Our Expert Score

80/100

Sushi Roll: Bite-Sized Puzzles delivers exactly what its title promises: accessible, deliciously designed logic puzzles wrapped in a cute aesthetic. It takes simple grid-movement mechanics and spices them up with clever sushi-rolling twists that keep you engaged for long stretches.

The tactile feedback is where the game really shines. Swiping across the screen to fold nori over rice feels remarkably satisfying, accompanied by cheerful sound effects and smooth animations. The difficulty curve is well-tuned, introducing new mechanics like slicers and multi-layered rolls right when the previous ideas start to feel routine.

It won't melt your brain with extreme complexity, but as a cozy, charming game to play on your daily commute, Sushi Roll hits the sweet spot. It's clean, fun, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Cute clever game

I only played the free first 35 levels so far but id consider getting the full game based on that, in future Besides the great play on words(sushi roll)the charming visuals, underneath is a pretty clever and challenging puzzle game that utilizes different mechanics from different but similar kinds of puzzle games, and blends them seamlessly. Getting 3 stars(which requires solving the puzzle in the minimum amount of moves) can actually be quite challenging, whereas for someone wanting a more relaxing game shouldn’t have to much trouble solving the puzzles in general. My only gripes are pretty minor. The music can get a bit grating with the cycle of “hi”, a bit too noticeable imo, but my son enjoyed it while watching me (saying his own little hi along with the music, which may be what made it more grating to begin with). And the avocado when it actually gets entered as a filling, looks weird. Its just not an appealing color. Why not use the same vivid bright green you used for the avocado design before you “collect it”? When i see avocado sushi(and i double checked google images before commenting even tho ive been eating avocado sushi rolls, usually with tuna or salmon, my whole life)the avocado looks bright green! Not brownish! Id really appreciate a fix on that. A big appeal is how yummy the sushi looks in the game and unfortunately that doesn’t apply to the avocado.

Great Game

A really fun game with no annoying ads, a conscientious developer, definitely worth recommending, hope they release more games.

Good Game with Bug

I like the game but the page where the developer introduces himself and asks for donations is scaled way too large for the screen, (which is odd since the rest of the game is scaled perfectly). I can’t even read the text or exit that page. I have to quit the game every time just to escape that page. I’ve got an iPhone SE running iOS 26.6.

Please fix this

Immediately when the game starts Paddy says “Hi I’m paddy whats you name” so I type my name in. But Paddy’s speech bubble won’t get out of the way so I can press the arrow button…? I haven’t even gotten to get to try the game yet and I’m already being let down

Couldn’t reach the network

Nothing wrong on my side. Why not at least give the name of the server you can’t reach? Absent that, I’m going to assume you’re trying to do something shady with my personal data.

Can’t access

I bought the game and now it won’t let me access the next levels I already started. It’s telling me to restore my purchase but it won’t work.
