Magik is getting a fiery, realm-changing new update!

Many of your favourite Champions are getting updates in anticipation for 7-Star Ascension! Sandman, Vision (Aarkus), Iron Man (Infamous), Lady Deathstrike, Emma Frost, Korg, Man-Thing, Captain America (Sam Wilson), Storm (Pyramid X), and Jabari Panther can all look forward to buffs.

NEW FEATURES

7-Star Ascension

Select 7-Stars now have multiple ranks of Ascension enabled! Ascending 7-Star Champions will grant them additional Attack, Health, Challenge Rating and access to the new ISO Burst gameplay mechanic.

ISO Burst

Ascended 7-Star Champions gain a new in-fight resource that builds up over time called Might. Once this meter is filled, they automatically go into ISO Burst, dealing increased damage for a duration.

Cluster Drops

Certain Crystals now have the ability to drop multiple items at once. Look for exciting rewards like gaining a 7-Star Champion and their associated Ascension materials from a single Crystal opening.

Marvel Contest of Champions is arguably the best-looking fighting game on mobile. The character models are incredibly detailed, and the animations for special moves feel like they’ve been pulled straight from a high-budget animated movie. The controls are perfectly adapted for touchscreens, using simple taps and swipes that still allow for deep strategy in terms of timing and counters.

The real hook, however, is the roster. Collecting and upgrading your favorite heroes and villains from every corner of the Marvel Universe is incredibly addictive. While it does lean heavily on the 'gacha' hero collection system, the gameplay itself is solid enough to keep you coming back. Between the epic story quests, alliance wars, and rotating events, there is an staggering amount of content for any Marvel fan.

This is a great game that I played along time ago. I used to play it when I was something like five years old and when my device became to old to handle the game I just sat there and cried. But anyways, one thing you need to bring back is the selling champions. I know some people would think this is stupid, but I don’t want to have more than one of the same champions. I have three Colossuses and I don’t like it. Maybe I’m being dumb, but it wasn’t where it used to be and I can’t find it. Also I think there should be a practice mode where you can fight somebody just like a normal match, but both of the champions never lose any health. I know Training Grounds are a thing, but those are to practice tiny skills that I never use. Also, could you make an easier way to get normal catalysts? I spend so much time trying to get one. Finally, I’m gonna name all the champions that you should add into the game. (They are all avengers because I haven’t seen X-men) Ego, Iron Monger, Surtur, Taser Face, Korath the Pursuer, Quick Silver, Thor (Infinity War) Baby and Teenage Groot, The Collector, and Mantis. Please especially make Thor (Infinity War), because Thor is my favorite Avenger, but there isn’t really a cool/good Thor to put on my team. But above anything I just said, Make Stan Lee, Make him overpowered, about as good as Professor X, his type would be humor, which has a type advantage on everything. I think Stan deserves it. I would appreciate for you to respond, but I’m understanding 👌

Kabam issued unauthorized monetary fines to thousands of players! Stay away!

This was an amazing game until a few weeks ago when the developer began issuing fines to players who it has accused of violating the TOS by requesting a refund. The developer sent the same message to thousands of players in the community on the same day. The problem is that no one requested refunds but everyone was required to pay for the alleged refund in order to unlock their very expensive accounts. When asked to show evidence of the refund through the help desk, the developer closed the help tickets, only saying that they have too many requests and won’t be able to answer them but the decision is final. My account is now locked unless I pay a $500 USD fine for alleged refund I never received and Kabam refuses to substantiate. Stay away! To be sure, the TOS does NOT authorize this monetary fine and Kabam could not have received thousands of refunds from different players on the same exact day. Kabam lied to it’s customer in order to induce us to pay a monetary fine that Kabam believes to be substantiated for violating the TOS. It’s wrong and it’s a perfect example of how Mobile game developers are taking things too far and will eventually garner enough attention to warrant strict regulation. Kabam, a word of warning to you. As an attorney who has handled a multitude of consumer class action cases in the US, if your general counsel advised you to take the actions you’ve recently taken, find better counsel. If they advised against it, as I would imagine they would have, start listening to your lawyers.

Great game, but lack of diverse gameplay and slow leveling up

All the characters you could ever want are in this game, but getting to them might take months, or longer even. Unless you have ca$h, leveling up takes a long time if you don’t play all day everyday. There is also a large lack of gameplay variation, which helps and hurts the game. It keeps gameplay simple, and gives the opportunity to delight in the cinematic power moves, but many characters feel like exact copy-paste versions of themselves…Especially ground level characters that they have not updated to mirror the comics nor the MCU. For example, the MCU version of scarlet witch and black widow in this game are OP, but there is yet to be a Giant-man move added to ant-man, and all the updated versions of characters are very very rare. They are the ones that actually have been updated with more dynamic gameplay and attacks but you can barely enjoy them. My roster is pretty dope anyways, I multiple versions of the x-men, defenders, avengers, sinister 6, midnight suns, west coast avengers, etc. Nonetheless, you get so many champions along the way it’s fun to mix them up and fill out teams from the comics. Just wish the developers would actually read these reviews and take the game up a level. Like no matter how many stars a character is, it doesn’t make sense that I can beat a 4 star 4500 level character with a 3stat 1760 character purely off taking advantage of the simply gameplay.

