Royal Announcement
Your majesty, the Queen of Hearts, cordially announces the opening of the Tournament Games. Her kingdom invites all valiant Knights to compete.
The best Knights will earn the recognition of the Kings and a lifetime of honor and gifts. Are you brave enough to compete?
If you believe you have what it takes your attendance and participation is, respectfully, required. Rules below:
Only Knights with Game Center accounts will be able to proceed to the Tournament Games. From here, you can participate in two new tournament modalities, namely, the Movement Tournaments and the Time Tournaments:
- The Movement Tournaments - the best Knight is he, she or they who completes a level in the fewest number of moves.
- Time Tournaments - the best Knight is he, she or they who completes the designated level in the minimum amount of time.
Your infinitely generous majesty is also bestowing honorable badges to those Knights who accomplish the most difficult achievements along the path. If you manage to collect each of these badges, you will become the most honorable of all Knights.
To all interested Knight candidates with Game Center accounts, you are officially requested to commence your journey. In order to bring perfection to these Royal events, her highness’s engineering team has made several noteworthy improvements and a bug has been fixed. To your journey, we raise our goblets.
Queen Rules is a charming logic puzzle game that feels like a cross between Sudoku and a tactical board game. You play as a queen who must navigate a grid, placing guards and obstacles to clear levels. The logic is consistent and rewarding; once you understand the 'rules' of the queen’s movement and interaction, the game becomes a rhythmic exercise in deduction.
The art style is clean and fairytale-like, which helps keep the mood light even when the puzzles get genuinely difficult. It’s a very 'pure' puzzle game—no timers, no unnecessary action, just your brain against the grid. While it might be too slow-paced for some, for those who enjoy methodical problem solving, Queen Rules is a polished and delightful find.
Over 100 handcrafted puzzles
Unique logic-based mechanics
Beautiful fairytale art style
Relaxing, no-pressure gameplay
Before moving the Queen, look at the entire board. Often, the solution requires you to move a support piece into position several turns before the Queen actually reaches that area.
The game allows for unlimited undos. Use this to experiment with different paths without the fear of having to restart the entire level from scratch.
Yes, if you get stuck, the game provides a hint system to point you in the right direction.
This game is repetitive in the best way! I love that there are no ads, great music and sound (except for the queen’s voice tho… ugh!), and it’s free to play! Some of the levels are quite challenging, which brings me to level 40. Maybe it’s just me, but I CANNOT figure out how to pass this level! I feel like I’ve tried every possible move, but I’m still stuck! I want to continue playing this incredible game, but please give me a hint or trick on how to pass Level 40!!! But the game itself is nearly perfect! UPDATE: Thank you Devs for your help and fast response! I’ve since moved on from level 40, and this game just gets better, more challenging, and it makes me feel smart lol! I brought the rating from 3 stars to the 5 stars this game deserves! 😁😁😁
I bought this after the App Store put it forward in my feed, promising a calm and fun game with no stress, which it absolutely delivered. The music is soothing, the haptic feedback is just right, and the graphics are whimsical and charming. I was pleased to see that many of its makers are women, which I suspect contributes to its overall zen-ness. My only regret is that it has but 156 levels, which I rolled through in a day. Absolutely worth the cost. I gave it five stars, and I never give anything five stars.
Took a chance on this even though no demo was available as it promised unique new gameplay. I was not let down. The clay art is beautiful and the music is whimsical yet calming. Love the sound effects too, very satisfying. I hope they add more levels in the future. The game gets progressively harder and some of the levels definitely stumped me for awhile! A very relaxing game experience.
I feel like there should be more explanation as to what your options are in the game or at least hints. I’m at level 23 now and I see no possible solution. I’ve tried everything I can think of, there is literally only one direction for the cards to go. Unless of course, I have other options that were not made clear, actions in which I do not know I could do. I’m frustrated.
In these difficult times of the pandemic, the game served as a good way to relax . Not too challenging. It was a little repetitive but not so much to make one give up or feel bored. If it were safe to travel it would be a great way to pass the time. Saving it worked wonderfully and the graphics were wonderful.
This is all it is promised to be. Relaxing, clever, and especially soothing for our stressed out time : order out of chaos. And too cute for words. There is a bug, at least on my mini. When you move to another world, the background disappears - totally black. If you go to the menu and come back, all is well.
Great soundtrack and a charming visual design! The puzzles are well thought out and are satisfying to solve, but it would be nice to have the option to disable the Tournament levels or only have them appear after you beat the game once.
Usually I prefer games that have a few free levels to try before purchase. I ended taking a leap since it was featured in the App Store and I’m so glad I did. Such a nice, relaxing puzzle game that lets you play at your own pace. The clay art is really fun and unique. This is such a treasure!
