Mystery Matters

This is my second favorite game, but the game is so greedy. The match three part of it which you have to play to do anything cheers. You can’t use strategy because you make combinations that just dont appear. You play the hard levels over and over again. It gets so boring. The game makes you use all your coin to get out of the hard levels and use all your tools. So when you have neither anymore it wants you to buy. Even if you do purchase once a month it isn’t enough. If the match three didn’t cheat you and try to make you purchase coins to get out of a level this would be a top notch game. But it’s so greedy. Even greedy on giving tools. As much as I love this game it might be to greedy and too boring on the match 3 part of it, it may make me delete this app. The other two parts of this game are fun and exciting, which is why I’m still here but you have to constantly play the match 3 to do anything which would be great if the game didn’t cheat. So how many days do you have to play the same super hard levels before the algorithm decides to give it to you then you can’t loose if you try. I will tell you many days playing several times a day. It’s just greed! And boring.

Could Have Been Great - But Misses The Mark Badly

I like the cute little mystery and the decorating part of the game. And I also enjoy hidden object and match 3 games in general. But here is the problem. The Match 3 levels get too difficult - really quickly. Many levels must be played over and over and over again just to get past them. To get 5 extra plays, it costs 900 coins and you can only earn 20 to 25 coins per level won. This means a player must win close to 40 Match 3 levels just to earn enough coins to get 5 extra turns ONE time. That is totally ridiculous! The boosters are not easily earned either, so I don’t want to use them. Of course, there is the option to buy coins to get extra turns. But there are too many difficult levels to start depending on coin purchases. A little bit about me…I love gaming! And I have no issue with spending a lot of money for gaming until I feel like a game is designed to set players up to fail. Just FYI Playrix, I do not like playing a level 10 times to get past it. It takes the joy out of the game for me. And when I feel constant frustration when I’m playing a game, I don’t spend my way out of it. I delete the game. But when I am really enjoying a game, I will happily make purchases in the game because I feel like game developers deserve to be paid. However, Mystery Matters feels like more of a money grab than entertainment, so it will soon be removed from my iPad.

Love this game but definitely frustrating at times!

I started the game a few days ago because it looked super interesting! I LOVED it and have been playing since but what I’m noticing is that I’m getting stuck on the hard and super hard levels which then takes away all my boosters/power ups and then I’m stuck on the same level for a day or two! You can use coins to continue playing but it’s been sooooo hard building up the coins to be able to do so. I wish it was easier to build up coins like in Dream Mania(another match 3 game I LOVE)! Even the regular levels are a bit difficult without the extra power ups! Those also aren’t given out easily either so without any available and any of the extra for beating 3 levels in a row on top of NEVER being able to keep over 900 coins it’s really difficult to want to keep playing! Also I think you should add into the extra boosters is extra moves as well, there just aren’t enough moves sometimes to beat these levels which is super frustrating as the premise of this game is AMAZING! I wish I could just keep playing!! Over all a really fun and interesting game just wish a few of these things would change! It also doesn’t seem like I’m the only one that has this opinion so maybe take the players thoughts into consideration😀 Thanks!

Family leaders beware!

I’ve been playing for a couple years now, still my favorite game! That being said, if you start your own family and miss playing for a little while they will take the leadership away from you. In my case they gave it to someone who doesn’t play regularly and doesn’t understand what the leadership role is for. Now I’m stuck with a majority of players who I think have abandoned the game and I cannot remove them. Most haven’t been seen in over a couple months or longer. I could leave the family but I started it as a way to honor my dog who had passed away. I tried to contact support over the issue. They said there’s nothing they can or will do to give the leadership back. Out of 30 players now only about five play with any regularity. There are a couple in the family since I started it and I do not want to just abandon them. So if you start a family make sure you check in regularly to keep that status.

Same old, same old...

Just like every other game out there. It gives you a ton of freebies until they take it all away and demand money to advance. You need real money to keep going as it turns into an energy game really quick. I don't know why the police detective is in a cave, but I really hate this level. You break an energy crate and get maybe 5 energy, but it costs like 10-15 energy to break objects in order to advance. I play about 5 minutes before I have to quit because I will NEVER spend money on these games. I want to go back to the mansion because that's when it was fun. I hate these games where you have to break boxes, get mail, and plant grass all in the same level, without powerups, which makes it impossible to complete, and they give you very little moves. In the early part of the game, just like every other game like this, they give you a good amount of moves, but as the game advances you only get a few moves and no powerups or assistance so you have to go through your coins and, of course, when those are gone, you are told to pay real money to keep going. Nope! So I'm just deleting the game because I cannot advance anymore and it's no longer fun but a pay to play game. I should have learned from my mistake a long time ago with these greedy developer games, but I fell for it again. Oh well, at least I can delete it and never play it again and blackball the developer.

Fairness quality

I’ve had my own run with quite a good share of 3 match games. I thought this game was good, and the interactions and stories to it are marvelous. But so for I’ve run into levels that just weren’t of good fairness quality. Despite the rewards you get for helping with the levels, the moves programmed into these particular levels like the super hard ones that virtually become un-doable I feel just aren’t enough. The reason I bring this up is because when having to deal with a certain vast quantity and variety of multi-layered objects and cover grass, it feels to me that I have to somehow generate a huge amount of combos and power-ups consistently which is rather spotty. It’s like it’s either “generate power-ups consistently or fail the level or unless you fork out tons of coins to beat the level” sort of thing. It sort of feels like once you get to those particular levels, the legitimacy of quality for fairness comes to an abrupt end. It’s not that I hate the game, it’s just that I’m rather disappointed with the aspect of the whole matter. I wish I could continue, but doing so would only end in fruitless attempts to do the impossible.

Game is too hard! Not worth it.

(2nd Review) Not only this game is beyond difficult, you also dont get your rewards when you win a tournament. My team was in first place many times and nobody got their winning prices. Ive been stuck on the same level for over a week. You would think developers will want people to play this game but its glitchy, extremely difficult (not challenging just very very hard) and im done with this game. Im just like everyone else here leaving the same feedback, but its true. The game has a great storyline and graphics, but unfortunately it becomes nearly impossible to win without you having to spend real money. I despise developers who make their games so difficult that you have no choice but to spend money on it all the time. This company, all of their games are the same. Homescpaes and the other ones are just as hard. They barely give you enough moves to even make it through half the round. Its just simply not fun or enjoyable at that point. I get it that you have to make money to keep up with the game updates but there are other ways. Maybe give us optional ads for extra moves or hearts. But giving you 16 moves on a extremely hard level that you get stuck for days or weeks its not fun or enjoyable. Good Bye!

Their ads lie and the game is nothing like the ads

The ads are a big lie. They claim they don’t lie in their ads and that they’re not like other games when in reality, that’s not true. The ads show you will be helping a single mother and her child get out of poverty, the cold and helping her against her toxic ex husband and his new girl. Basically doing new things that stop them from being cold, etc. However, as soon as you download the game it loses everything it says in the ads and becomes a bootleg royal match, candy crush, garden scapes game. And just like royal match, their ads act as if you’ll be helping the MC only to start fixing their house by doing match tiles b.s. The art style is cozy, which I love, the characters are okay, a little cheesy but not too boring. The story is fast paced but cool if you like a simple story that’s just there. I haven’t made it to any hard levels because I’m done and don’t want to play a game that lies in their ads. So far, it seems easier than some tile match games but don’t take my word for it. Overall, there should be some kind of penalty for companies to lie in their ads the way they do. If you’re going to be greedy and desperate, at least tell the truth in your ads, you’ll earn more fans that way.
