Great Game With Minor Flaws
Thu Mar 16 2023 oyasumijdd

I don’t usually bother writing reviews, but I was surprised how much enjoyment I got out of this game. It is a gacha game (to a certain extent), but a very rewarding one. Good drop rates and you’re almost always guaranteed an Epic Character as long as you do a 10x summon. If you’ve ever played an other gacha game, you would know that the creators are being VERY generous about their character rates. Even when you get characters you don’t want, you can still transfer them to the front gate and get more supplies to level up your other ones. The game also resets everyday, so even when you’re low on supplies you can still get more if you wait a bit (along with the auto farming mechanic). My only main complaint is that it’s sometimes borderline impossible to get more supplies to level up your characters at certain points so you’re basically forced to wait until the daily quests and supply run are back to really get any. The constant ads placed in are also a bit tedious, but I can’t really complain because they’re usually short and give you supplies in return for them. Overall, a very great game. I now at least play it an hour a day because it’s so fun to turn my brain off and just listen to something in the background while I do stuff in it. I never expected to enjoy it so much, but now it’s about the only mobile game I play.

Amazing but has a few minor flaws

This is one of my favorite mobile games I play it almost everyday but one of my biggest problems is I feel like when something like a character cost actual money it is overpriced I think it should be cheaper to buy things with money because most people don’t have hundreds of dollars they can spend on a mobile game I get that the devs have to get money some how but simply aren’t going to pay that much compared to a bunch of people paying a smaller price and the devs probably getting more money Also I wish the devs would send out more coupons it seems like there’s been a lot less than before when I first started having the coupons usually kept me and other people active in the game and it always helped a lot Even though it does have some things you have to pay for it never really impacts the game to much to where it’s pay to win I haven’t spent a penny and haven’t had the game become pay to win

Requires dedication

TWD is prob my fav series out there, so when I heard it had a few mobile games for it, I decided to download some, and boy did they not live up to the hype. This game tho, was NOT at all what I had expected. After playing the Micro-transaction packed TWD: Survival, I found about this game from it’s character art, and decided to download it. The opening is fire, and I’ve watched a few times now, and the gameplay is pretty solid. Get a few units from summons, level up the units, use the units to clear stages, and do some events along the way. Except, there reaches a point where the game begins to become painful to play. One of the features of the game is locked behind a 16 stage level requirement, and at stage 6 things start getting hard. I myself have only gotten up to stage 9, and already my units get shredded by the AI. Ofc, u could just UPGRADE the units, get them stronger so that u can face off against tougher enemies, but even that is difficult, as leveling them up past Level 100 requires 2 copies of that unit! Idk how they expect me to level up a character past 100 and somehow clear a stage containing multiple level 145 units!! It feels like it’s trying to force the micro transactions out of me, and I refuse to budge. The only way to enjoy this game is to get lucky. Hope u pull 2 of the same unit, which all have the same pull chance, and level up that unit with Event rewards. Also, if u don’t have Abraham, ur as good as dead.

Good until you hit the wall

Pretty fun game overall. You can get a lot of really fun hours out of this until you eventually hit "The Wall". There are several points you'll eventually hit where you simply cannot make any more meaningful progress in the main game without waiting several days at a time for daily rewards and events to get just a little bit stronger and make a tiny bit more progress. I have spent a total of 11 dollars on this game and that has gotten me a fair bit further than a true F2P player would have made it in the same amount of time. However now I am at another wall where I just cannot beat the current level I am on without upgrading my characters SIGNIFICANTLY and to do that would take me days if not weeks to wait 24 hours to log in for 20 mins to collect my rewards and do a couple daily missions, OR I could just throw a 20$ at the problem and it would go away. All in all if you're the type of person that spends hundreds of dollars on mobile games then this is pretty good, but if you are strictly f2p or only willing to spend a couple bucks here and there I'd say skip over it or play until you hit a wall then move on.

amazing game, takes times to get through some stages

game has been very fun from start, every once in a while i’ll go a day without playing, but then i’m right back to playing everyday throughout the day. grinding the game is fun and it gives you few things to do and grind other then the normal story levels you go through, and interesting things like fusing duplicate characters to get higher rarities and better quality’s, seperate mode that gives you special gear. one problem that probably will drive people away is sometimes you get to a point where you can’t get any higher of a level in any possible way on any character, can’t buy anything to make anyone better, can’t promote, nothing at all, waiting for daily rewards and auto search to finally give you enough supplies to get better characters and items. playing the way i do you can usually get through that point in less then a day. but everything aside this game is amazing. 100% recommend

Used to be a nice game

This was a game that you didn’t have to spend money on. It would take longer to get further along, as with any game. It wasn’t a pay to continue game. They did and still give a lot of resources. The thing is now there is so much bloatware that the game crashes regularly. This is no longer a simple fun idle game. The game has some very broken mechanics, like the character cap. They give you so many junk low level characters, that if they get advanced count against the ridiculously low cap. I have been playing almost since day one and I am at a point that if I don’t spend $400!!!!!! More dollars I can’t get more characters. I like games that let me feel like I don’t have to spend money. I’d rather put that kind of money into gamepass. If they don’t revamp the character system I am pretty sure I will be joining all the others that have quit playing at the stage I am because of the paywall. It was fun till this point.

Option to control any character in survival record modes (been asking for over a year)

Spent a lot of money on this game and for one that promotes itself as an rpg it’s missing the biggest aspect of that, customization. The Game is great but what ruins the rpg and immersion, great deal of replay value is the inability to select your avatar in segments where you’re roaming. These are arguably the best segments of this game that make it stand out from the other walking dead games. Picking your avatar does not break immersion because you can have custom teams anyway, the replay value is severely diminished and personally I refuse to play them until I can choose my avatar. The game has so much beautiful art work, the character animations for movement are already rendered all that is missing is the option to swap. Please make it happen!!

I love it but..

It was an amazing game honestly but you get to a point where you can’t level your characters up anymore because it’s impossible to promote them unless you pay cash to buy gold and get them that way. I just wish there was an easier way to receive epic characters in the game without special events. Like maybe a system where you can quick search old story missions and receive character pieces that way. I don’t know it’s an amazing game I just feel like there’s nothing I can do with it anymore.
