Bringing Red Dead Redemption to mobile is an absolute technical marvel. This isn't a stripped-down version; it's the full, sprawling epic of John Marston's journey at the end of the American West. Rockstar has done an incredible job with the touch controls—while I still prefer a controller, the gesture-based 'Quick Draw' system makes those high-stakes duels feel remarkably natural on glass.
The world feels just as alive as it did on consoles. From the dusty plains of New Austin to the bustling streets of Blackwater, the atmosphere is heavy and immersive. The inclusion of 'Undead Nightmare' right out of the box makes this the definitive portable package. If you have a high-end device, the high-resolution textures and draw distance are honestly staggering. It remains one of the greatest stories ever told in gaming, now available in your pocket.
Full single-player campaign
Optimized for mobile touchscreens
Includes 'Undead Nightmare' DLC
Dynamic weather and day/night cycles
Tap the Dead Eye icon while aiming to slow down time. This allows you to paint multiple targets and take them out in a single rapid-fire sequence.
Engage in activities like hunting, bounty missions, and gambling in saloons to earn money and increase your fame/honor levels.
No, the single-player story can be played offline after the initial download.
This game is a classic and I grew up playing it so there is obviously nostalgia but to cover the mobile side; controls are not too bad takes a little to get used to and the shooting button is right next to the dismount button so it can make intense horseback gunfights a little frustrating but not bad. THE MAIN ISSUE I HAVE IS A GLITCH were occasionally when I open the app to run the game it asks me do an internal download, this is needed initially when you first get it but not afterwards, sometimes it asks for it sometimes it doesn’t. When it does and you try to download it again it never finishes. Resetting the app or my phone does not work. I just come back to it later and it works again fine. So that bug can be annoying when you have a short 15 minutes to get a mission in, but then the download glitch happens and you can’t play in that moment. Otherwise it’s a great game, game itself is 5 stars.
What a fantastic game! I always wanted to play it at my grandparents' country house, but I never could because I couldn't take my Xbox with me, since there was no electricity back then, and there still isn't. Now I can play it and it runs wonderfully, although it could be even better over time. Thank you for making my dream come true, and thanks also to my cousin, who is just as fascinated with this game. Thanks to him, I discovered this amazing game. He's sick, Axel. If you read this comment, you'll feel better, brother. Thank you.
The game runs FLAWLESSLY, SMOOTHLY. It’s amazing. The controls are easy to use and work Extremely well.. I have iPhone 14 - and graphics look amazing.. it is so much fun.. well worth the money…it’s real treat to play .. brings back memories of playing it on Xbox… you have all the extra.. golden guns/ tomahawk’s etc … fantastic..and I definitely would buy this over “ just playing it on Netflix “ .. if you play it on Netflix you gotta spend like 15 a month- 3 months is 45 dollars….. this is better deal as I can play it as long as I want
Thank you so much rockstar games for making this mobile port!! I’ve been waiting for so long to actually play RDR on the go because I used to play this game all the time on my cousin‘s Xbox 360 when I was younger!! and now playing this on my phone is now nostalgia all over again! This is definitely an automatic five star!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Hopefully this is the sign that you guys are making GTA four or other games for the mobile port community!! Continue on the hard work and good luck making GTA 6 in the coming year!!! 🫡
Red Dead Redemption runs very smoothly on my iPhone 17 Pro. I have a soft spot for games originally on console to come to mobile. I Can’t wait to enjoy this. Thanks for porting over more classic Rockstar games! Rockstar if you see this, PLEASE port over more games from your incredible library onto mobile. I would pay $70 I do not mind! Would be amazing to see games such as GTA V, GTA IV, and more on mobile as well. Newer iPhones and iPads have the processing power to run more titles from Rockstar. So why not make it happen. Thanks Rockstar you guys rock.
I have a Gullikit King Kong Pro 2 and some Bose QC 45s. The ISP (at&t) has some weird chinese ITU-T bluetooth UART controller which probably doesn't do bluetooth 5. It seems to affect the ipad's settings with reducing headphone volume, and something really harasses the menu sounds and other things within the game. I have also noticed the headset running google protobuf protocols on firewalls before. Anyways, the vibration or haptic feedback features may be causing issues as they never work correctly.
This game is the same as I remember and it runs just as good as the Nintendo Switch 1 port if not better! It’s a true mobile experience with an amazing open world story game and so much detail and only a 7GB download! 10/10 experience on phone only wish there was achievements but it’s still amazing and more reason to use the cheats the game provides too! Also Controllers are amazing especially the backbone and it includes undead nightmare which is an amazing DLC!
It’s a little bit expensive since I only paid 30 dollars for the 360 version, but it’s worth it to be able to play red dead on the go without having to blow 500 dollars on a switch or a steam deck. Runs great and it looks great too. Controls take a little bit to get used to since it’s touch controls, but I’m hoping to get a backbone controller soon. Anyways it’s definitely worth the purchase and Hopefully GTA IV is next for mobile.
