Tower War: Tactical Conquest is a brilliant distillation of the tower defense and real-time strategy genres. Instead of just building static defenses and watching them fire, you are constantly managing the flow of troops between nodes. This 'conquest' style of gameplay creates a much more active experience than traditional TD games. The strategy lies in knowing when to reinforce your own towers and when to launch a mass offensive to overwhelm a neutral or enemy base. The maps are cleverly designed with choke points and branching paths that force you to think several steps ahead.
The progression system is well-handled, with meaningful upgrades for your towers and units that feel necessary as the levels become increasingly complex. The visual style is clean and readable, which is essential when the screen becomes filled with dozens of units moving simultaneously. It’s a deep tactical game that manages to remain accessible thanks to its intuitive drag-and-drop controls. Whether you’re playing through the extensive single-player campaign or testing your mettle in PvP, it’s a rewarding experience for any strategy fan.

Love playing this game, it’s a lot of fun I’ve had it for like 2 or the years now. The only thing I don’t like is that there is an ad after every single attempt at a level. I get it that’s how you make money but it’s just not great for the player experience. I usually play a round and then just close the game right after I win so I don’t get bombarded by the ad. Another thing is. There are some levels that are impossible, and I do mean impossible, if you don’t watch an ad for one of the 3x speed guys. Or the other is by spending lots of money on a leveled up character. Cause I’ve been playing this long and still haven’t unlocked anything stronger than my basic character. And it is a lot of money, they’ll come up with a “deal” sometimes and it’d be like an “epic” character for only 50-70$! I’m just confused. Wish that all my time in the game got me something but at the same time I don’t want it to end up being a cash grab update. So it’s fine how it is, I’m on like level 480 or something. The gems that you get are very valuable as I’ve only probably gotten like 100 if that. But I’ve been saving to open there top chest maybe in just another 3-4 years.
I really enjoy playing this game, great for idle hands and minor attention. However, the “PvP” and “arena” become obvious you are playing against boys and not real people. Which honestly takes some of the joy away. Alongside that, it is completely pay to win, sure you can earn gems and stuff. But the tokens required to level your troops beyond lvl 15 are only purchasable via real $. I’ve been playing for a week and I completed every part of the “weekly quest” line with the promise of a yellow tank (2nd best as far as rarity) only to find on the 7th day you are gated with an in game purchase to complete. I wish these games would just let you play for 3 hrs then give the option to buy outright and not have any micro transactions or at least playable at high level without micro transactions. There is a stupid number of ads they force you too. “Watch an ad to spin again”, nah click “no thanks” boom ad. Ads after every match, every game. It’s ridiculous. I was going to purchase the no ads for $5 thinking i could have a more enjoyable experience but after seeing all the p2w parts and realizing the only way to play at high level will require to spend lots of money has me about ready to delete this game. I enjoy the game which is why it got 3*, I would give it 4* if the ads wernt so bad, and 5 if it wasn’t so blatantly p2w. My advice if your looking to download this game, don’t buy anything at all til you’ve played at least a week to see how bad the p2w is, then decide if you want to start dropping $
I’ve been playing this a WHILE. I had a bug a couple months in to where I couldn’t load the app and it’d just keep crashing so I deleted and re-installed. Haven’t had issues since. But this game is one MILLION percent pay-to-win. There is an element of strategy, but even after making a few micro-transactions like I got VIP (which is a weekly subscription for some reason?) and paid for no ads, they are STILL bombarding me with all of these cool rewards which really don’t incentivize me to play, but rather make me feel like a player at the bottom of the totem pole. They just released a tank called Napalm which is allegedly $350 on sale for $100. Really?!? Crummy advertising, in my opinion. On top of that, for PVP battles, the LOWEST battle points on the roster is 29k. Twenty nine THOUSAND. Ive been playing virtually nonstop for MONTHS to get the “get 1st place in any league” award and I’m only at 3k - nowhere close! It’s frustrating. It doesn’t give me that sense of satisfaction, only the frustration that comes with more to do. Like every time I feel like I’ve hit a goal, there’s an even higher one to reach. Plus, no events are original. The levels repeat after a while. I even had a couple levels in the 200s give me a tutorial. Like what? As if I don’t know how to play the game? I LOVE the concept of the game. But with the repeating levels and constant “Buy this $350 item on sale for $100!” in my face is irritating. Even large corporations like Blizzard or Epic don’t do this. Do better, devs.
I love playing this game I can play for hours on end but unfortunately they have ads. I’m okay with ads idc about them honestly but when it happens in the middle of a “campaign” or mission whatever you wanna call it it’s annoying I can understand afterwords but in the middle like come on especially in their new PvP you still get ads in the middle of playing against people can you see how poorly that goes? As for the freezing and overheating of my phone also annoying but the freezing of the game doesn’t happen often for me anyway it’s more or less playing this game for hours starts to slow my phone down even after closing the game idk if it’s because of overheating or what but a little frustrating. Regardless I love the game it’s simple and keeps me occupied for when I’m bored and it’s super easy best tower defense game out there that’s this simple but satisfying for my needs. Edit: best way to play and the only reason imma give it 4 stars instead of 3 is because when you turn WiFi and data off obviously no ads but also there’s no way to get better soldiers and tanks this way. I just did 200 levels or more just today with just the basic stuff still fun to play.
