- Sprint Cup fix. For those players that couldn't complete the Sprint Cup, races now start in the pits so you can minimise your car's starting fuel load.
- Unity security upgrade.
* Review edited, update to touch screen options now work wonderfully. Give this game a try! Only issue that still remains with touch controls is there is a delay, despite messing with the sensitivity. I assume this is to assist with smooth steering, but it just feels like the car won’t move until you hold turn for about half a second. Makes tap controls too difficult to use because when you press the button you have no idea when it’s going to actually turn. I hope they fix The game itself is a fantastic arcade racer, with a bit of F1 simulation tied in. It works phenomenally and looks great. Only critique, is without leaderboards, this game is as good as dead before it even launched. I know it costs money to keep leaderboards running, But its a racing game. Career mode runs out very quickly, and championship is just a quick way to race the same tracks over again but in a cup style format with no progression or change to what you just did in career. We need leaderboards!
The game is very fun and you can tell new star is advancing and learning from their past endeavors. The 2.5d styling of racing is honestly so fun to play with and the physics are very easy to understand and get used to. The game also deals with realism very well, every era has matching speeds and competition, as well as the other simulation elements like the tires and suspension/engines that can go out during the race. They also took the time to go out and name each city and circuit with its matching real life counterparts, with the animations to go along with it. Not only that but they give all of the AI racers names similiar to legends of the era they played in real life. Although I wish championship mode would be opened after completing the game, or achievement based instead of being hidden behind a paywall, the career mode does the job for me and it has PLENTY of content. Not to mention many side events like rivals with other racers and keeping your management and crew happy, and that affecting your races as well. Overall, I can confidently say that this game deserves 5 stars. Theres just not many like this in the retro genre and new star did it first, and executed it perfectly I’d say.
This is one of the best racing games I’ve ever played not just F1 games it’s not to easy but not too difficult and there’s plenty of different kind of races and I like how the tracks get more and more difficult, there’s nothing bad I would say besides I hope they keep adding stuff like maybe more racers like in F1 if maybe like 15 racers and also if you could race for pole would be so nice rather then starting in 10th always ( I know there is a perk that can have you start 9th but still) and also the AI in this game need some kind of penalty because they just slam into you and there car is fine while mine is flipped over and in the wall but besides those things this game is really good. Good job whoever made this.
I downloaded this game because I saw a trailer for it and that’s about it. And after all this time, I’m still bored. I replayed a lot of the seasons and while there is some replayability in it, the AI feels easy. Too easy. Case in point, I started a new save with the intention of not using the nitro boost whatsoever throughout my playthrough. It was more easier than I was expecting. In fact, it got to the point where I was nearly lapping the runner ups. Don’t get me wrong, an inexperienced player might say it’s still hard for them. I won’t blame them, but eventually there’s not gonna be enough to play career mode over and over again, playing the same seasons again and again. That leads to championship mode. Championship mode would be leading to more content that I would have needed, but it’s locked behind a paywall. Considering that New Star might be making profit off of people buying Pro Mode for Retro Bowl, I was wondering why the need for more money was necessary on the mobile port. And that’s my take on the game. New Star seems to be getting more greedier the more games they put out. Their flash games didn’t have paywalls because they weren’t even implemented. When RB College came around, it seemed as though they weren’t putting more care into their games from here on out. I am genuinely concerned about the future of New Star Games. And that’s saying something.
The person crying and reviewing a 4 star saying battery drains too quick but they probably are S T U P I D and just have a outdated phone and I haven’t even played the game yet and probably never will I really just made a review cause xo365 ruined this game 5 out of 5 it’s now only 4.9 out of 5, but I’m sure this game is good and you should download and review a 5 star just because I told you to. now I’m really just making this as long as I can cause my theory is the longer I make my review I get in helpful reviews section and become more important then everyone that isn’t in it. Also if dev sees I feel specialer which isn’t a word. you know what I’ll just end the review here. One more thing though is I also change my name for him :).
I’ve played so many iOS games over the years and this is one of the best I’ve come across. I’ve had experience in sim-racing, Forza Motorsport 6 and 7, using controllers, wheels, pedals, and this is my first Mobile Motorsport game. The ads are well-placed so it’s not too aggressive. The amount of details put into this and even all of the tips are super useful. If people are complaining that it’s too hard, that’s entirely a skill issue. I’m currently in the 2000’s decades and have secured a podium spot at all GP’s without using rewinds. I love the rivalries between other drivers. One thing I want to see in future is maybe different car audio.. it might just be me but it seems too identical. Other than that, I absolutely love this game.
For anyone wondering if they should get this game, get it. The developers and all the people who worked on the app did a phenomenal job. Now a couple things that would be great additions, would be being able to do races with friends, kind of like how Retro Bowl has an “Exhibition Game” where you could pass the device and a couple people could play, I think it would be very cool if you could go to a “WARMUP RACE” or “FRIENDLY RACE” option and race against a friend. I know it is probably hard to do, but i think it would really enhance the gameplay after the original game gets a bit old. It could really make the game one that people go back to, and cement its place as a classic game.
This game is incredibly fun and I’ve been playing it nonstop. I do, however, have an issue in the perk system. It’s not letting me equip my pit chiefs perks. This is bad because he’s starting to lose happiness because I don’t have his perk selected. I think the problem is that I had a commercial manager, and I had all the other perks for everyone else except the commercial manager, so it would only give me her as an option to get new perks then when I unlocked my new decade, it’s only letting me equip the guy who’s on your radio and the commercial manager one slot for the radio guy and two slots for the commercial manager.
