Ninja Turtles: Legends is a solid hero-collector RPG for fans of the franchise. The turn-based combat is standard for the genre but is elevated by the great animations and the inclusion of a huge variety of characters from across TMNT history. It's fun to see characters from the classic cartoons mixed with newer iterations.

The grind can be significant if you're trying to play without spending money, but the daily rewards and various event modes provide enough progress to keep it moving. If you enjoy building teams and strategizing around elemental strengths and weaknesses, this is a very satisfying mobile experience.

Horrible Customer Service

The game itself is fun. My 4 year old loves to play it on my phone and my tablet. But it stopped allowing me to connect to Facebook on my tablet over a month ago. I have been messaging customer service trying to get this resolved so I don’t lose game progress. It defaults me to logging in as a guest and I have no other options. Customer service takes DAYS to get back to me each time I message them. They told me my age was set too young (I am 34 years old, and I was connected just fine to Facebook before without changing my age). They keep telling me they have reset my age and I can now connect. But the buttons that appear in my phone to connect to Facebook do not appear on my tablet. I have gone through every FAQ and checked the Facebook app in game permissions and everything. They STILL haven’t resolved my issue. On top of it, they keep ending the conversation without resolving my issue and I’m having to start a new conversation again and again. If my son didn’t love to play it so much, I would just quit. It’s not worth the investment of time when you’re likely going to lose all progress anyway due to not being able to connect. And if they ever let me connect again, it will probably wipe all progress I’ve made since I last connected anyway. They should have been able to resolve this sooner. It has literally been a month and a half. And it is still not resolved. Don’t invest any actual money into this game.

I’m going to give this game 5 stars and here’s why. I’m a big ninja turtle fan and this game is absolutely AMAZING. I literally play it everyday. I’ve got my 2 brothers to play and my dad. My dad can not stop playing it even though he’s not much of a tmnt fan. He loves 1987 but loathes any other versions especially 2012. Yet he plays with 2012 characters the most lol. The graphics are were amazingly done. I love the detail on the characters and how they have the different versions of them. For example, for the turtles they have LARP versions of them, Vision Quest versions, 1987, 2016, Space suits, and the black and white ones of them. So many varieties to choose from. I also wanted to see more characters. Like Professer Zayton maybe? Or Renet, Sal Commander, Kraang droid, Bishop, Lord Dreeg. There’s so many characters that will be awesome if you add it to the game. The only problems I had with the game were the tournament and the game in general. When you play a match in the tournament it sometimes kicks you out and doesn’t let you finish it. But it still registers that you played with those characters. You don’t get the mutagen or rank up in it but it does do the time limit for the characters. Same thing goes with the game in general it kicks me out at random times or sometimes doesn’t allow me in. Overall I think it’s a great game. The kicking me out won’t stop me from playing it but it will make me a bit frustrated from it. Keep up the great work! ❤️

Totally and Completely Broken

First, let’s talk about the abysmal drop rate for items needed to level up just one of a character’s 5 attacks. It is insultingly low. For example, I was so sick of not drawing a joystick every time I tried that I spent $5 in an attempt to get all 8 that I needed. That gave me 62 chances. I managed to get a grand total of 2. That’s right, 2! If I spend $5 and get only one quarter of one of the 4 lots of items needed to level-up one character’s attack, imagine what’s it’s like for non-paying players, or those who don’t pay regularly. This drop rate wasn’t nearly so bad until recently. I guess Ludia wants to fleece us even more than they already were. Now, let’s turn our attention to mutagen. Stage 7-12, by itself, makes this one of the most broken games I have ever played. Leveling up characters sufficiently to beat the stage would take years for a non-paying player. That is no exaggeration. I’ll say it again - YEARS. It's an obnoxious ploy to make players frustrated and entice them to pay an asinine amount of money for the ridiculously expensive downloadable content. Stay away from this game. Instead, give a gigantic middle finger to Ludia, the money-grubbing jerks.

Please Fix The Loot Boxes!

