- Fixed redacted text not being redacted on some devices
- Fix “Click 1, 2, 3, 4” achievement not unlocking
- Various UI improvements
The Operator is an absolute triumph in narrative puzzle design. Sitting at a virtual computer desk, digging through databases, and helping field agents unravel complex mysteries makes you feel like a genuine intelligence operative.
The atmosphere is thick with tension, and the attention to detail in the terminal interface is top-notch. If you love detective stories, hacking thrillers, or games that require genuine deduction and brainpower, this is an absolute must-play.
Immersive terminal-based investigation gameplay
Engaging narrative with branching story consequences
Realistic database searching and evidence analysis tools
Professional voice acting and cinematic audio design
Access your secure workstation, review incoming case files from field agents, and begin cross-referencing suspect names in the database.
Analyze security camera footage, decrypt audio logs, and guide agents through dangerous crime scenes in real time to prevent catastrophes.
Not at all. While the interface mimics a terminal, puzzles rely on logic, deduction, and reading evidence rather than actual coding.
Something about this game was just calling my name as I scrolled by, and I’m so glad I stopped to download. This is a REALLY well-done game that I so rarely see on the App Store, quality-wise. I wasn’t surprised AT ALL to see this game is listed in its own right in Steam- and with a 9/10 rating. If you have by chance played the game “Papers, Please” on iOS, you’ll find this game to scratch the same itch but it does it with a significantly more enthralling story and more engaging gameplay. The story line has me hooked and the gameplay allows me to actually think and experiment without having my hand held. As soon as I press submit on this review, I’m going to buy the full version of the game.
Not even gonna lie to you, the game is not only interesting but the story is deep too, one of the most wanted fdi criminals helps you in a case to notice the things you didn’t notice. I don’t have the entire game but the fact it let me off on that cliffhanger alone makes you want to know more. Why is Hal helping you? Who is the redacted name? It leaves you with so many questions. And it’s a game that requires high observation skills. Or maybe I’m just dumb, who knows. Point is, this game is pretty good from the trailer atleast. And I don’t usually write reviews, but I just had to cancel out that one star review. The game is seriously amazing and well made. Will probably buy the full game.
I would say it’s pretty entertaining and adequately short length which is appropriate for iOS devices, after finding out there’s Steam version. Tbf it reminds me of playing Replica on iphone a decade ago and how 2010s and social media discussions bygone were, and this game took rather a refreshing angle on something more classic (90s, conspiracies, Spielberg etc.) im not regretting purchasing the full game content as a puzzle game enjoyer! kudos to the developers :)
I LOVE intelligent puzzle games, and have played most of them available in the app store. Excited to find this one, which is so well-written and immersive I actually feel like part of the story. Highly recommend, especially if you’re an avid X-Files fan. I appreciate the nods to the show in this game. 😎🛸 Trust no one!
Great game with amazing gameplay and a really cool story, however could be improved. - There were so many unique dialogue options that I went back to replay it to see what choosing different paths would do, but nothing changed. I wish that there were multiple possible endings to encourage more deep exploration into the story. - I wish that the interim blurry transition scenes could be skipped on play-throughs after the first because they take up time and don’t add much once you have played through once, since they don’t change and don’t add anything. Other than that I was super invested and thought the gameplay was smooth and the puzzles were very cool. Hopefully a multiple update ending comes out.
I play the full version on Steam for PC - love it! This mobile version is perfect, the controls are self-explanatory, I haven’t experienced any bugs, and it’s extremely entertaining. I highly recommend it - as I’m not familiar with another game quite like it. I will be purchasing the full version.
Refreshing game concept in an App Store filled with idle tapping games. Playing the trial version and fully intend to purchase
The game was great. The story was great, I just was expecting it to last longer than a hour of playtime. And I feel like there wasn’t enough time to do a lot of other side things. I really hope you continue on with this because it’s the best game I’ve played on here yet. Can’t wait to see more from you
