Monster Trainer Catching Game is a high-speed, arcade-style take on the monster-collection genre. It strips away the slow turn-based combat of games like Pokemon and replaces it with a 'runner' mechanic where you must physically chase and catch monsters on a track. It’s a very clever mashup that keeps the energy high and the gameplay addictive.

The monster designs are diverse and colorful, and the 'evolution' gates provide a great sense of mid-run progression. I particularly enjoyed the boss battles at the end of each level, which require you to use the team you’ve just gathered in a quick tactical showdown. It’s a great 'lite' version of a monster RPG that is perfect for younger players or those who want the fun of collecting creatures without the 40-hour time commitment.
