OOTP Baseball 26 Go! is the gold standard for sports management on mobile. It successfully shrinks the massive depth of the PC version into a portable format without losing the soul of the simulation. Whether you are a casual fan wanting to guide your favorite MLB team to a title or a hardcore strategist obsessed with Sabermetrics and minor league scouting, this game offers an unparalleled level of control. The 2025 season integration is flawless, but the real magic lies in the historical modes where you can rewrite the history of the 1927 Yankees or the 1984 Tigers.
The 3D game engine looks better than ever, allowing you to watch your decisions play out on the field in real-time. The management interface is dense but surprisingly intuitive for touch screens. Perfect Team mode continues to provide a compelling online hook, letting you build a dream roster across eras. While it requires a significant time investment to master, the payoff of seeing a long-term rebuild result in a World Series trophy is one of the most rewarding feelings in mobile gaming.

For the most part, this app is great, and a faithful and in-depth adaptation of the desktop version. I have played many hours on my phone and it functions and well and I love it. However, I do have one major bone to pick with it - playoff rosters. When you play through the season and get to the playoffs, it will tell you to set your playoff roster, but there isn't actually a playoff roster option anywhere. The only thing you can do is demote players to the minors, but if they are out of options, you can't, so you have to release them if you don't want them on the roster. This is NOT how the rosters are supposed to function, and based on the prompts the game gives you regarding your playoff roster, I don't think the devs intended it to work this way. Please, PLEASE add an actual playoff and reserve roster function so I can give my team the best chance possible in the playoffs. Then this game will be almost perfect. I'd also really like to someday see the coaching system implemented into the mobile game. I know this can't be a perfect 1 to 1 copy of the full game, but I'd love to be able to have a coaching staff!
I really only use this game to supplement the Perfect Team I play on my PC. But there’s not a lot to really make this a true mobile app. Buttons are really small for the thumb, there’s no feedback (like a push in feature) to tell if you’ve actually hit a button. 4 stars though because the game itself is the best. Just could make the mobile app a little more like a mobile app and less like a smaller screen of your desktop.
Easy 5 stars. I skipped last year due to issues I had with the year prior; those have been pretty much all rectified and it’s otherwise just the PC release slightly refined for mobile. Can’t justify not giving it 5 tbh. That being said, devs, am I stupid or is there no way to access the top 100 prospects report from anywhere besides the occasional email updates you get? It says you can view the full report from the reports menu but for the life of me I have no idea where that is in this. I know you can get to it from the email but I hate leaving a random email from the beginning of the season in my box just to see where everybody else is at through the season.
I have bought every OOTP game since the first game release. I buy both the PC and mobile versions of the game every year. I do believe it’s the best baseball simulator out there. The Perfect team mode is fun also, but it will cost a lot of money to compete unless you’re totally dedicated to play the max amount of tournaments everyday and win. This year I bought the mobile version and paid to unlock all the eras, but as soon as I started to play the Perfect Team mode, I bought $90 of perfect points to pack and start to put a team together, but never received the perfect points to do so. I put in a ticket on May 8th with OOTP, but I guess it’s either an issue they want to deal with or don’t have the time to address tickets anymore. No response from them at all, I was suppose to get a response by the 14th. Nothing, I’m very disappointed. I done giving them my money.
I’m an avid played of OOTP- both on PC and Mobile. I’ve been playing mobile since it was called “MLB Manager 2016”. When they redid everything and came back out with OOTP GO, it was great. However they have since been getting worse each year. It seems like no real improvement to the mobile version and it becomes buggier and buggier every year. Now, the “Action” button on a player profile won’t even work 75% of the time which makes the game almost unplayable as you aren’t able to move players around. It’s even worse they keep raising the price. Not worth $10- especially this version.
I think the only beef is they don’t have some sort of “God/Commissioner Mode”. I like to play my dynasty fantasy baseball roster against “real” MLB teams, and even with the Trade slider and financials on “Easy Peasy” I cannot get both Ohtani and Judge on my roster. Best iOS baseball experience BY FAR. Don’t know quite why it’s such a hard sport to nail on a phone game, but OOTP does
I love the desktop game, but never have the time to use my computer, with that said this is not a perfect 1:1 computer:phone. But it offers me a great chance to enjoy baseball to a great extent, so I can live past what it’s missing and enjoy a really good simulation game. Maybe just improve the user interface on some screens and this would literally be the greatest thing since the invention of sliced bread in 1929.
This is my first review of any game ever over 10 years of mobile games. But I thought this game deserved it. The GO version is full of bugs. Bugged I’m game e-mails. Bugged stats. Not to mention it’s not even close to the full game on PC. Only reason to buy this is for the perfect team mode. That seems less buggy. But it’s also not close to the full game version on Pc. In my opinion it’s not worth the buy. Get the PC version if you can. Don’t buy this. I’m trying to refund. Will see how it gos lol
