Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle reimagines classic falling-block mechanics by introducing fluid particle physics. Instead of rigid geometric blocks locking into fixed grids, incoming blocks dissolve into grains of flowing sand upon landing. Matching a continuous band of identical color from the left wall to the right wall clears the sand and triggers cascading chain reactions. The result is a hypnotic, highly strategic puzzle experience where sand settles dynamically into crevices, opening up unique tactical moves.

Our Expert Score

89/100

Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle takes the familiar thrill of Tetris and turns it on its head with fantastic granular physics. Watching rigid block shapes collapse into smooth, flowing sand upon landing is visually hypnotizing.

It requires a completely fresh puzzle mindset—thinking in terms of sand flow rather than static grid squares. Highly addictive, visually stunning, and endlessly replayable.

Q&A

Instead of straight line blocks, you must connect a continuous path of the same colored sand from the far left side to the far right side.

I played the ad for the game which seemed fun so I downloaded the app. I really like this game much more than I expected to. I will admit at first it was iffy because of how simple the first few puzzles were. But I was giving it a honest shot so I kept playing and began to notice that the puzzles were gradually getting harder with each one solved. This game does not disappoint! It’s keeping my adhd mind interested and excited to see what the next puzzle will be. That in itself is HUGE and says a lot about this game! Not only is it interesting, it’s oddly satisfying as well!! Download it guys it’s only getting better & better!

Impossible level

I genuinely love this game. It makes you think! And I haven’t seen repeating levels and I’m on level 200. However, level 200 is the reason I’m not giving 5 stars. I am stuck on this level and I have been for days. I tried reaching out to support for some hints or tips but have heard nothing from them. It’s hard to keep wanting to play the game when you’re stuck in the same spot for days on end. There’s not a lot of ads but I’ve voluntarily watched them to get extra lives because I really do enjoy the game. But it looks like I’ll have to leave because I really don’t want to keep losing the same level over and over and over again. And with zero response from the devs, that’s not promising either. Please offer some kind of help. I really don’t want to give it up. Edit- I finally beat Evelyn 200. Onward and upward! No help from the devs so I’ve learned I’m on my own. I will continue to play until I can’t anymore I guess. It really is a good game. Added one star because I get to keep playing. Would love to give 5 stars but with zero response from the devs, I can’t.

Starting to Hate This Game

I don’t expect a game to be free because developers take time to build it and businesses have to make money, but this game forces you to constantly spend major money if you want to move forward in the game. As others have mentioned, the timers aren’t long enough for some levels so you have rely on the extra features which cost if you don’t have them. The main issue I have with this game is I’ve spent $9.99 multiple times for 6000 coins and a measly one hour unlimited life timer. The 6000 coins go fast as for instance, the UFOs cost 1400 points. What is causing me to uninstall the game as it cheated me out of coins. The timer was running out so I bought more coins to freeze the time. On the last second I ordered a timer, which took some of my coins, yet the game did not freeze the timer so the level ended & those coins were basically “stolen”. Oh yeah, the timer freeze feature is useless anyway because it only freeze it for 10 seconds. Believe the other reviews, saying the same things. I just found myself being upset by playing it. I just deleted the app. Fun at first but won’t be back! Hopefully another less money hungry developer will make a similar game.

Uninstalled after 144 levels

This game is super addicting. I was up until 3 am playing it the day I downloaded it. I uninstalled it because I should not have to spend all the stamina trying to beat one level and then resort to looking up a guide just to beat it. The support page claims that every level can be beaten without boosts and that is true, but there either isn’t enough time to beat the level or there is one specific series of moves that need to be performed in order to beat the level within the time limit. I was so addicted to the game that on level 145 after using several boosts and still not being able to beat the level, I was on the verge of throwing my phone through my window. At that point it was time to uninstall. Plus the pattern for levels was easy-easy-hard-hard-super hard-hard-repeat

Fun game but

It’s a fun game, and I really enjoy playing it! However, I would love to see an option for more relaxed, gaming experience, such as a way to remove the timer. This could be offered as a paid feature unlocked by watching an ad before starting the puzzle. Sometimes, the time limit feels unreasonable, and constantly running out of time to make the game frustrating and less enjoyable. I understand that some players enjoy the challenge of racing against the clock, but personally, I love the option to play on my own pace without the added pressure. I really like the game and how it works overall. I just wish there’s a way to enjoy the puzzles without feeling rushed. I think having a no timer option would make the game more enjoyable for players like me.

Timer too punishing, and potential ai usage.

A wonderful merge of the block puzzle games, and the sand collecting games. I had a lot of fun with it! Until, of course, I reached around level 70. Suddenly, you had to know the exact movements to beat the level in order to do so in time. It made the game a repetitive, frustrating slog. And then they added these new creatures, which I fear to be AI due to the art style and inconsistencies between each rendition of them. Add it with the life system, and it became entirely unplayable and unrelaxing. It has a few ads, but those are spaced out and not too bad, so they don’t impact my score much positively or negatively. It’s a fun game, but perhaps quit around level 60 if you don’t want to suffer.

Restrictive App Needs Improvements

Main gripes: No level select, time too restrictive, no relax mode (no timer), adding time (20 sec) costs too many coins, whether you select “next game” or “watch ad for double coins” you watch an ad, you get too few coins per match even with ad doubles. More context: To add 20+ secs to the clock, which is 900 coins, you’d either need to win 23 games or 12 games with ads, and you’ll still likely lose. Should be cheaper. The time is already too restrictive, especially with the animations adding to the wait for moves. It should be a 3 star ranking system with level select, with the fastest times getting 3 stars, and slow times getting 1 star with a speedrun/leaderboard mechanic. Would be way more fun, even if pay to play users would be at the top.

FIX IT!

There are plenty of others feeling the same sentiment. Those timer countdowns are asinine and ridiculously short. Started off fun, but around level 70-ish it really picked up the amount of “hard” and “super hard” levels and started making it unbearable to play. Impossible, even. Between only 5 lives at a time that refill crazy slow, and those STUPID timer countdowns that don’t leave you any time on MOST of the levels, the game becomes redundant and unbearable. You either spend large amounts of money, for those extra, or spend days trying to get through one level, before running into another very, very, VERY short countdown timer, and repeating the process. That’s not including those insane ads after EVERY level! Get rid of that stupid countdown clock!!!!