Normally I don’t write reviews. I think this is my first one actually. This is a great game, and they know this. In which case they BOMBARD you with ads. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game THIS bad with advertisements. I was getting upset when certain games had ads after every level, but my goodness this is terrible. Literally 70% of your total playtime on this game is ads. There’s an ad before every level, and if you take too long during a level, there’s up to 3 ads, then when you finish the level guess what? Yup. Another ad. I would give this game a 0 just because of how bad the ads are. I don’t even want to play it after 5 minutes because I get atleast 5 ads within that time. I tried timing it to see how much actual in game time you get before an ad, but I’ve seen no consistency. Some every 30 seconds, some every minute, and at the maximum was 2 full minutes without an ad. (Not counting the before and after ads) Outstanding. I have no idea how this game has 4+ stars with the amount of advertisements this game has. They want you to pay for their game soooo badly. I’m sure 90% of people got sick of it and just bought the game, then gave it a good review. If you want to waste your time watching ads, go ahead and download this game. I have nothing good to say other than it’s a great place to find a new game. Sickening.
Prior to the latest update (shortly before Thanksgiving 2021) I would have given this game 4 out of 5 stars. It’s fun and some levels are challenging, but there haven’t been any new levels added in forever. But now I give it 2 stars, because the number of ads has pretty much tripled and the daily challenges have been removed. I used to get one ad during gameplay and one ad between levels, but now I get as many as 3 ads during gameplay and still get the one between levels. For some of the easier levels, you spend more time watching ads than completing the level. Unacceptable. Since this game could be really fun, I’m holding off on deleting it hoping the developers will come out with a new update with some decent improvements. But if that doesn’t happen, it’ll definitely get deleted. JAN 2022 UPDATE: I lowered my rating to one star. This game has way too many ads. It’s no longer fun at all, and the developers don’t seem to care. Deleted. JAN 9, 2022 UPDATE: I received a response from the developer saying they reduced the number of ads and asking me to give them another try. I re-downloaded the game, and so far I am happy. I increased my rating to 4 stars, since it remains to be seen whether daily challenges or new levels have also been added. It’s glad to see the developers appear to be listening.
The one thing I like about this game is that the gameplay is exactly like the ads. However, once you play the game for a while, it’s very frustrating. The game caps your ability to progress unless you buy their ridiculously overpriced upgrades. $50 for a pretend tank?? Are you kidding me? It’s really hard to upgrade your little army after a while because it’s so hard to get what you need to actually upgrade them, but I understand that it’s a tactic to get customers to buy more packages and upgrades. The other thing that’s incredibly frustrating about this game is the PvP games. It’s so obvious that you’re still playing against the computer. You can hop to another app and back and the gameplay resumes, and you’re the only one who can use the bomb drops, so clearly there are not other people on the other end. The upgrade annoyance comes back into play with PvP mode because apparently every other person who plays this game has shelled out $150 to upgrade everything so there’s no way to beat them, especially when the artillery units are involved. It’s just so frustrating because this should be more of a puzzle and tactic game but it becomes more about how much money you’re willing to pay this stupid company. This is a fun time waster but I’ve gotten to the point where I might be done with it. It’s not fun anymore because it’s so hard to win the battles with strategy instead of paying to win. Even when I initially have the upper hand, my tanks are getting outcompeted by soldiers, and it’s so clearly stacked against me that I think I’m over this game.
It is too difficult to get upgrade chips. I have thousands in gold, lots of gems, but cannot use them to buy chips. Terribe. Extremely addictive and fun game. BUT: it is built on a mountain of lies, deceit, and treacherous game structuring. As to the former two, in the PVP battles (the best part) you don’t play against real players (how else could PVP work in Airplane Mode?). I question if the Arena battles even use real players’ stats too, as that also works in Airplane Mode as well. Further: 一 the upgrade chips for troops are too difficult to procure, especially for blue and purple troops. No levels that I’ve seen have offered them as reward. You myst buy them with arena battle tokens, and they’re too expensive. I have 3 units stuck - looks like it will take 1 month to upgrade just 1. Guess they want you to spend $20 for a booster pack or watch $20 worth of ads over the month. 二 you should have a small gem/coin store to buy useful items, e.g. equipment, upgrade tokens, boosters, etc. that refreshes each day. Note the one in Archero. 三 Why do challenges refresh and have a cool off period? It’s obnoxious to not be able to play the challenges on certain days. Also, I find myself playing some of the same challenges again after the refresh. 四 The PVP opponent attack levels often are far lower than mine, and this makes it very easy. Rebalancing it would be great.
