Pocket Champs is an absolute blast for anyone who loves the 'passive-competitive' genre. Unlike traditional racers where you control every turn, this is all about preparation, strategy, and timing. You train your Champ in running, flying, climbing, and swimming, then pick the best gadget to conquer the specific terrain of the race. The dopamine hit when your Champ zooms past the pack because you chose the perfect flippers or climbing pick is unmatched.
The progression feels rewarding without being overly punishing. You constantly unlock new chests, upgrade your stats, and customize your character's look. While the PvP is asynchronous, it feels lively and competitive. The seasonal events and limited-time tracks keep the gameplay loop fresh, though the grind for legendary gadgets can be a bit steep for free-to-play players. I love it again
Wed Jul 23 2025 Pahoa HawaiiWell…. The cat finally came around and I got it! Definitely work out that algorithm for the poor saps that don’t have it when they’re trying to compete in those specific levels. I loved it for a hot minute. I got the monthly pass and other little ticket packages. But on level 459, I am unable to pass. I didn’t buy the cat mecha machine in the beginning and it’s impossible to pass this stage without it. They always let me get almost past it and every time, back to 3, 4 and 5 cats that are impossible to beat. I have patience like no other, but this is insane. The new squads thing is weird. How am I supposed to add team members? I haven’t really delved into as I’m deciding if I’m even going forward. Thanks so much and I hope the cat glitch is fixed cause the emojis are showing red faces in this level. Update: to be clear, these are running levels with 4 or more long running. You literally cannot win when you’re the only one against the cats. I bought the extra tickets for the event and you used the same level and matched me with cats, so I blew through the tickets with no hope. Now I have another just like it. All cats. This hasn’t come up except the initial week or so at a $50 price. So m pretty bummed. Nothing can beat the cats when there’s four or more stretches of running without other racing methods I.e. flying, climbing. Etc. the algorithm is unfair with cats.

Anyway all I want to say is that I hope this Review get to you all or to one of you Anyway I have a pocket champ issue so be glad I came to you all about this issue. :-) So issues being which I really hoping that app game gets fixed and updated possibly soon. So as I was gonna say is that last time I played I don’t know if it’s my phone or the game I’m just assume it’s the game so last time I played Pocket Champ 😕🫤😕🫤😕 I heard a weird noise in case you wonder not in the start of the game but at main game screen 📺 when the game character looked like it was sleeping 💤 is when I heard the weird sound in case you wonder what did the weird noise sound like “well I think 🤔 it sounded like a continuous beating sound” if that helps anyway I did delete it ok please please please fix it and update it please fix it to where it won’t make anymore weird noise ok I’d greatly appreciate it it’s a really great game. 👱🏻♀️🤩👍🏻 so again please fix and update it it’s a really great game best part about it. “It seems to play itself which is great I just tap the emoji ha” but yeah please fix that that be really great. Keep up the great work guys. All you app developers are doing a great job 👏🏻 keep it up.
It’s great, but….
Sat Jan 27 2024 🎀👑Drama Queen👑🎀1. The adds are driving me crazy! 2. Why does it take so long for my champ to learn to swim and other stuff? 3. Why do I just keep on winning, first place every time (don’t fix that, I’m proud of myself)? 4. How do you get more gems or whatever they’re called, I’m out and don’t know how to get more? 5. Money issues, it kinda takes a lot of game money for the upgrading (too much, if you ask me), and it takes forever to get more! 6. And how much you have to pay to get reasonable game money and stuff, I’m not gonna waste real cash on a video game! 7. In the adds it said you get to pick your move while running or whatever, liar! That doesn’t happen, and if it does, I don’t have it yet. 8. You should be able to raise my champs, like treat it like a kid and raise it into running as a sport, that would make the game better. 9. You should be able to let your name be longer. On all my accounts on video games and such, I’m “The Nice Queen”, but it would only take “TheNiceQueen” in all caps, and I wanted the T, N, and Q capitalized so that people (and me) could see that is really said “TheNiceQueen” not “THENICEQUEEN”! 10. Also, I want to hurry up a get more skins for my champ. I’ve been using the orange one so that it looks closest to a crown (crowns are yellowish-gold, there’s no gold), I want the crowniest one! Anyway, the game rocks, it’s so simple and the animation looks great! ❤️❤️❤️! God bless, hope you have a great day! More to come! P.S: it’s very addicting! Love itttttt!!!!!