Overall I love this game. Love the characters, the tournament, and events. The shop that rotates items every few hours really helps you get the chance to get DNA for characters you can’t farm. Evolving a character or getting enough DNA for rare characters feels really rewarding once completed. Saving up a ton of mutagen also feels rewarding once spent on characters to level up a bunch. Although this game is great, there’s one issue that makes it lose a 5/5. The loot boxes are straight up broken. For example, when I play levels to get parts to level up abilities, the loot boxes rarely give you the parts that you actually need and instead gives you things you don’t need. Please balance the possibility to get every item evenly instead of 80%to 20%. In the Super Shredder event, I played enough times for one level to clear the loot boxes besides the Super Shredder DNA. I played that level again over and over and got NOTHING but those green tokens. Tell me why that happens when it says the Super Shredder DNA is the only item not collected but you give me the green tokens instead??? So again please balance the likelihood of all items instead of making one item 10% to 90%. Please fix this with a minor patch please! Not to mention running out of cheese all the time. I love this game but this broken, tedious loot box game really gets me very frustrated and annoyed when I just try to get certain items. I hope this gets fixed in a patch.

So I love this game and ninja turtles and all but I have problem. It’s with the characters you see when I first downloaded I thought that it would have tons of characters and it does but one thing that bugs me is the they sir malechi and the fugitoid but they buy In Easter knockoffs instead Bebop bunny and rocksteady bunny doesn’t even make sense either. You could have a robot from space or a magic chicken or Mona or something. YOU CHOOSE OFFBRAND MOUSERS AND BEBOP AND ROCKSTEADY THAT WERE EASTER?pls add better characters is all I have to say. Update 1 so you people at Ludia and jam city HAVE NO IDEA OF ATTACKS so I was playing the boss in the out of the shadows event and krang got 5 turns and killed everyone it was no cause i was under level also I have beat the boss before and this is the first time this has happened please fix this before you lose your 4 star rating. Update 1 continued so I was once again fighting the boss he was at low and I have 3 characters left and then he got 17 turns (I counted) and killed them all. Now I’m op and I don’t die so 5 stars

This game used to AMAZING! As a person who was born in the mid 80’s & literally grew up watching and collecting with EVERYTHING TMNT! Even still as an adult I still have all my TMNT toys from when I was kid & I still I collect today. It was when they were regularly updating the game at least monthly with new challenges, new packs, & new characters. Whether they were completely brand new to the game or current characters but diff versions. Then it all just started to slow almost to a stop. In fact after logging on occasionally to check for updates I thought they did abandon it. As I said before I’ve collected all things TMNT since I was a kid so seeing such an amazing game with UNLIMITED POTENTIAL WITH REGULAR UPDATES GO TO NOTHING REALLY SUCKED! I ended up just “offloading” it so that I still keep everything I have in game but takes up way less space on your storage! I occasionally will check the updates here in the App Store hoping it’ll have new data so I can jump back in but they never have descriptions anymore. It’s always “Polished & Bugs Fixed” Once every 3-4 months. I started playing during the beta and progressed A LONG WAY and spent WAY TOO MUCH MONEY! I loved it but all good things must come to an end!

Make more new characters to play from, like the 2003 version and other movie versions. Bring in Venus too! I don’t care if people don’t like her, I do! Please! Why do haters get a say and not the lovers? Make Venus an enjoyable character. I believe that you can do it! I do enjoy playing. I have Leonardo at Level 100. Casey, Donnie and Karai at 91. And Metalhead at 90. Yes! However; I don’t like how some things feel rigid against you. Like: The spinners. I almost always get a card I don’t want, and just one card I do want, which is rare. Also, I can’t exchange silver shards for gold and gold for platinum shards. I have so much silver, but I can’t use them on the copper cards because I don’t have enough character cards to use them on a certain character. I hope that makes sense. ...Who am I kidding? You won’t listen to me. What I said last time wasn’t answered. You’re just looking for stars and pleasing feedback.

Tournament Crashing will stunt progress

I reviewed this game and somehow my review disappeared. Keeping it short. This is a decent game. Nowhere near on par with other turn based squad battle games, but still enjoyable. Recently over the last month many including myself have experienced crashing and mostly during tournament. This is how we get the majority of materials that build characters. But the constant crashing causes progress loss and even some tokens that are used to revive characters. So right now this game is pretty much bricked until they fix it. It’s been over a year since their last update. I cancelled my membership due to the constant crashing. Maybe the developers are trying to kill their support for this game and this is their way to do it. If enough of the user base have cancelled subscriptions, then the game isn’t making enough money to justify continued support. And they can easily abandon the game. Taking with it all the money anyone invested in packs or energy or what have you. They know about the crashing because it has been reported. They suggest that you close down other apps, etc. Nothing they recommend works. This game is unofficially Dead.
