 350 common words.
Cookie Decorating: Decorate delicious cookies after you’ve spelled a word.
Hands-on learning: Use soup and cookies to reinforce letter recognition.
Self-guided Play: Children can learn at their own pace.
Trusted Content: A fun and educational app developed by Sesame Street.
Offline Access: No internet connection needed after initial download.
Players enter the Sesame Street Alphabet Kitchen with Elmo and Cookie Monster. They engage in activities like making alphabet soup, where they can tap on letters to hear their names and sounds, and mix letter sounds to form words. Another key activity is baking and decorating cookies, which involves tracing letters to practice writing and combining letters to spell over 350 common words. After successfully spelling a word, children can decorate the delicious cookies. The learning is hands-on and self-guided, allowing children to progress at their own pace with trusted Sesame Street characters.
The game offers several distinct gameplay types focused on early literacy. 'Letter Identification' gameplay involves tapping letters to hear sounds and names, and mixing sounds to create new words. 'Letter Tracing' is a guided writing practice. 'Word Building' challenges players to combine letters to form common words. Finally, 'Cookie Decorating' acts as a reward and creative activity after successful word spelling, reinforcing the learning process through an engaging visual treat.
Yes, it is specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 2-5).
I finally got some tiggly letters for my son and we open the app to play and NO tiggly option!!! That’s the whole reason I wanted the letters! This is one of my sons favorite apps and I thought it would be nice to be able to sensory play with it but guess not. So sad!!
If it’s in square brackets, it doesn’t matter [1. There’s a lack of word combinations on the device I use (only “b_t, b_g, p_t”) 2. The game states you can create 90 or more words or something similar but on my device, there’s only 15 3. Why were the combinations with blends and some CVC combinations removed] (Edit 1/2: I figured out the game adjusts automatically, but I have 1 new issue, the game keeps gets sent back to older combinations that were already done)(Edit 2/2: I don’t like that a few combinations only works for one vowel, which are the following: (g_ft, cl_m) Suggestions: | More Blends: There’s a blend at the beginning and at the end like for an example (st_ck, works on 80% of the vowels, words are stack, stick, stock, & stuck.) | More Letters. Letters that didn’t exist would be added which are q (nearly impossible since Q has to be followed by a U and then another vowel that isn’t U, w, x, y, z, Ideas for the topic, qu_ck, w_nt, z_p, w_x, y_m | Printables, Customizable Word Building Levels, & Multiple User Profiles: Just to be more accessible. | Sorry this is really long)
the fact you are not in any way advocating to make tether or any of the other platforms a viable option is a good idea and a great idea to keep the platform in mind when it is not just the most popular option to make money and keep the platform alive and to make it a good choice to invest and keep the community in a stable place and to make the best use possible for the future for your users in your community is an important step for you and I hope and your project in this time to make sure that the platform can continue and keep in your community as long as you can get there are some of the most promising future is the future and the future of this platform will come along and we all have to be a good project is the future will come out to make the future is the future we are all in the best project that you have a good future will come back stronger and we are always looking forward for us all have fun
My parents got this app for my little sister just because I had it too and she wanted to play it with me, and she reached a whole new milestone. You see, she is in a spectrum and we’re trying to get her out of it. One day while spelling words in the app, she was actually saying the word! Now, she can read! Just basic things though. She once couldn’t talk, but now she can read! Developers, you guys did a good job making this app, because of it my little sister reached a whole new milestone! Thank you!
We had this app in the rotation of letter sense and pre-reading for my daughter from around age 2.5. The graphics capture the real-life puppets very well, and the voice work is top notch. She’s 6 now, and still asks for this game by name every so often. We would do 10 minutes each day rotating across this game, Square Panda app and pieces, and Marbotic app and pieces, and Teach Your Monster To Read app.
My daughter loves this game, however, please remove the advertisement square at the bottom right corner, I paid for the full version of this game, and every time my daughter clicks on it and interrupts the game, she gets upset. She’s one, she doesn’t know how to go back to the game.
I never write reviews -and I don’t usually buy apps - but this has been the best cheap game ever for my toddler. She’s actually only 2 but she has loved this since she was a year old and is already learning her letters. Bonus: Keeps her bum on the toilet when we are potty training!
Has not been updated in 2 years. Great game, but my app keep crashing now that I’ve updated my phone. Can’t open game at all.
