Issue fixes and improvements
I was real skeptical of this game it looked to good to be free like there would be a catch or something but this is really a great game the best thing to compare it as far as general game play would be the Witcher series in the Westeros universe, yes there is micro transaction and if you want to pvp competitively then you’re probably going to have to drop some $ just because that’s the only way to keep up with the other people willing to drop $ but if you’re like me and try and avoid pvp in games then the micro transactions are not a big deal some of them are actually pretty good deals and they’re not constantly being thrusted in your face and the story/side quest/activities are easily manageable without the micro-transactions plus compared to other games this game is actually really generous with their daily rewards and event rewards most of the major micro transactions are just time savers or cosmetics so don’t really make or break the game, It would be real nice to see a console cross over like some of the other less deserving mobil games have (my phone can just barley handle the 10+gb storage requirement and worried a few more updates and I’ll be out of commission) but either way this game easily deserves at least a running for mobil game of the year it is a really well put together game and you can tell the creators actually did some good research on the GOT universe and actually care about the lore
I’m absolutely blown away, this is a full PC game on mobile. It’s like Skyrim meets Oblivion meets the Witcher meets every amazing rpg game ever made combined times 100x lol its a full fledge rpg like elder scrolls on crack it’s like playing a new season of GOT and it’s just plain fun, it seems a little basic at first and I was worried, then 10 minutes in you realize how vast everything is and the amount of things you can do and will be able to do, download this game, it’s absolutely incredible. Thank you AAA+++ I’m speechless, except for this manic rant but the game is soooooo good. I haven’t felt this way playing a game since playing Oblivion and Skyrim, it runs great great at almost max settings even on an older iPad which is great and any new phone it’s max and flawless. You can ride a horse, it has actual stealth like assassins creed, it’s just great. You must download this game, you won’t regret it. It’s absolutely amazing and addictive and doesn’t seem like a cash grab at all, all the actors are there too, John snow etc it’s really epic. Thank you devs, back to playing now. This is the greatest game ever made for mobile, hands down. It’s a AAA PC rpg!
Luckily for me I have the best solution for Winter, heat, because boy oh boy does this game make your phone heat up. I found my solution to cold nights at home. Aside from that I have enjoyed the game and also haven’t felt the need to grind (surprisingly) which I don’t know if that’s a good thing or bad thing. I of course got it for the nostalgia and it’s been pretty cool and I even read the dialogues (another surprising thing). I hope future updates bring better optimization. As far as the cash grab stuff goes, meh, it’s in many games nowadays that it’s unfortunately become common practice. I mean look at Fortnite, MW, Retail WoW, etc. companies are going to make money where they can. It’s an unfortunate reality we live in but one we need to adjust to or move on and don’t support the games so things can potentially change. Problem is we live in a time of nonsense and FOMO and that’s the culture we are in now if you look at some of the skins/cosmetics in some of the above mentioned games. I, like many of you, miss the times of simplicity and just joy from casual gaming with friends without all this extra nonsense but we live in a society led by instant gratification and people wanting to stand out somewhere in the world and sadly that’s online for many folks. At least they have a place, be humble, be happy, be well.
I’ll try keep this short and simple. If you’re into RPGs, this is hands down a must to have. It’s fun, story driven, action packed. You can choose a class, parry enemies, and fight bosses and elite enemies. It’s all what you look for in an RPG. Unfortunately if you get really annoyed at bugs and lags this is going to be a tough game to get through. My hope is that since the game is new that the bugs will be patched so for now I give it 5 stars. If the issues persist over extend period of time then I’ll come back and lower it to 4 stars. I have great internet speed, the latest iPhone, and play on the lowest settings, however randomly the game will freeze/lag rendering me completely useless against enemies. When the game comes back, a bevy of hit points against me pop up, most of the time killing me, and I have to start again from my last checkpoint. It’s really frustrating. All in all, it’s worth a download.
I’m not one to leave reviews and have a strong dislike for F2P games, But so far this game I le fair and not predatory with its purchases. I spent $12 for the subscription and a $2 pack (I support developers it’s how they’re able to make these) but I haven’t had to use anything I’ve purchased 4 hours in. Great story, Decent graphics (can’t put it on ultra high or the phone burns and it’s switches between performance mode back and forth so make sure to check your settings) All in all Netmarble does it again and strikes gold. Great job team and please keep it non greedy in future updates and I’ll happily help with support as with others. I don’t consider mobile games like console games but this one gives consoles a run for their money (I hope they release it on ps5 eventually they’ll make even more bank) 10/10, excellent game. Download it!
The game is well done and very enjoyable if you like this type and style of RPG, which I do. Think LOTR meets Elder Scrolls with less complexity. I have been playing daily since the launch with no problems logging in, zero lag and no crashing. Everything changed the last two days. Troubles logging into the game, freezing during play, and constant crashing. Imagine almost taking down a boss in play only to have it freeze and crash before completion, and then returning to same spot with the boss restored to full health and ready to take you down. And imagine having that happen over and over. This makes the game unplayable. I am playing on an a newer iPad. The issues are not on my end because I can play other games with no problems. Apparently they do not have the server structure to support increasing numbers of players. I am giving it a day or two to see if they can get their issues resolved; otherwise I will probably walk away. Too bad.
I have an iPhone 13 Pro, fully updated. I downloaded this game as a big fan of the GoT series, and from the start I had to mess around with the settings to make it work for me while still looking good. Eventually I was forced to run the lowest settings possible, and even after that the game got stuck at the part where I meet Lord Bolton. No matter what I do to the settings it keeps crashing during the scene. It’s really a shame because my laptop doesn’t have enough space to download the PC version of the game and I really did love the little bit that I got to play. Hopefully in future updates the team behind the mobile version can optimize it more so I can keep playing it. For now, I’m gonna have to delete it until it becomes playable.
So far the game seems fun, story driven action RPG, reminds me of a modern assassins creed game or Witcher or even Genshin impact minus the anime of course. It seems like controller works but may not be actually officially supported since there is nothing in the settings that shows what the controller buttons do, nothing in the UI that shows what buttons do what, you have to press all the buttons on the controller to figure out what each one does. Another issue is that when you press the dodge button on controller, it also opens the menu at the same time, so as it stands right now you can’t dodge in the game without open the menu over and over again. Dodging is a pretty important mechanic and not being able to use it makes combat not work properly. To be clear, you can play the game with a controller, minus the dodging, but controller definitely has problems. I will change my review score once controller support is officially added with in game indications and the dodging/menu issue is fixed.