Wed Aug 07 2024 SilverSloth8This is such a nice game! It has a cool gameplay, and a lot of potential. But, some of the levels are impossible for a while until you purchase, or just keep playing events, till you get some special climbing or swimming gear. I am not joking. They are of course not impossible, impossible, but it also seems like they are made to force you into buying stuff. When I pass the level, or it’s fixed, this review will go with it. If you don’t mind spending a little, this is a great game. Cool art, and they do give reward and wardrobe chests. Gadgets while not easy to obtain, are useful, and contain full value. Wardrobe, as I mentioned is varying, and the gadgets themselves are works of art. Ish. As for the training, I don’t like the limited training slots, and how long it takes to train a champ. The blue ones take 3 hours and purple 8. Too long! They are a gem and ad waster. The events take forever to appear, as you have to go up in rank, but they are kind of cool. I wish there was another skill, like jumping or something. Lastly, there are not enough tickets! They should give 10 or 15 at a time, so they last longer. Please fix some of these things! Edit: Got past! Apparently you just have to wait. :( Also, the Madbox team is super efficient! I had a problem, and I got compensation and the chest! Edit: coming back to this game, I’d like to emphasize the efficiency and helpfulness that the Madbox team showed! I got a lot more than what I lost! Would recommend, just keep in mind that you may have to wait to pass a level if you’re a player on a budget like me! 😉🙃😇
Awesome Game with a few bugs
Sun Aug 20 2023 DylanS8I have only been playing Pocket Champs for a few days but I already love it. It reminds me of the Duck Life games on Cool Math where you upgrade your duck’s running, climbing, swimming, and flying in order to win races and tournaments. I used to play Duck Life games all the time with my friends growing up in school, so this game brings back some good memories. However, there are some bugs in the game that I would like to address. 1) The game has crashed on me on numerous occasions. 2) Eventually, after the game has crashed on me many times, when I try to get back into the game, it acts like I am just starting the game and it asks me to accept the terms of the game. Then, since the game thinks I’m a new player, it resets my tournament positioning. So far, I’ve only made it to contender because it resets my position back to rookie when I have reached contender if the game crashes enough. When this happens, I still retain my points for that day but I am in an entirely different tournament and I have a lot of catching up to do because I am a lot of points behind. This is frustrating to deal with because I would like to get to higher tournaments to earn better rewards but I haven’t been able to so far. I hope that these bugs will be addressed because I really enjoy this game and I believe that it has a ton of potential. Thanks.

It goes above and beyond with increasing difficulty in competitions to make sure you lose consistently in hopes that the user will spend money on bags and chest. The bags and chest are mysteries. There is no guarantee you will get what you need to become competitive amongst other players. example you can build up your character with points earned in different categories to make your champ competitive, you could also earn gadgets that will aid you in winning races and earning points. Now here’s the trick you will win and win and win and then all of a sudden when they big prizes on the Line. stop winning. You will be placed amongst others. that have higher rankings and access to more advanced gadgets. You will lose every time until you start spending money you spend money and you get what you need and then it’s no longer valuable. You spend money again then you don’t get what you need you spend some more money then you don’t get what you need and so psycho that doesn’t stop. It is a very sick practice and they need to be sued because it’s predatory. Imagine your kid using your card and spending 100s of dollars on this game trying to win and it’s a never ending cycle so be warned. Do not get caught up and winning. Just enjoy the game because to their credit it is fun, but do not get caught up in the competitive and winning. It is a game to occupy your hands and your time while you waiting and have nothing to do nothing more nothing less.
Decent-ish Game
Thu Feb 29 2024 X_HonestGamer_xI was someone who downloaded the game because of the ad where you can select mid-race a character/ability to help you. To be clear, as of the time of writing, this is not the case. Once the race has started, all you do is watch. I stayed with it because I play a lot of PvP games that require multiple logins during the day to stay even semi-competitive. This is a game where your character builds as fast (or slow) as you want, depending on your effort or time. I’ve put between $150-$200 in the game though you don’t need to. There are daily opportunities to try and land some decent equipment and with the update, missing character skins don’t require you to wait for an event to take place. The game is partially luck because it selects other players who have similar trophy levels (power levels) but their stats are personalized to however they were built. This is my suggestion for new players: work to keep all of your stats as even as possible, and it will help you to not need to spend to play. If you’re character is an amazing swimmer but you land on a level that’s mostly flying, you’ll be screwed until you can earn enough flying points to be competitive. I’m on level 413 at the time of writing and while yes, most of the levels are redundant, they tend to come with a piece that makes it a semi-new race: like boosting for certain types of gear, or levels of gear. I’m keeping the game and I hope in the future they will find ways for us to equip multiple gear per race or find way to be involved during the race (and leave an option for auto) rather than just watching it happen.
Crashing Out Bc Y’all Are Cheaters
Sat Jan 10 2026 KillamazooI’ve been playing this game for a year and overall, it has been very fun and addicting to play. However, more recently I have found that it is nearly impossible to progress, let alone beat, any event despite being well into the top 1%. What set me off into writing this was their gadget ascent event, which was running fine when it was first released, but now opponents (assumed bots) are clearly getting double buffs that do not apply to standard players. Most races I have done in this event, I end up in 4th-6th place as my opponents are getting bonuses on their gadgets that aren’t listed on top of the bonus that is. In my last race, four of us had the same extended use bonus type, we end gadget use at the same time (I’m in first cause I have better stats), then magically the other three players get a +1 use to their item. It is very unfair and sketchy for the devs to make all their bots overpowered just so you are forced to spend money to compensate for their extra buffs and is discouraging to see an app become so greedy to the point where my 100+ hrs of gameplay is trashed. I do not know if this effects the lower ranks as I have only noticed this transition in the last couple months, but just be warned that when you get to higher levels you will lose almost every event no matter how much training you’ve done. Thankfully, this does not apply to the standard racing only events hence 2 stars.
