Ready to get back to the kitchen? Here's what's been happening behind the scenes:
— Everything runs a little more smoothly
— A few small issues have been tidied up along the way
— More tasty surprises are almost ready to serve
Update the game and get back to cooking!
We Are Cooking delivers the classic, fast-paced rush that time-management arcade lovers crave. The core gameplay loop of juggling frying pans, soda dispensers, and impatient diner orders feels tight and responsive. Visual feedback is colorful and appetizing, keeping player focus high during peak restaurant rushes.
However, progress can hit typical free-to-play friction points in later levels where kitchen upgrades become expensive. While patient players can grind through stages, ad frequency and difficulty spikes encourage monetization. Nevertheless, for casual sessions of quick kitchen chaotic fun, it hits all the right operational beats.
Vast array of international dishes and recipes to master
Hundreds of fast-paced arcade cooking levels
Kitchen equipment and interior decoration upgrades
Combo scoring system rewarding rapid sequential service
Tap ingredients in the correct sequence to prepare dishes before customer patience meters run out.
Invest earned coins into faster cooktops, extra plate slots, and premium ingredients to handle higher customer density.
Cook multiple dishes concurrently while pacing orders to avoid burning food or losing impatient customers.
Unlock new theme restaurants with distinct menus, varying cooking mechanics, and unique visual aesthetics.
Core single-player cooking stages can be played offline, though online connectivity is needed for special events and store purchases.
I play a ton of games. It’s how I relax after single momming two toddlers at the end of the day and I must say this is def a new favorite. I love that it’s an upright game, so you don’t have to hold your phone on its side. This means I can use both hands to play in a more comfortable way. For me, anyway. The graphics are GORGEOUS, so it’s a pleasure to look at. I’m really picky about how a game looks and I am loving the look. I like that the customers also don’t get angry at me hahahaha well they haven’t yet but that’s a nice change hahaha. I’m not too much in but so far I love that this is a chill cooking game. And most games have ads now a days. Which is how they make money and I get that. When I find a game I like, that I know I’m going to be playing I don’t mind paying 4.99 to remove popups. It’s few and far between and if you are a phone gamer you know that in one way or another you’re going to end up paying for a package of sorts at some point. Sooooo not worth complaining about to me. I love the game! And hope it doesn’t run out of restaurants ❤️ I would only ask that they make a way you can go back and play the levels/restaurants you’ve played previously (you spent all that time designing them right?) for maybe an extra prize or some extra money. I like to bounce between restaurants sometimes in these cooking games.
I have been playing this game for a few weeks and I’m enjoying it! I like that it feels very casual, like I can play for a few rounds, progress and put the game down to let energy refill. I love that it doesn’t feel like a pay to win game! Extra energy and boosts are awarded at good intervals (in my opinion). I haven’t felt like I needed to purchase boosts to progress semi rapidly. I do recommend purchasing the no ads option for $2 (if able) as it’s made gameplay much more enjoyable for me. I do wish there were more continuous mini games to help earn rewards. Other than that - thanks for a good game!
I really like this game, and I want to keep playing. It doesn’t feel like other cooking games that are difficult to upgrade or difficult level to pass. There are two reasons that I give it four stars. 1, I wish the amount of energy would slowly increase as you level up. I understand that this is where the app gets people to use real money to get more energy, but if you keep increasing the multiplier but keep the energy at 20, it might stop some people from playing entirely. 2, the additional awards every 3-4 days states that we will get a grant price if we accomplish everything, but there is no way to see how many are still required to get to the grant price. Is it just the accumulation of everything? Or is it because you set it to a point where no one can actually complete and get to the grant price and it is there to lure us to play? I’m starting to think it’s the latter. At least let the player see where the end goal is, so they are more motivated to play. At least I am like that, I don’t like not knowing how far I need to go to reach the grant price.
This is probably my favorite game to pass time waiting for appointments or just killing time. I went all the way through the courtship of the characters in the game, which is secondary to the game play itself, and I finished all the restaurants and ended back up at the young couple and the hot dog cart. Some of the restaurants are harder than others, especially since I am allergic to seafood and had no idea what some of the stuff was - lol. I had gotten busy and hadn’t played in maybe a month. I started playing the level where I left off, hot dogs and nachos…I was almost through with the level, but every other time I would press play the game/app would crash on my phone. Before the update, this was a 5 star game. Even though it has a timer it’s not stressful, the characters in the game aren’t rude, and the developer didn’t make it impossible to complete. Each level has a unique restaurant experience and they are colorful and fun to play. To the developer please fix the crashing issue. Thanks.
If I had written this review before the last update it would have been a solid 5 stars. In the last update they took away the optional ad to increase the amount of money you earned in the last level. This made it faster and easier to get from restaurant to restaurant. It would take me a day or so to complete a restaurant, which was the perfect amount of time at each place. If I wanted to play longer I could, but I wasn’t stuck in the same restaurant for 4-5 days. By the time I move into the next restaurant I don’t want to play, I don’t want to spend another 5 days at this restaurant. By taking away the opportunity to earn more money that made this game exhausting and boring. I went from playing it everyday for hours on end to maybe playing it for an hour a day at most. This went from my favorite game to one that’s getting closer and closer to being deleted. This was a bad update and I hope they go back on it.
I LOVED this game! I liked the challenge of seeing how many customers could be served in one minute. This last updated took that away and now you only get a certain amount of customers. Took all the challenge out of it. I loved that it was just one minute per game and you couldn’t add time. Customers didn’t get upset and leave. You could earn elements if you played often (mega wheel is awesome!). Taking the time limit away makes it blah. Earned elements don’t matter anymore. I wouldn’t mind if some boards were the one minute and others the number of customers, but just being customer based takes all the challenge away. I still enjoy the other elements, so will continue to play for a time. I can already feel my interest declining due to this latest update, however. I am sad because I thought I finally found the perfect game. 😟
This is a really fun game with nice graphics. It would be even more fun if the time were extended for each level for even 15-30 seconds for more of a challenge. 55-60 seconds goes by too quickly. Also it would be fun to go back to previous restaurants to earn the money to buy the next one. also I noticed that the app does not seem to let you make a mistake on the sides which is nice but albeit there can be a “hard” or “challenge” mode where you can make a mistake on the side dishes if you were not careful. One of the best cooking games available though! Loving it. I bought the no ads option because it is so fun.
I like the concept of this game just it seems very unfinished and barely put work into. For example all the art is AI Im not sure if the gameplay is ai but not much work put into that either. I wish they would use real art. I also wish they put more time into the game, the people that you serve have no hearts or anything so you don’t know when they will leave or not you just have to be quick as possible. I love cooking games but there is way better cooking games out there that spent time and money on their game. This game is cheap and I wouldn’t recommend downloading it. The only good thing about it is not really anything I just like cooking games so thats why I downloaded it but I will be deleting this. If you don’t mind anything i just said download it just wouldn’t recommend spending any money on it find a different better game to download!
