This is a no-frills, highly effective trainer. It doesn't try to be a flashy casino game; it's a tool. If you're serious about learning to count cards, the repetition provided here is invaluable. I found the adjustable speed to be the best feature, as it allowed me to gradually move from a 'thinking' pace to a 'reflex' pace.
While the UI is very basic, it serves the purpose perfectly by removing distractions. It would be nice to see more complex systems like KO or Zen added in the future, but for 90% of players, this Hi-Lo trainer is exactly what they need. It’s a solid, functional app for a very specific niche.
Customizable deal speed.
Multiple deck simulations (1 to 8 decks).
Real-time accuracy tracking.
Simple, distraction-free interface.
Comprehensive Hi-Lo system tutorial.
Begin by setting the speed to 'Slow'. In the Hi-Lo system, cards 2-6 are +1, 7-9 are 0, and 10-Ace are -1. Practice adding and subtracting as each card appears until you can maintain a 'Running Count' without hesitation.
The app presents a series of cards and asks you for the current count at random intervals. If you get it wrong, it shows you where you missed a beat. Use the 'Deck' settings to increase the challenge by adding more cards into the rotation.
The current version focuses primarily on the Hi-Lo system, which is the most common and effective for beginners.
