Ludus injects some incredibly welcome excitement into the mobile strategy genre by successfully wedding merge puzzle pacing with tactical deck building. Matches are snappy, rarely lasting more than a few minutes, making it highly addicting. The split-second decision making required to merge your troops while tracking the enemy's unit composition creates a genuinely engaging competitive loop.

As with most competitive card games on mobile, running into opponents who have heavily out-leveled your card pool through microtransactions can feel frustrating at higher tiers. However, clever positioning, cohesive deck synergy, and smart economy management during a match can frequently overcome brute force. It is polished, highly competitive, and offers a refreshing mechanical spin that keeps strategy fans coming back.

While playing this game, I truly accidentally bought an in app purchase worth $100 and literally two seconds after I realize that happened I contacted Support I didn’t touch any of the currency that I’ve accident I accidentally purchased and I contacted them and let them know what had happened. I told them explain to them as an accident. They told me that they don’t have a refund policy and that sorry I’ll be out of money even though I didn’t touch it. I was just wanting to give it back to them because it was an accident and yeah, they just decided to say no then I can pay you back. I went to google store they wouldn’t let me get a refund developer and I told him I didn’t they didn’t is your refund and now I’m out $100 for some stupid Ace game I could care two shats about. So by everywhere or play everywhere if you actually buy some thing you’re never gonna see your money back so just be really cautious about how you spend if you spend money and I don’t even spend money and actually click the button and my two factor authorization of the rotation was somehow logged out and so it was a one touch pay and I just accidentally exit out of the payment plan but I actually hit OK. I was just a big mistake so don’t let this happen to you if you continue plays game, just be aware that you’re not gonna see any of your money back, I would place in anyway it’s kind of boring and it’s the same as most other games that are similar to this

Could be one of the best games yet

I’ve been searching for months for a new game. I used to play clash of clans but left the game when they added the 2nd base. (it was hard enough to upgrade one but now two????) Then I picked up Clash Royal and it was fun for while. However, there was a point in the PVP ladder where you would play for 2 hours straight and not gain any trophies. So, I was looking for a game with great graphics, simple yet competitive gameplay, and the ability to overcome you enemy with strategy alone. This is that game. The look of the game is top tier. One of the best games I’ve seen in awhile. The game is easy to pick up and play and has SO MANY tutorials. They really brought me up to speed really quickly. There are so many ways and events to gain cards, gems, and gold. They even rotate the element cards each week by giving them a buff for that week. This really mixes up gameplay and strategy and helps prevent the game from turning stale. I’ve found my new game that I will be playing daily. Thanks developers! Keep up the great work!

Fun but pay to play = not fun anymore

I have been playing this game for almost 2 years and the last few months they have changed the season to a biweekly season for everything and there are three or four different games within the game and each one of them has an option to pay for a pass, which is anywhere from $15-30. If you want to get the powerful characters, you have to do that and you have to spend money. I have been playing the game since they’ve done this. My winner ratio went from like 68% to 48% as I’m getting beat by much much lower players for example I am a 1200 trophy rating and I’m getting beat by four and 500 trophy people because they spend hundred dollars on this game. The more trophies you have more powerful your deck is because it applies a power bonus to your rating for every time you upgrade your deck. With that said, no one four or 500 trophy rating below you should ever be beating you but that’s the way this game goes. They don’t really care about the common person. They just want the people spending of cash. They are clearly targeting the Middle East and other wealthy regions of the world where people get free money and sit at home and play games all day while those who try to play the game for fun and can’t afford to spend a fortune on this game are getting wiped left and right. I will also have level nine and level 10 characters across-the-board and then some guy comes up with level eight of these super powerful characters and still beat me despite being a 500 trophy and players on their deck.

All you need is legendaries

I've been playing this game for a little over 1-2 months I really got sunk into the game because it has you needing to actually use critical thinking to win, BUT on the other hand no amount of thinking, no amount of luck (which is also a big part of this game) will ever have me better than someone who has a full legendary team. The game is wanting me to use different faction characters to increase those characters value, but if those characters are not legendary, then once again no matter how good you are at this game, you will not win because yall have not found out how to balance your cards power and that counts to common, rare, epic, and legendary cards. Yall need to learn how to properly balance your rarities of cards, just because a card is common, rare, or epic, it should not be completely getting destroyed by legendary cards. Because I'm watching my opponents play the game while not thinking of their placement, they've got low level heroes and mine are almost super merged with a 50 star rating, and just because they are common, rare, and epic, my whole game is basically thrown in the trash. Please fix the actual balancing of cards to where "free play" players have a chance. I get it yall keep flaunting these legendary cards to me all day, so that's all yall want me and everyone else to do, all yall want is money, I get it, but the more fun you make the game, the more people play, the more people spend. Truly easy to understand.

