New Brilliant Ball Update introducing new balls; Rocket, Worm, Cloner, Putt-o-Matic and many more!
Nano Golf: Hole in One is a masterclass in 'just one more turn' game design. It’s minimalist in all the right ways—no complex menus, no heavy tutorials, just you, a ball, and a hole. The 'one shot' mechanic turns every level into a high-stakes puzzle. It forces you to really study the environment, the moving traps, and the physics of the bounce.
The biome changes keep the visuals fresh, and each new area introduces a new mechanic (like ice or magnets) that keeps the gameplay from becoming stale. It’s definitely difficult, and failing right at the end of a long run can be heart-wrenching, but the restarts are so fast that you're back in the action before you can even get annoyed. For fans of precision arcade games, this is a must-try.
Simple one-touch controls
Challenging level design
Multiple unlockable biomes
Fast-paced 'sudden death' mechanics
Drag back from the ball to set power and direction. A dashed line will show your predicted path. Release to strike the ball and hope for a hole-in-one!
Avoid pink zones which act as traps. Use walls to bank your shots in narrow corridors, as some holes are impossible to hit with a direct straight line.
No, in this mode you must get a hole-in-one on every level to continue your streak.
I like this game a lot. It’s a great time waster and it seems fun and fair. I also love how each ball changes the background as well as the music. Some even add gameplay tweaks which is great. Unfortunately I think I have been experiencing a glitch with this game that is preventing me from unlocking the bomb and new puttomatic balls (the two balls that you unlock by beating a certain number of levels in a row). I have a high score of 56 points and I have gotten over 15 points multiple times but I still haven’t unlocked either of these balls. I’m very confused about this and I wish I could unlock these balls. Other than that issue this is a fun, great game!
Nano Golf is a great time killer game. Often times you can just spend a whole bus ride navigating through the different courses. The controls are very easy to use, though you do run into the problem of the game wanting to cancel your shot when you go for certain shots. The different courses are varied and offer a good level of difficulty. There is a certain element of strategy that goes into every shot, such as finding the right angle and speed. The best feature is the number of balls you can unlock. It is very easy to unlock each ball, as you can unlock every ball simply through a few hours of play. Each ball offers its own aesthetic, as the music and backgrounds will change depending on the ball you use. Some differences in the balls is just aesthetic, such as how the basketball makes a standard basketball noise when bouncing off walls. Other balls completely change up the game play, such as the Puttomatic ball which acts like a cannon. The variety in the balls makes sure the game always feels fresh and new.
While I love Nano Golf and it has brought me much joy, after having completed all achievements, I feel a bit empty. Besides trying to get crazy scores on bomb, there’s isn’t really much to do, and for an arcade style game, having an end is a problem. What I’m suggesting is not necessarily to make the game play longer but to simply add more opportunity for variation and extend its lifespan a bit. I wish it were easier to select a random ball. I know this is already a feature but you can only do it some of the time and it’s really luck of the draw if you end up getting to randomize your ball. So that’s it, I think the game would benefit from an easily accessible random ball option. Thank you.
Nano Golf is a great game to play when your bored. You can get coins around the course and there are a lot of different golf balls to get. My favorite one is the disco ball where there’s lights around you. There are a lot of golf balls to get and not that many ads. You can even get an extra life if you spend only 20 coins! It’s really hard, but that’s what makes it a great time killer. You would want to get a new highscore or just grind coins. My highscore is 19! That’s how hard it is...This is my favorite game to play when I’m bored or I don’t have WiFi or just generally. There’s obstacles too, like spikes, spike cubes, and teleporters which can be very helpful! In conclusion, it’s the best game I’ve ever had!
It’s a very cute, fun little game that really scratches the skilled mini golfer in your heart. But this fun is punctuated by weird hole hit box physics. I’ve been playing a lot, and I still don’t know how big the hole is, or if hole skipping due to speed is a thing. Sometimes it seems like the ball goes in from way outside the hit box, and sometimes it’s dead center at low speed and it’ll roll right past it. If I pick a high speed ball like the tennis ball it seems to happen a lot more, so I don’t know if it’s a bug or a feature. But it’s adding irksome moments to an otherwise cute little fun game.
Overall the mechanics and gameplay are really fun and addicting. The game could use more levels, unlockables, etc since it only took one session to unlock everything. I really enjoyed how the mechanics, music, and aesthetic changes with each ball option. Note to dev - There’s a bug: once you unlock the bomb ball, whenever you get awarded a free coin prize, it then gives you the option to “unlock” something. When you click it just sends you to the ball unlock screen and spins infinitely. Note #2 to dev - thanks for fixing the bug! Have another star.
I have been enjoying the game so far. It is not hard to play the game at all, but sometimes the cancel button annoyes me. The bad thing, however are the ads. After every two games there is an AD. I realize you have to make money, but why not make ads not pop-up, but rather optional for extra unlocks etc. And the bugs... the new update locked me out of the bomb and I am not able to get it back as well as not able to get the puttomatic. Otherwise 4 stars
I love everything Nitrome, and this game is no exception. Brilliant idea and mostly brilliant execution. But I can’t play the holes from left to right/right to left. Holes that play top to bottom/bottom to top have plenty of space to drag back far enough to hit with power. I simply can’t beat these holes and always eventually lose because of it. Just allow auto screen rotation and the problem is fixed 👍🏻 EDIT: Thanks for the response back. I didn’t even think to just touch any part of the screen. Problem solved! 👍🏻🍻
