Truly addictive and relaxing!

It is very truly worth paying for! I must say this game is just all around the best of its kind I’ve seen! From the graphics being phenomenal, to the game being very simple and easy to use, it makes it very easy to just sit back and enjoy! I have very bad anxiety/depression and this game has really helped me with that. Every morning I sit back with my cup of coffee before work, check on my fishes growth/feed them. It gives me something to look forward to every morning. During stressful situations it also helps me just sit back and relax, kind of take a break when I’m overstimulated with the world around me. I am sad I’ve almost collected all the fish patterns. It would be cool in the future to see more patterns/colors to collect. I do love that the game is very simple and you aren’t getting pushed to spend real money on the game to get certain things. It would be cool if you could have a trade feature so you could trade your fish with different people for a fish you find you are more drawn to. Another cool feature would be a full customer option. Where you could customize the fishes body type, fine tune colors, choose the pattern you want and specifically where you want them, the different color of the patterns, the fin type and shape, also adding in some different types of long fin options. One last cool option would be if you could have unlimited ponds instead of being limited to just three so you can keep growing and adding more fish. Along with an option you can move a fish to any one of your ponds.

Honestly, this game has the best graphics of any game I’ve ever played on my phone, and is super relaxing. However I have been experiencing a bug where the fish suddenly aren’t able to move forward, the swimming animation will still be working, but they can’t move, and it doesn’t fix unless I restart the game. It usually either happens when I first load into the game or right when I feed my fish, and the highest number of fish it has affected at the same time for me has only been two, however it is still annoying when I have to restart the game because one of my fish can’t eat anything. Also, I think it would be nice if while you are designing a fish, it gives you info on how large the fish is, and how big it is estimated to grow. Because I find it difficult to figure out if the fish I’m creating is a decent size and won’t end up being a small fish. And if you were to add more decor for the pond, maybe make it possible to add petals on the water, or a new type of lily pad with flowers on them, I forget what kind of flowers they are called. Also I think it would be cool if while you are feeding the fish, the fish can come up to the surface of the water and wait for you to drop more food. Also, my last suggestion is that you could add a currency into the game, where you can maybe sell your fish for money to buy either exotic looking koi, or maybe be able to purchase statues and more decorations for your pond.

In a word, superb! I have had many koi type apps in the past. Had pocket pond 2 for years. Everything was SO expensive and difficult to buy or earn. But this app, is just amazing. Once you purchase this app, you will not spend another DIME. This app is not another pay to play app. All the decorations for the ponds are already available from the start. You get 3 ponds and don’t have to buy or earn them. You earn more koi by simply feeding them once a day and watching them grow. The bigger the koi get, the more spaces and breeds become available. I absolutely LOVE this game. I have kept koi in real life for over 35 years. And what I love about this game is they are actual breeds. YOU get to choose the colors, the patterns, the breeds, for your ponds. And you can rename them once created. And if u decide you don’t like a certain koi you’ve created, simply remove it and instantly create another to take its place. The graphics are stunning! The rain, thunder, water lilies, everything is SO realistic. The koi look like actual real breeds. And once you unlock an achievement, such as a koi reaching a certain length in one pond, it unlocks another space and breed for ALL 3 ponds. I only give this game 5 stars because I can’t give it 10! The fact it is not pay to play, and everything is so realistic, along with all pond decorations not having to be bought or earned, is awesome. Thank you for creating such an amazing koi pond app that is amazing, and after buying it, everything is free! Trust me when I tell you, if you are a koi lover, you will not regret the few dollars it costs purchasing this app! 😄

This app has quickly become one of my all-time favorites! The fish are beautiful and mesmerizing to watch, and I love the ambient sounds of the rainfall, frogs, insects, and birds. The ripples of the water, the shadows of the fish and plants, the occasional passing butterfly, and the distant thunder and lightning are perfect. It’s obvious to me that the developer is an avid observer of nature and aquatic life. I love the options for controlling the time of day, which directly correspond to the ambient background sounds. The underwater viewing feature is nice for when you prefer a more constant sound, rather than the changing noises of the birds and such. This such a remarkably well-designed app, not only in the graceful and realistic movements of the fish, but also the soothing aspects. It is so thoughtful of the developer to include an ambient background function, because the app is very pleasant to use during naps or when I’m going to bed. In this way, the lights are dimmed and the power usage is decreased to enable less battery utilization. I mostly use the app on my iPad rather than my iPhone, because I enjoy the larger viewing screen. I actually bought a better easel stand for my iPad than what I already had, just so I could better enjoy this app. If you’re going to buy only one app for relaxation and/or meditation purposes, I highly recommend this one ❤️

