Too Many Issues

I’m a huge Harvest Moon fan, I have every game on every platform they have come out with and have never been disappointed until now. I love this game but I’m ready to give up on it and really feel like I should be given a refund because the game constantly crashes I save it after everything I do but it is really but you can’t save the game in the mines and it is really annoying to spend the day in the mine collecting what should be a huge payday and have the game crash as soon as you exit the mine before you can save your progress. Also my quests from villagers will not work, I have the required items, I have tried everything I can think of and tried looking online for a solution to my problem but I am not able to complete quests. The game glitches out often and gets stuck not allowing me to move at all. I really feel like this game is a very sad representation of the amazing games I know this developer can put out and the fact that they have not fixed these issues and it’s basically been forgotten but they are still charging $15 for this problematic game. They lost a lot of respect from one of their hugest fans. I strongly advise against purchasing this game unless they come out with a new update and will be contacting apple to suggest having it removed from the App Store because these issues have not been addresses and from the comments of other players you can see it’s been an issue for a very long time.

Too many issues

The weather destruction on crops you grow is extremely annoying. Especially when you are growing a special crop that are seeds that came from request gift. Too many destroyed to make you keep farming. I plan to switch to orchards. Mining is super irritating with touch screens. Not consistent with Fishing is not really possible. Even with bait. Why make a game that frustrating? The point of games is to have fun, not get mad. Please fix. The sprites are cute, but get in the way constantly even if you give them gifts, and too many movies! Thank you fixing the crashes, particularly during mining! Loading screens are too long, longer than it should be for a saved game. There needs to be more explanation on the requests, because you need to use mailbox to view it first, not just use the menu. If you do not view from mailbox then you cannot give item to person requesting it. Personally too many requests for me. Very frustrating until you figure it out. The bookshelf is not even needed other than hours of shops. I could keep going with fixes suggested...but i think you get it, just the game is more irritating than fun! I have always liked this series but you are losing fans. One thing that you have gotten perfect is the growing of crops and trees. Easy. Characters are usual ones from previous games, wish more suitors for girl but overall improvements made on previous games. Thank you.

Great, but a few bugs.

I love this game, and all the Harvest Moon games. This version however keeps bugging out on me. Quite often the screen goes black. This usually happens when fishing, or loading in between screens. So the screen goes black, but the timer keeps going. You can see your bag, but can’t get into it. The only thing you can do is to shut your game completely, and start the day over 😕 When I’ve spent so much time getting the day just perfect, this is a real bummer. Still a fun game though. Update: I had lower my review to 1 star :( Even though the Harvest Moon games are typically my favorites, the game is so buggy I can’t even get through one day of gameplay. Within minutes of starting a day the screen goes black, and I have to restart. Unplayable. Please refund my money. So are you guys ever planning on fixing this or just taking our money, and leaving us frustrated? I just spend 1/2 hour playing, and then the screen went black, and I’ll have to start all over...again. This franchise is so popular, do you not care about your reputation? UPDATE PLEASE 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I can't believe all the bad reviews. I was scared to get it because of all the bad reviews. I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews. I played the hell out of seeds of memories on iPad and I got this game and I'm glad I did. I like it so much better than SOM... I've played about an hour so far and still figuring things out. I know a lot of complaints are recycled characters but those are characters I've always loved so I'm glad to see them in the game. It really is a great game and a lot of fun although pricey. But I for one love the art style and I feel like the graphics look much better then SOM... the ONLY thing I am worried about is the fishing, that seems to be a major issues for all the reviews on here, I'm not at that part yet so I don't know, stardew Valley is a well known game but the fishing is really frustrating on that game too, SOM it was just tap tap tap it was easy to catch fish. I sure hope it's not like stardew valley. I love fishing in these games and I get a lot of income by fishing. Anyways I'm not sorry for my purchase as I am enjoying the game.

SUPER SLOW LOADING

There are constant loading screens. Read these words and understand that this game is a rip off. When an NPC hands you something? Loading screen. When you move from one room to another? Loading screen. When you open up an interface? Loading screen. It doesn’t matter what you do there’s a loading screen. This wouldn’t be so bad but the loading screen takes at least five seconds. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING. Within five minutes of playing, at least half of it was spent watching a black screen with a spinning brown loading icon. This game isn’t worth the money. If they couldn’t figure out how to make a game that doesn’t have so much long loading then they shouldn’t be taking out money. I wish I could get a refund. I can’t play the game like this! By the way I have an iPhone X. So this isn’t some problem with the age of my phone. This is very very bad game development. The game is unplayable like this. It’s weird that so many people have so much free time to waste by waiting for all this loading. I honestly want my money back.

Not That Bad

Okie okie…I see the issues that some people have complained about. The game does tend to crash when you are doing a lot of things and the loading screens are a little on the long side, but, This is a good game and this is coming from someone who likes Story of Seasons more. The game isn’t all that bad, the characters are a little dull and the lack of character customization is a tad frustrating…however it’s still pretty fun to play. Fishing?? Easy. Literally all you do is tap the screen, idk why so many reviewers say it’s impossible?? You’re just tapping. The farming is simple and easy, if you lightly hold down one of the corners to your tilled spot you can drag to select more spaces to throw more seeds all at once, you can also do this with harvesting crops. Collecting materials is easy and getting money through fishing is a breeze, I’m still in the first season and already hit 20k multiple times. Some aspects are still annoying or an inconvenience but I mean…for like $7 this is pretty fun and tbh…a lot easier to control the character than Stardew!!! And Stardew has always been my #1 game!! If you have the extra funds take a chance. It’s a really chill way to pass the time once you really start getting into it.

Don’t Be Scared of the Bad Reviews!!

I love farming life sim games. The kind you find on Steam, Xbox, and Switch. I was searching for something similar that I could play on my IPad Pro. There aren’t a lot and I was worried about purchasing this one because of the negative reviews. I finally decided to give it a try. The only complaint I have is the lack of controller support. I wish that worked a little better but the touch controls are surprisingly good and I haven’t had any issues with the game quitting or freezing. I played two seasons and not one issue. I’m happy with the purchase and wanted to share for those that may be on the fence. It’s a cute game that is narrative driven. The days are long and you can make plenty of gold with gems in the mine. All and all is a good game and worth $15.

I’ve been playing harvest moon since I was 4 years old and it’s one of my all time favorite game series. Recently, I’ve been thinking about buying a HM game to pass the time (quarantine), but I can’t find a decently priced N64 or PSP anyway. This game has a Hero of Leaf Valley feel mixed with HM Boy and Girl. But, somehow, it still feels like 64. I don’t understand how there are so many bad reviews on this game. The only thing I noticed that I could bring up is that when you’re playing the game for hours without breaks in between, the game crashes and you have to re load the app; as long as you save it doesn’t really effect the progress. Other than that, I think buying this game was the best decision I could’ve made (seeing as the entire world is locked in their houses right now). Thank you, Natsume! - a life long HM player.
