Trickcal Chibi Go is a breath of fresh air in the auto-battler genre. The art style is undeniably the biggest draw—the 'squishy' chibi designs are incredibly cute and full of personality. But beneath that sugary exterior lies a surprisingly deep tactical game. The way units interact based on their position and synergies requires actual thought, especially in the later stages.
The Gacha system feels relatively fair, and the game provides plenty of opportunities for free-to-play players to earn premium currency. The animations are fluid, and the sound design perfectly complements the whimsical theme. It’s a great 'side game' that offers enough complexity to keep you engaged without demanding hours of manual grinding every day.
Unique 'squishy' chibi art style
Strategic auto-battle mechanics with card elements
Wide variety of heroes to collect and evolve
Rich lore and humorous story content
Pay attention to the 'tags' on your characters. Deploying multiple heroes of the same class or element unlocks powerful team buffs. A well-balanced team usually needs a strong frontline and a backline of damage dealers.
Before each battle, you arrange your units on a grid. Once the battle starts, it plays out automatically. Learning which units to put in the front to soak up damage is the first step to victory.
Yes, new characters are acquired through a summoning system using in-game currency.
eeee this game is seriously so hilariously cute LOL. despite the…ads… so far my experience has been very delightful! the story is silly yet intriguing, and the characters are so adorable. the gameplay is very straightforward, and the tutorial helps guide the way for those unfamiliar with this sort of gameplay! also, the gacha seems pretty forgiving for f2p, but we will see how that changes as the pre release rewards fade away. basically, if you are looking for a stress free game with loads of cuteness that will give u a lil chuckle, i recommend giving it a shot:) i am still new to the game so my review may change later on lol
It’s really not bad at all, but it is a gatcha at the end of the day. The biggest issue I have is the “grind”. Yes it’s fine to be grindy, but this game also claims “10 minutes a day”. The actual gameplay loop requires the story to be ran which each chapter gets significantly longer. How long? Chapter 13 took 33 minutes. That’s 33 minutes you can’t do ANYTHING except watching the game play itself. This gets worse considering you have to pay attention in case the auto stops. This might be the single most attention demanding gatcha I have ever played. The worst part is, that required grind quickly becomes less and less rewarding. It feels almost punishing that you put time in, but would be hollow if you don’t. It’s preying on the game being addictive, but I don’t feel it currently has anything worth getting addicted to. On the topic of gatcha, I love the overall look of the game but the actual pull animation is pretty bad. It’s not flashy and feels unfinished. The other problem being it’s not rewarding either. Star ups are rare, but required resources is very stingy. You either need a high value high rarity or low value low rarity system, this game has chosen to the worst of both with a low value high rarity system. Overall, it’s very ok. Though unless systems change VERY soon, I don’t think I will find myself logging in for “10 minutes” nor will other people.
But the English translation could use a little work, I’ve noticed a few misspellings and grammatical errors but nothing too bad. I just really want the opening cutscene to have subtitles..! But I really like how goofy the story is, it never takes itself too seriously. Which is a nice change of pace from the games I usually play. I especially like the Chow Rebels. … and I kinda love xXionx’s whole character. (I kinda wish the songs from the promotional material were in the theater feature lol)
I don’t know why I didn’t put this review before, but I actually love this game. It’s simple, cute and fun and I love all of the interactions you can make with the characters. I thought it was going to be hard and stressful like genshin impact but it’s nothing like that. It’s easy to get the characters you want and honestly, the game is so enjoyable I was obsessed with this game drawing fanart back to back. The character designs in this game is honestly so cute and I love how almost every single character has a outfit (unlike genhsn)
This game is simply incredible from the adorable character design, music hilarious writing, community music videos and animations all make me so incredibly fond of the developers and team responsible for this amazing project. The gacha rates are generous and the team compositions for each personality have some more variation with each character added. I love this game, even if the levels get very challenging near endgame. I still really enjoy it because of how much I love the characters.
I wanted to try playing the game because the art looks super cute, but after I installed & opened the game from the Appstore the game keeps saying that I have insufficient storage/memory to download the resources even though I have like 200gb of free remaining iPhone storage :( I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling again but keep getting the same error :( *UPDATE: I was finally able to play the game after deleting the game, then restarting my phone, and then reinstalling the game. Buuuut for some reason the game thinks I only have ~5gb of free space but I have over 200gb 😩
Because is In Japanese voice dub is forcing me to try out new voices and voice act by myself that is and the stories kinda cute thumps up I pre downloaded the game and when I clicked on it yesterday it said it wouldn't open until today because I kept spamming thinking didn't work until I read the notice this games cute it gave me something to do today which should be getting job but that's a bit harder
The attention to detail is astounding. When you pinch a character's face, their reaction—little grunts; changing expressions—is so lifelike. It really makes you feel connected to your cards. The card art itself updates based on your customizations, which is a fantastic touch. The developers clearly put a lot of love into this, and it shows in every aspect, from the UI to the music. A true standout.
