I’ve been playing nonstop since I downloaded this game. Spent money on it to remove the ads (there are quite a few) and it’s worth it if you’re gonna play regularly. PLEASE please consider these options! This game would be OUTSTANDING if these could be added! -Clans. It makes the game so much more fun when you have people to chat with to help pass time. Plus you could compete with other clans so it would keep people playing longer (and most likely spending more money!) -Global chat. Same reason with clan chatting. Nowadays you need chats in game. It keeps the game from getting too “stale” and repetitive. Same with real time competition. -Live competition. Being able to play against a live person in real time is so important to me (and numerous others) when playing a game. I have no problem spending money on games i thoroughly enjoy to help the devs keep the game going and make new updates. Maybe even a card recycling option…? I look forward to the future updates with this game ❤️👍 EDITED TO RESPOND TO DEVS: Thank you for reading my review! I can’t wait for the next update! Until then I’ll keep on with my daily game grind 🥰
I previously reviewed this game with a five star rating, and I’m coming back to update it. I paid to remove ads, which works, and now I’m about 3,000 levels in. The game still tries to sell you upgrades, and there’s still ads-by-choice to boost rewards (which I end up doing when gems are on the line). Overall it is a very fun experience, and you do no need to pay to win. In fact, that’s my issue. The daily arena still presents a challenge, but I almost never lose. The main game and arena both could use more strategic depth. A few levels incorporate boosters that change up the gameplay, but very few. Especially with the level cap, there’s nothing left to upgrade or change up to vary play style. Ironically, the game still wants to sell me the starter pack. Buddy, I’m way past it (and I already paid to remove ads). I’m not going to drop $15 for four levels of Hoverlord! I don’t need it to win! How about something else?? Also, please restore the dismiss button on the Island Challenge start screen. I don’t want to start the challenge if I can’t sit and knock out levels. Thanks to the devs for not abusing your players. Very happy with my purchase on this game.
The game starts out fun, but as you progress it loses its luster quickly. You get hit with an ad EVERY SINGLE LEVEL, whether it took 10 seconds to complete or 3 minutes. I don’t know if the game creator can control it or not, but they’re the worst type of ads. Unable to mute them, multiple clicks to get out of them, it’s really frustrating. I spent more time watching ads than playing the game. Once you get past level 450 the AI maintains a ridiculous advantage. A group of 100 tanks is easily defeated by their group of 30 tanks. Their bases develop units much faster than your bases will. There is no benefit is upgrading your equipment, because as soon as you do the AI will have the exact same equipment that you just upgraded to. The game becomes completely unreasonable and frustrating. When dealing with that along with the constant bombardment of ads, the game has become unenjoyable. I would not recommend this game at all, unless you want to watch ads and experience unfair play.
The main game mechanic is fun. Manage amassing resources , and send them at the right time. However, everything they did to try to add “deck building” or rpg-style grind and advance falls completely flat. The VAST majority of all the cards/units you get are completely useless. You only use the top 4, and you rarely get those, while amassing thousands of minor units that can’t be sold, or used in any meaningful way. (And no, even though you gets tons of upgrade material for them, they never come close to competing with your epic/legendary units that are barely upgraded at all.) I tried grinding for the 10 epic chests, and when I finally got there, it upgraded 3 of my 4 team cards. Great, right? Nope. The PC units apparently made the same upgrade, so it barely changed the game experience. The game a decent time-killer, but don’t waste any of your time watching ads for max rewards, as the rewards are practically useless.
The core gameplay loop is pretty fun. Unfortunately it’s overshadowed by an obnoxious advertising scheme that has you spending three or four times as much time watching the worst kind of multi-part, hide-the-cancel-button ads as actually playing. If you didn’t get enough ads already, you can watch more ads to earn in-game currency, but it’s either deceptive or bugged, as watching the ad doesn’t always earn you what it looks like you should. You can pay to get rid of ads, but on top of that the game is also loaded with expensive pay-to-win monetization designed to fleece the whales and gate-keep rewards that initially look like they can be earned in-game. I’m not against companies making money through advertising or microtransactions, but this game takes the idea to predatory and obnoxious levels. This is a shame, because for the minute or two you actually get to play, it’s pretty entertaining.
This was a fun and challenging game to play, until… they introduced new units behind a pay wall. Before you could get the higher end units through earned chests and didn’t have to pay to play. These new units are so much stronger than the highest units you could get before pay to units were introduced. I have played heavily for a long time and have topped PvP for many months because there was and still kind of is a way to win regardless of the obvious PAY TO PLAY or BOTS. Still on top of PvP currently but having these units behind the INSANE $50 pay wall is beyond disgusting. I would’ve given it 5 stars before. To top it off the responses I’ve read from the creators are half hearted and obviously just to satisfy some algorithm in Apple to keep their ratings up. Introduce the new units outside of the paywall. Put them in chests like it says they are. There are plenty of people that will pay $5 to remove ads. Get it together, you HAD a solid game.
This is a fun time killer game, unfortunate part is your game process has no ability to sync across devices. Nearly every game out there will either tie devices through Game Center, facebook, Apple ID, Google Play or similar, this has no such ability. Every device you start at 1 and have to level each. Poor design for a game if you want to have the same progress across all devices. Game play once you get to higher levels is odd. One level you will be completely crushed over and over again and have 3 other opponents to take out and have to just time it right to be able to clear. Then the next after you get one opponent and a very small area and clear it without even thinking about it. Still fun, just would be nice to be able to pick up on another device and continue where you are at on the original device.
Fun and fast-paced, but built on a greedy profit model. The “arena” and “PvP” are fake — it’s 100% single-player against AI bots including the level races. Upgrades don’t help because the AI is programmed to stay stronger. Don’t waste money; even the paid “remove ads” option still forces you to watch ads for progress. Arena play is rigged and rewards are a waste of time. You’ll never earn enough blueshift cards to upgrade enough to be useful despite winning constantly every week for a months. Fury Road is also pointless, and epic chests never drop any relics, Phoenix, Paladin, or Chimera — those are locked behind a paywall. The new level cap beyond 50 (previously 25) is absurd and unreachable without spending thousands, which is not an exaggeration. The dev’s email doesn’t work, and their review replies are fake, copy-pasted nonsense. Prove me wrong — respond to these points honestly for once.