Impulse buying strategies

I honestly was extremely drawn to this game, i played last season didn’t buy anything for a while. As soon as i made my first purchase not even for an “edge” against my competitors, just some diamond bundle. I started playing after that and started noticing all of the horrible balancing, instead of taking the money out right away i had over $100 charged over a span of 3 weeks of grouped mini purchases in which some weren’t even accurate on my bill but you cant argue with it because it all shows up as if you bought bundles so you look like the liar with no refund. You will have a clear advantage over your opponent with power, card level and perks and if you don’t click on ads for “free” items or want to spend $24+ for every “exclusive” card you will get wiped no matter what strategy you use. I played in tournaments where players that i have knocked off myself or watch them be taken out by others and when your about to win those same players get thrown back into the pool and are 100x stronger with a team they did-not build and make sure you don’t get any victories past 2nd or 4th. You report bugs and they send you automated messages about how teams work and how cards have power ups during certain events, which is a lie. Because you will have a great team with every perk and power up and someone with blue and green cards will destroy you. The game gets you hooked then makes sure you don’t feel good enough and have to buy any and almost everything to enjoy it. Crazy for a game that just signed a multi-million $ deal last year to do this. Would have been a perfect game, but just like all the rest (and early on mind you) just here to bait and take money.

Unbalanced

I’ve been playing for the last two months and wonder if players have the same opinions as I do, and yes many others seem to think this game is unfair and unbalanced, which makes it eventually unplayable, I can’t remember how many times I simply lose a game just because the opponents just buy the legendary characters and put them all in the same team (you have to pay to get them), one recent example is I got two full health characters left and the opponent has the Princess just ram back and forth to kill my last two characters after she revives (why does she have revive is beyond me), in the last patch, the development team buffed some characters by adding some perks, which isn’t “balancing”, you straight up just need to nerf the legendary characters down to the bone, start by stripping away their unifaction status, that feature makes no sense especially during revive week, they all reanimate after being killed, as difficult enough to kill them the first time. The development team needs to stop saying “thank you for your feedback, we’ll keep improving and balancing the game”, you clearly not, you just released another legendary Santa, now most opponents I play against have at least 3 legendary. You can start by limiting one legendary per team combo.

Getting real stupid

I’ve been playing this game for about a month now and for the last two week All I’ve been fight is people who have significantly much more Attack power then I do , I’m at 280% attack power and All I’ve been fighting is people who have 400%-500%+ Attack power . 9/10 times you will lose any battle against someone who has more attack power and I’m tired of losing every game because people who have clearly been playing for much longer then me are getting put against me in every battle I play . This match making system is seriously trash with no hope in sight. So many people I’ve talked to in many different clans feel the same way I do , how is it fair for me to fight people that I will clearly lose to every game !?? It’s not like there isn’t other people playing this game that are ACTUALLY around my Attack power % to make it an ACTUAL Real and Fair match!!!!! I guarantee people will stop plaything is game in huge waves if this simple issue isn’t fixed in any way ! Do better with your game devs…..

Broken Game

Do not waste money on this game. I hate to write this review but when the developers only care about money and don’t care about fixing the problems with their game reviews like this have to be written they keep saying that they’re working on it or they give you this copy and paste answer as to why things happen But no matter how many people try and contact the developers to get the game fixed. They just put out new stuff to make more money. After being a long time player, I have watched the player base dwindle. Yes, there are new players coming onto the game, but the players that were playing for a lengthy period of time are leaving because it’s broken. And when they leave the developers take their account and turn it into a bot account. Which then gets a boost and overpowers the new players. Well, I understand that you guys are actively working on this game and I understand that comes at a cost, but the constant increasing money from your player base to participate is getting out of control. You guys should offer a discounted pack that players can purchase that covers the battle pass the tournament pass. Add free instead of expecting your players to spend almost $100 a month to play your game.
