Minimuses is a breath of fresh air for character design enthusiasts and avatar creators. Built with the desires of original character (OC) artists in mind, the app addresses many longstanding limitations found in traditional dress-up software. The best Gacha game of the year!

On launch, this game has exceeded my expectations! There are so many assets to play around with and the customization of each asset is really helpful when it comes to making unique characters. Not only do they offer tons of tops for your characters but they have an option to remove/ add the chest, which adds so many more options for Masc. characters. Another thing included in the game is scars and disability aids. The disability aids have their own section and include wheelchair seat, wheels, and misc aids which has a blood sugar monitor and crutch and Cain options. The ability to change how the layers function is another thing that got me hyped about this game. You can clip items onto other layers and change what is on top. You can also link and unlink items which comes in handy when making eyes! It’s amazing to have such a customizable and inclusive game. I’m honored to be able to be here on launch and see it grow as both a community and dev team.

Ik this is a new game and im a huge fan of this project and personally love it more than gacha and everything but i really beg of you to fix the glitches with patterns every pattern i use disappears if i try to tweak one thing on my character or i try to even just go on thr customize screen. Also i cannot use more than one character with a pattern in the studio without it kicking me out of the game. Sometimes i get kicked out of the game for even clicking a characters icon using patterns at all. Its really frustrating to be kicked out over and over and over again sometimes even immediately- luckily it saves but i can’t properly play the game if the patterns keep causing it to crash. Again im obsessed with this game and do create little videos and stuff and would love to do that with the game but i cant when this all happens. Another little thing i hope you add is more pose options bc i feel there is very limited. I know this project is still super new just wanted to bring some of the bugs and my thoughts to the light, thank u for this awesome game. Update: 20 minutes after i made this review i tried to put patterns on my characters jeans and now i cannot even play the game at all. It kicks me out of the game immediately everytime i try to get into it. I really wanna play but its not working because the glitches are so bad with the patterns :(.

i like this app. i got the hang of it pretty easily but there’s some issues. when you use the eyes that are like circular and simple, despite being able to color them and it showing as the color in the little box it stays as white and blue no matter what u do. Also, i love how everything looks but some of these things are too detailed. The lack of more cartoony adjacent bunny ears or animal ears in general is really getting me because most of my characters have not that realistic animal ears. Also, the choices of accesory u get to use are very specific. I was making one of my ocs in pajamas and i was looking through the props for a pillow. There isn’t one. It’s weird how there’s like 3 different bowls and multiple fruits but not a pillow. I really like the game and i know it’s not probably meant to look simple or plain but it’s really bugging me how there isnt even more simple options. Also, this isn’t a NEED just a want. Linking stuff especially hair is annoying because some parts have more colors to fill than others so if possible, i’d ask if you guys could make it so that u can just set the colors for all of the parts in a category. Maybe that’s already a feature and i didn’t se it though.

i honestly really like this app and for it literally coming out today i only encountered 1 bug! i can see people getting insanely creative with the design liberties given to you on this app and i LOVE the aspect where you can control the layering, that’s something i’ve been dying for in gl2. For my suggestion, maybe add a feature so you can have your phone either landscape or portrait mode and it’ll work? I’m so used to having gl2 in portrait mode and i think having this app in portrait mode will help me settle more comfortably with designing characters like i do in the other gacha games! For the bug I encountered, it came with the skin accessory. Whenever I got rid of an accessory for the completely other category, the skin accessory i had moved a bit? Like I’d get rid of a box of an accessory, and the skin accessory I had on moved from the corner of my characters face to the middle, and I ended up having to scrap the skin accessory and just leave that section blank. As someone whose characters heavily rely on skin accessories, having this fixed would be great so I can make my characters more accurately!! All in all, great app and so far I’ve only encountered one bug! Excited to see the updates to come!

Everytime I try to put skin accessories on my character- they reset and all kinda gravitate towards the middle regardless of what I do. I wanted to put tattoos on my characters boots, but everytime I would leave the customization page the tattoos would be in the middle of the character’s abdomen and not where I put them on the boots. And I’ve noticed that the thigh accessories seem to only follow the right leg whenever I change the pose, so I keep having to adjust the left thigh accessories manually whenever I change the pose. Does this make sense? Those are the 2 main problems I’ve noticed that actually bug me. I’m not sure if I described it well though. But overall; this is a great game! I’ve never been able to customize my characters this much before and I’m really excited for future updates! It’s a little complicated at first and not too beginner friendly, but I think I was able to get used to it after a bit! I hope this actually reaches someone because I don’t know how to write a bug report and I have a feeling these are bugs that might need to be fixed in the next update, if you could!

Wonderful game, few bugs and requests

The game so far has been wonderful for me! Theres a plethora of items to choose from and many color options which gives the game infinite possibilities. Theres art work is beautiful, and the amount of character slots is definitely refreshing. Upon playing however I have found a few bugs, which have made my experience mildly more frustrating. 1. The first I’ve noticed is the layers not saving, which for me happened when trying to keep the gloves behind the sleeves. When exiting the character customization, it keeps going back to the front of them. 2. Another bug I’ve encountered is the custom pose saving, which after saving my second custom pose, it had deleted the first. That may have been a mistake on my part somehow, but in case it isn’t I’ve listed it here. A few things I would like to see in the game would be a more simple color palette for people who get overwhelmed, and a few more tail options! (The lack of a scorpion tale for my OC was a sad moment 🥲) Overall, amazing game! I can’t wait to see what more is planned.

I absolutely adore this game, it did take a while to understand but once you make a few characters it gets easier to understand. Though, I don’t know if this is a my device flaw or this is happening with others, but I don’t know if it’s just me or not. I was working on a character at some point yesterday and the second i got working on his pants the game crashed, it saved my progress but anytime I click on the icon of his it just crashes so I can’t edit him at all. Every time it does crash it sometimes shows a black box with a purple outline, and I remember this clearly because I was showing my friend and it popped up. While this issue isn’t enough for me to complain much, especially since this is fairly new but that’s my only issue with this app, and plus I can mess with the other icon spaces other then his. But it does get rather annoying when I just can’t access his icon.

Genuinely Good with a Couple Problems

I’ll start it off with this game is already a 10/10 looks wise. Everything is gorgeous and there’s a lot of options on almost everything. Where there aren’t a lot of options like in the ‘Body’ section, I know there will be later but it’s still so detailed. Now I will say a couple bugs I have encountered involved the layers shifting on their own. Whether that meant going up and down, or the actual object I am adjusting is moved somewhere in the -2000s, forcing me to reset. Another bug is that when I’m adjusting something like the color of the character’s skin, the head will do a completely vertical flip. Like from facing the correct way, to being inside the body. I don’t think that supposed to do that, but it’s doing that. They aren’t horrible bugs, as the reset tool fixes the adjusting problem, but overall I would give it a 4/5. It’s amazingly better than the other gacha games, but some work could be done and that’s okay!