Wasn’t quite what I was expecting hence the 4 star not the 5 star, but don’t let that one star less or a price tag push you away. Features are a bit lacking in some ways (frankly not sure what I would add), but in other ways the devs went above and beyond. They didn’t need to add the “sound only” mode (sorry forgot it’s actual name), and the detail they put into the graphics, wow stunning. The fish are beautiful, the little customizations you can do to your pond really make it feel like your own, the way the water looks in unreal, especially for a phone. However if you are looking for a more traditional game this is not that, it is much more of a zen garden type thing. A few minutes of playing, with a couple of hours of listening. Also in a game like this, having a paywall was very smart. No one wants to be interrupted by an ad when they are taking care of their Koi. And as far as Freemium goes, this game would be awful if you had to pay for more Koi slots. Any way good game if you are looking for a relaxation type deal not worth it if you want a busywork gameplay type deal.

As a goldfish/koi enthusiast, this is now my favorite app. I’ve played around with aquarium/fish apps, but this one gives me the experience of something I’ll probably never be able to afford. Enjoying a koi pond! Beautiful and relaxing, but really it’s in the koi settings where you adjust the characteristics of the koi, where I see the attention to detail. I have plenty of goldies! From lionchu, orandas, pearlscales, telescopes, and ranchu. I’m in love with kanoko patterns, and how each fish is so unique, watching how their coloring changes, black revealing orange over time. It’s interesting to see how accurate they got the color fade setting so that you can pull/fade pigments adjust color but still keep it realistic, right down to scale type! I have to drag myself away from baby koi begging for food at LFS, knowing I can’t afford a set up for them. But the app is giving me the same giddiness I get around real waterbabies.

I’m not particularly a huge fan of fish, preferring aquarium fish myself, but I really enjoy this app. I “play” it on my iPad 9.7 where it is simply beautiful. The rain and thunder sound great, the fish are beautiful and highly customizable, and unlike real fish they do not seem to ever die; the worst thing that happens is that your ponds will become dirty if the fish are mad that you’ve been too long in between feedings. The ponds, like the fish, are highly customizable, from rocks, leaves, and gravel to the color of the water. You can change the time of day and choose to have little to constant rain and thunderstorms. I think it’s absolutely worth the $3 the developer asks for this app. I would love to see the developer take his fish designs and create an aquarium app that has dozens to hundreds of popular aquarium fish. The talent he or she has shown in the My Koi app tells me that the developer has the talent to create an aquarium app that would rival the best of them, and I would happily pay $3-$10 for an aquarium app created by this person or persons. The only complaint that I have with this app is that there doesn’t seem to be much information on it - for example, can the fish die from starvation or just old age? If the pond(s) is/are not kept clean, can they develop a fishy disease? Can you over feed the fish, and will over feeding contribute to a dirty pond? I would also love to see maybe a random toad or frog that hangs around the pond once in a while just to liven it up a bit. My complaint is a very minor one and is significantly overshadowed by all of the praise that I heap upon this app. Very, very well done.

Ok so the title is a joke but like it is so peaceful to just sit and watch the fish swim around. Maybe I am too easily entertained but I absolutely love how stress kinda fades into the background when I’m listening to the music/ambience and watching em swim. This is also just a really well made game. The graphics are soooo pretty, the mechanics are straightforward, and it doesn’t feel like adding more stressful tasks to your day (feeding them is not a hassel at all, and isn’t required every single day). You don’t have to worry about fish dying but you do get to look forward to unlocking more slots as they get bigger! Plus you get to design how they look yourself (the fish and the pond backgrounds!), which is very satisfying and lets me create themed ponds that my weird little brain really enjoys. Not to mention, unlike almost every other collecting/caring for pets type game I’ve played, you don’t have to pay a stupid amount of money/grind to progress! Three dollars is a reasonable price, especially since the dev is just one guy in his spare time (or at least that’s what the customer service looks like). We appreciate you buddy, this app is awesome!! My only qualms are that the first time I open it for the day, it’s really slow to load and I have to exit the app and get back in for it to start up (really not even a problem), and that you can change the time of day for the ponds but there’s no way to automatically sync it to the actual current time of day (which would be cool but again, not really a problem at all). Honestly I only mentioned those things so y’all don’t think I’m a bot 💀💀 Goodness knows how many fake reviews are on the app store rn
