Tricky Castle is a delightful subversion of the standard 2D puzzle-platformer. It masquerades as a simple 'reach the exit' game, but quickly reveals itself to be a battle of wits between the player and a mischievous level designer. The game frequently breaks the fourth wall, requiring you to think outside the literal box—sometimes the solution isn't on the screen, but in the game's UI itself.
The pixel art is clean and charming, and the difficulty curve is perfectly pitched. You'll have plenty of 'Aha!' moments as you realize that a trap you've died to ten times is actually the key to the exit. Wed Mar 31 2021 Izzle SizzleThis game really gets your brain working! I was a little skeptical at first but after a while I was literally hooked! The graphics are great and the hidden stars are really fun to find! There were definitely a couple times where I was frustrated but the hints were always useful and usually all I needed was to look a little bit more carefully! Very fun game, definitely recommend!! I was reading some of the other reviews that say the lock system every 10 levels is stupid and I honestly don’t relate to that AT ALL! The lock system, while sometimes frustrating cause it’s like a cliffhanger, gets me off my phone and spreads the game out. It makes sure that I’m not just playing the game for hours on end and to be honest I kind of like it that way! But some people don’t, I guess, so if you’re not into that sort of thing just be aware. But I still highly recommend. Also for a free game the ads really aren’t that bad. You don’t have to watch the entire ad, and it is entirely worth it. I also think it would be worth it for the premium pass if your willing to pay, I wasn’t and it turned out just fine! Overall very well made game and just fun to play. I also love all the different costumesXD

Tue Dec 28 2021 KishaqueFirst of all the adds this game is unlike others because it doesn’t have a lot of adds in it so it makes it really fun and the no adds aren’t too much to pay for anyways I don’t think you would need them anyways I’m a nine year old writing this review right now and I asked my dad to try this game and he absolutely loved it. This game has great quality and if the creator see’s this I would like and enjoy a part two of this game I also think that this kind of has a story to it that it will eventually continue into a series of games that get better each time and really famous as well like different YouTubers playing. I bet if some random person tried this game they would also right a great review because I personally think that this game deserves great ratings. Also this is a fact when I was doing the levels it reminded me of Harry Potter lol! I would really like to add more costumes to the game I got all of them in a few days but I think the designs are really creative and all in all it’s a great game please download it and enjoy playing your new amazing puzzle game. 🙂

Sat Apr 23 2022 Mearmear2This game is amazing!!! I absolutely love it and it is always fun to play in your free time! It encourages people to think outside of the box, which makes us smarter! This game can be REALLY fun when you need something to do. For example, this game 100% cures my boredom ! It’s a great game for people who are good problem solvers. The only problem is that there is a lot of ads. But still— that doesn’t change the fact that I LOVE it!! Other than that, there is fun level, cute characters, and crazy fun levels. I would totally recommend downloading it. Also, when you’re stuck on a level, don’t worry. The developers made a feature where you can watch an advertisement for a hint. But believe me, the hints aren’t those clues where they don’t even help, these ones help me a lot! I think it’s a great game and this team did an outstanding job with the game. So besides the ads, don’t just stand there… download it! It really tricks your brain and lets you think outside the box! Amazing job with the graphics and ideas!! 👍

Although before I thought the game was long and hard, now this game seems shorter and easier, even though the update brought ‘The Cave’ and extended the game, I beat it in around one and a half days, which is surprising to me due to the time it took before I gave up last time. I think this game is very engaging though, I played through the whole game without stopping, and I wanted to search every place possible, which most games never made me want to do. I would like it if the game was now even longer with new different puzzles and gimmicks along the way, just to keep things refreshing and fun for the player, instead of repeating some already used things previously in the game. But anyways, very fun game! I highly recommend it to everyone, including people with developing brains to boost their outside-the-box solving and reasoning. I think people will have greater problem solving skills if they play this, so you should try it!
One of the best game I’ve ever played
Sat Jan 29 2022 Catholic girlThis is one of the best games I have ever played. Love the fact that is reminds me a bit of early version of Mario. There is a game with in a game: looking for stars and going through the witches tower to get to the final battle. I also love that there is an end. Some games are annoyingly endless but this is really nice that it ends with a sense of accomplishment. It makes me look forward to the next update. But I also like that you can reset your progress and play the whole game start to finish over again. Very very well thought out game and very creatively executed. The master mind behind the game has a great mind for puzzles and mystery. Really makes you think outside the box to solve. Yet I love the simplicity of it. Challenging to play but the controls are easy use. Very little instructions needed. Anyone could play but plenty of challenge for all. Take your time on the next update because I know it will be well worth it and it won’t disappoint.

I think the authors of this game put some real effort into this one and it shows! I would highly recommend playing this game and it seems the authors took pride in it too because you can play the whole thing for free. I beat every level and had a blast doing it. There are some difficult levels but that just makes it better. All these apps these days are stupid easy so you beat them quick and watch more adds. While this game does have adds if your not willing to shell out $2 for the whole game!!! Like less than a gallon of gas guys, it doesn’t make you watch them all the time or every time you die. Just when you move on a level or need a hint. Seriously this game is so entertaining and just all around very well done. To the developers, amazing job guys your game is great please work on making some more!!!

I understand it a bit better now so I know to try more than just what you’d expect… I absolutely love the “things are not always as they seem” edge! Sometimes the solution is SO simple that I find myself WAY overthinking it, but once I find it (or watch the ad for a hint), I’m totally amused by how clever and “outside the box” it was! I’ve definitely laughed out loud a few times lol. My 9 year old son loves sitting by me and trying to figure it out too! SO much fun, and a great way to get not only my brain gears turning, but my kid’s too! It is totally addicting, not gonna lie… I actually appreciate that there’s a wait time between sections cuz it makes me stop for a bit to actually get things done. 🤣 FANTASTIC game!! So glad it was a suggested app in an ad for a different game I play… which I rarely play anymore cuz I love this one so much!! Awesome… THANK YOU DEVS!
Tricky Castle - A True Smart Phone Game
Sat Dec 05 2020 The Red BlazerTricky Castle is one of the best smart phone games I’ve ever played. The over all execution of this game was great. The simplicity in the graphics, gameplay and general concept of the game made it easy to comprehend and learn quickly. The best benefit of the simplicity of these aspects allowed for greater potential for complexity in the puzzles. The experience of playing this game was great, while the focus of the game was truly the puzzles, there was a minor story line that never overtook the main intention of the game. I can also truly appreciate the simplicity in the mechanics of the game which gave opportunity for additions of mechanics within the ‘which tower’. The new but simple mechanics have a refreshing challenge to the game as new puzzles became possible and a new perspective became more necessary to finish each level. Over all loved the game, found it incredibly entertaining while challenging, while somehow retaining the sense it is beatable. Truly a well made game.
