Minor bug fixes.
Samorost 2 is a masterpiece of atmosphere and surrealist art. Amanita Design has a knack for creating worlds that feel both alien and strangely organic, and this sequel to the original browser game is no exception. The story of a space gnome rescuing his kidnapped dog is simple, but the journey through these beautifully rendered, moss-covered landscapes is unforgettable.
The puzzles are environmental and rely on your ability to observe and interact with the world's bizarre logic. Combined with the soothing, whimsical soundtrack by Tomáš Dvořák, the game creates a sense of wonder that few other point-and-click adventures can match. It’s a short experience, but every screen is packed with so much detail and character that it feels like exploring a living painting.
Unique hand-crafted art style
Atmospheric soundtrack by Floex
Charming and wordless storytelling
Optimized for touch-screen play
Tap on objects in the environment to see how they react. Some items will trigger animations, while others are essential parts of puzzles needed to clear the way forward.
Puzzles are integrated into the scenery. You might need to feed a creature or activate a machine by observing the visual clues hidden within the lush, hand-drawn levels.
Yes, it is a non-violent, imaginative adventure suitable for all ages.
Yes, this is a pretty short game. BUT the level of creativity and charm that goes into their games. People complain when they spend a few dollars on a game - but it’s nothing! Think about the number of hours that go into making something like this. Machinarium, Botanicula, and Samarost 3 are some of the best and most delightful games I’ve ever played. And they make me smile! How many games can do that? We live in such a jaded world. It’s lovely to see this kind of ingenuity and ingenuousness. I’m ok spending a few dollars to live in Amanita’s playful imagination even briefly.
The first one was too short. The third one was too long. But just like in Goldilocks and the three bears, this one was just right. I was totally surprised when I got to the third part of the game. I thought that since I had rescued the dog, that was the end of the game. But no. Your fuel gets low and you crash into some other planet and boom! Four extra levels. I bet whoever plays this game will want to try some of amanita’s other games. Like botanicula, chuchel and mechanarium.
Totally LOVE the Samorost games, and I have had them on several of my iPhones, but I’ve not had them on this one. So I went to the App Store to see if I could still get them and I saw that I could still download them from iCloud. But when I went to get Samorost 2 and redownload it, it wanted to charge me again. Same with Samorost 3, wanted to charge me again. Why is that? It did let me redownload 1 without any problem. Just curious, please answer!
I love the Amanita games because they are charming, intelligent and just plain fun. Games like Samorost and Botanicula have a non-gruesome and fanciful appeal to both kid/ parent teams and seniors just looking for some humorous brain stimulation. It seems that 98% of escape puzzle games are aimed at adolescent males, offering up either violent action or demonic forces. I am NOT an adolescent or arrested development male, but I DO have both dollars and time to spend, and can’t wait for the next idea spinning out of Amanita. What IS next, team?
I really enjoyed this game. The art, the sweet storyline, and characters are amazing. Great job ! Those complaining, should be ashamed, if you want longer version pay and play all the chapters. Won’t cost you more than buying a $6.99 boring point and click game or the purchases you make on “free 2 play” for obtaining coins or hints… 😂..
The low rating of this game is totally undeserved and utterly unfair. It’s short, fine, but priced at 1$ is definitely a steal. If you then add that it has wonderful graphics, funny characters, humorous storyline and challenging tasks to accomplish, you can’t give it less than five stars. Kudos to the developers for the hard work and the excellent result!
Hundred stars for a fresh and much needed maturing of what games could be. Not sure if it's a new ios bug bit Sam2 is stuck at the second screen. He can't move out of the hut. Update, it's Not a bug. LoL just my deficient skills. I love these folks! The change from 2 to 3 is a delight. Great work!
Yes, the game is short, but the rest is on par with their other releases in terms of creativity, difficulty and game play. If you’re a fan of Sam3 or Machinarium, you’ll love this game. It’s certainly worth 99 cents.
