The real review - by 13 yo 🧩🔩🪵

Ok, I know, this game is some cheap knockoff of the classic wooden puzzle game, but some of these review go a little too harsh. I downloaded this app from an ad in another game because of the interactive ad (it only let me do it for 50% of the puzzle) . Ok, so usually, when I download these apps the games are really easy, and they don’t even get harder after a long time. This game starts out actually pretty challenging, and I feel like that’s why people dislike it that much. I like it because of the challenge. Some bad things in it are the fact the ads are up to a minute long, and the timer (yes, you have to finish the puzzle in 3 minutes) and even while watching an ad, the timer STILL TICS DOWN. You have 10 lives before you have to wait for more. TLDR: App starts out difficult, many lives, but ads are way to long.

False Advertising - WAY too many ads

This game is actually fun - when you get to play it. A two minute level requires you to watch anywhere from 2-8 MINUTES of ads. Ridiculous. And those 5 star reviews in here are clearly written by the company. If you are lucky, one level in every ten can be completed without any boosts. But most require multiple boosts. And every single boost requires to watch an ad. The ad is usually 45 seconds long, then you can X it out. Except it doesn’t go away, it goes into another page of the same ad. That one lasts usually 15 seconds. When you X that one out it brings up the App Store pop up. Then you X that one out and finally get back to your level. And then when you do complete your level you have to watch another ad sequence like I just described to move on to the next puzzle. WAY TOO MANY ADS AND THEY ARE WAY TOO LONG! And the $7.99 ad free version doesn’t actually remove any ads. Scam. But like I said, the levels themselves are fun when you aren’t watching other fake ads for solitaire and royal match games with horrible actors. lol

Ads? More ad time than playing time.

Don’t let fake “HONESTLY” review fool you by saying this app doesn’t have ads. This app is FILLED with ads. Between every level there an ad, if you touch a blue circle there’s another ad during the game. None of them are less than a minute or so. Since many early levels might give you about two minutes to complete it, but actually takes 30 seconds or less, you’re wasting most of your time watching ads for other apps. After downloading and playing the very first level with one screw, I eve received a pop up saying I had the old app and need to download the new version, which, by the way, seems to be made by another developer. I had to shut down the app and start over to get rid of it. While the actual gameplay may be somewhat interesting, it’s made to be difficult for pre-teens or younger. At least the early levels. I played for about 30 minutes until deleting it due to the barrage of ads, which was claimed in other reviews to not exist.

Cheap grab for ad revenue

The entire purpose of this game is to force users to watch ads. Even after purchasing the upgraded version of the app to remove ads, there are intentional issues built in specifically to force users to watch ads to get help items, like an extra screen hole. Phase 1 of level 245 is literally impossible to beat without watching an ad to unlock a help item. I tried every possible combination of screws and it is unsolvable unless you watch an ad or spend money to get help items. That is shady. There is also a bug where you cannot return to the Home Screen if you run out of lives. The thing that annoys me most though is that you HAVE to solve the phase 1 puzzle to retry phase 2 unless you use help items. I find that incredibly annoying and a waste of time to keep solving the same part over and over. I downloaded a different app instead.

I wasted $8 on this game. I hope you don’t!!

I paid for the ad free version of this game and, still have a TON of ads!! Apparently it took away banner ads- which never bother me. If you want to use any of the helps—hammer, drill, undo, etc you are still forced, for each item, to watch a 45 second to 1 minute long ad that you have to click through several times before getting back to the game. You can use the blue screws and the gold screws earned VERY slowly instead of ads. You earn about 20 gold screws per level but EACH help costs 199 screws. It is set up to make you spend real money to buy screws or to watch ads. Many games are, but with this one, you really can’t play the game unless you choose to watch ads, and if you don’t watch ads, you really have to spend cash to play. Please don’t waste your time or your money on this game.

An ad generator

This is literally just an ad generator. Do not get this app unless your favorite hobby is watching adds. I’ve never played a more frustrating or ad pushing game. There is no strategy, this is not about puzzles it’s about ads. The mechanics are terrible and often purposefully cause you to fail because they want you to watch an ad. Except there is no failing, you don’t fail because you watch an ad and magically succeed. I’ve played 100 levels and deciding to delete this app has brought me more joy than ever playing it did. Never once have I enjoyed completing a level. All it does is frustrate. There is no level scaling. It’s not about skill at all. If make a mistake you watch an ad if you succeed you watch an ad, its all ads all the time. The levels are terrible and their bomb and key mechanics are so stupid. Honestly the most frustrating game I have ever played.

Deleted game, listen to the negative reviews

The game itself is not that bad. However, the ads are the worst. They glitch (ad stops playing but timer keeps going) locking you into the ad and the only way out is to swipe out losing your progress and a life. The ads also when they completely finish and you x out of it, start the ad all over again. The ads are also the longest ads of any game I ‘ve ever played, one lasts over 2 minutes. You spend more time watching ads then playing the game. You have to watch a ad before and after a game then after nearly every move while playing the game. And these are only a few of the glitches. There has been complaints before and no changes have been made so clearly the developer has no intention of fixing the issues. Should of listened to the negative reviews.

So much potential!

This was the 3rd or 4th puzzle of its kind that i have downloaded. It was a breath of fresh air for the first 50 or so levels because it doesn’t fire me ads on you after each level. But eventually, it became impossibly difficult to pass a level without needing to use power-ups. To do so, you either need to purchase them or watch an ad - shocker, I know. I found myself spending more time watch ads than actually playing the game. I had enough when I get to level 117 and deleted the app. And don’t bother paying for “no forced ads”…. that’s smoke in mirrors as this game doesn’t force you to watch them between levels like most games do. That option is just a tactic for more money. You will still have to watch ads for bonuses and power-ups.
