Our Expert Score

88/100

Aniimo brings a refreshing, beautifully crafted vision to the open-world creature-collecting genre on mobile. From the moment you step into its vast world, the sense of scale and freedom is captivating. The creature designs feel distinct and lively, avoiding generic tropes and giving each monster a personality that makes hunting down rare species immensely rewarding.

The core gameplay loop strikes a fine balance between relaxing open-world exploration and thoughtful combat mechanics. Building a balanced squad requires paying attention to elemental traits and creature synergy, which adds genuine strategy to tougher encounters. Combined with sleek visual production, smooth performance, and engaging multiplayer social features, Aniimo stands out as a top-tier title for monster-taming fans.

Mobile not working yet as expected.

I wand to start off saying this is a fun game on console and the concept to port it to mobile is sweet, however…. As expected for a first day launch of a port over i have experienced a huge issue thats is even keeping me from playing. I cant even launch because the server list is showing no options to select and if i hit the screen to launch it just tells me to wait a while and try again. Im really hoping this gets resolved because i would definitely like to play this game on the go. Best of luck.

I love this

I love Pokémon but I don’t like spending money. If I were to say it’s better then Pokémon I would be lying but.. my friends all say it’s better js. I myself 100% think it is just as good or on par with Pokémon I would recommend every Pokémon fan to try this game. Also have a lot of the Pokémon games on my switch and I put more hours into this game then I have in any Pokémon game except for champions.. Great game not many bugs the only downside I would say is when I am playing with my friends I can’t collect anything unless I am near them also pvping my brother would be a plus as well there is none which isn’t a game killer but I would like to face my friends.

Not PTW, and not micro transaction aggressive.

I don’t know if I see longevity in this game. Once you 100%, it will lack content for as long as it takes them to make new updates. I am having a lot of fun, and you get used to everything pretty quick. It seems like it’s a lot to learn but it sticks. I would give it 5 stars if there were better ways to play multiplayer, and the rare form hunting wasn’t so easy. If they regularly add new aniimo, and prismatic forms, it will be 5 stars.

I play this game on my pc and I love it! I just downloaded it for the preorder and it won’t let me into the game (I’m doing a separate account on my phone). The server list is empty and it doesn’t let me go past the Home Screen, says to wait and try again later. Hopefully this can be fixed soon, but this game is beautiful and amazing!! Thank you for the team for working so hard on a game like this and for making it free to play. We need more games like this!

This is a mmo Pokemon clone and it’s extremely addictive the background music is very relaxing it’s a stress free mobile game it’s not a pay to win game so don’t worry I also play this on my Xbox and PlayStation. Had to get the mobile app I play on my breaks and lunch while at work. While they don’t make you pay for anything I still do it’s not very much and it’s really only for looks but it’s just fun and I enjoy it if your looking for a new game try it

Two HUGE problems for me:
Mon Sep 21 2026 DandyGDDMNT

While the game is interesting and cute there's two huge problems for me. Firstly; the prismana and sparkling system is a joke bc of how RNG heavy it is. I took part in the prismana Glynsera event got the targeted Aniimo and caught it in my only sparkling cube. When I looked at it, the sparkle type I got made it look like it's normal coloring so I wasted IRL money on this event for nothing all that special. Secondly; quests SHOULD NOT take several real time days to complete. One day is fine but more than that makes those stories uninteresting and easy to abandon without finishing. So I guess don't expect much from this other than a time killer when there's f2p things to do.

Game looks cool too bad it doesn’t work
Mon Sep 21 2026 ArtistGamer

I got super excited for release, preordered it, and once it released I downloaded everything, created an account, and went to join a server… too bad the server doesn’t exist, theres not a single server option, clicked join and it says “wait a while and try again later”, you wait nothing happens, change internet settings nothing happens, go through the fuss of redownloading it nothing happens sometimes in the select server button it gives an actual error and it just says check internet settings. I’ve tried different Wi-Fi connections, Ive tried cellular settings, nothing