Great game but need some fixes

This is the best marvel game I’ve ever had (and the only one)! But let me just say it would be awesome if they added some more champions. But before I go into the update suggestions, I have a question: is there supposed to be a Thanos with the infinity gauntlet? Because I’ve seen some videos where Thanos had the IG but I don’t see him with it. I would appreciate if you got back to me about that question. Anyways, update suggestions. I know you don’t have a mode to where you can’t actually duel and fight other players, and I’m serious, I totally get that. But I’m sure it’s possible to turn the player around and for the controls to be the same. And also, I would be cool to have the iron venom (iron man and venom mixed) I saw a LEGO set with iron venom and he looked like a boss! It would be cool to add a venom update soon because he’s one of my favorite champions. Also, it would be awesome if you had a customizable champion mode or maybe a sandbox mode where you can test out champions you don’t have and/or face any champion you want. And lastly, it would be cool to have skins for certain champions like for iron man, it could be suits from the past or Scarlett witch age of Ultron appearance or cull obsidian with his mechanical claw. That’s all my suggestions, but I would definitely ask you to get back to this response and keep the updates coming!!

Every time y’all release a new update y’all always make it so hard to defeat the boss on master level by adding all these boost to the champion, making it hard to beat. I get it’s on master and it’s suppose to be hard to beat the big boss. But when u have to go threw all your boosts, health potions, revive potion, and sometimes real money n etc to beat this big boss, then it becomes frustrating. The team requirements for master maximum is 25,500. When I go in my team is at 32,000 and plus sometimes of course I add boost and it be much higher. I get threw everyone with a ease. Sometime there would be one or two challenges champion before I get to the boss. But once I pass all the champions n I get to the boss, my champion still be having a lot of health to defeat the boss, all 5 do. I always defeat the boss once but after that, it’s impossible, I feel like. It’s hard to get tier 5 to upgrade my 5 star champion. Act 5 is so hard to beat. For no reason. I just don’t like that I play this game every single day of my life bc I mess with it so much. It’s very fun to play. Im really good at it and level up pretty fast in a short amount of time due to me playing it. One day I hope to work with them and give them some great ideas to make the game more fun. I just don’t like how it’s just so hard to beat the boss on master last chapter, and the fact I can’t use my money, health potion, and etc on others quest because I wasted so much on this 9 boost boss champion trying to defeat him. I’m not asking you to the change the way you make how hard u make the boss. I’m just stating why I’m frustrated on this game.

Good game that too expensive and too many bugs

I love The idea of the game. The graphics are great the heroes are fun and it's fun to play for the most part. However, I have been playing this game for about a year and a half and I've probably spent several hundred dollars over that time ($150 in the first month alone) for credits to buy, energy refills, healing potions and a crystals to try for heroes I want. An energy refill translates to roughly $1 which adds up when you use an energy refill for just about every quest. I've spent enough on this game to have bought at least 3 PlayStation 4’s and I still don't have all the heroes I want. The crystal drops are so rigged it's ridiculous. Seriously, how many times can I get the same 2 or 3 star Gamora or Scarlet Witch? I've hit duplicates of the same handful of low ranking heros so many times that it's mathematically impossible if it was truly random. I’m an adult with a good job and this is too expensive. I feel bad for kids who are trying to play this game with little to no money. I also keep having trouble with the same bug. When I'm holding my phone to play the game if I tilt it too far one way or the other the game screen zooms in on the lower right corner and freezes. I have to restart my phone to fix it. I'm playing on a 3 month old iPhone 6 so the phone shouldn't be the issue. I've spent far too much on this game for what I've gotten and to have to deal with weird game bugs. I will keep playing but I WILL NOT spend one more dime on it.

Main reason I️ don’t like the game

So in order to unlock new heroes you need to gather enough shards and combine them to make a hero crystal. The easiest crystals to unlock are premium hero crystals which give you up to a four star hero. However, the chances you get anything above a two star hero are SLIM TO NONE, which is my main frustration with the game. I’ve opened approximately 20 premium hero crystals and gotten only 1 or two star heroes. The only time I’ve ever gotten anything other than these two items are when I pay for a crystal with cash, but even then sometimes i will still get a 2 or 1 star hero. I believe the creators should up the chances on getting a 3 star hero at least, if not 4 and 5 star as well, be to me, this seems a little ridiculous. I have 31 champions and only 5 are 3 star and 1 is 4 star. BUT, I paid for 4 of them, including the 4 star hero Bc I needed them to advance in the game as my 2 star hero army wasn’t cutting it. That means out of the 27 crystals I used, and earned in the game, only 2 contained a 3 star hero. And this is NOT including the repeat heroes for which the game only compensates you with xp and upgrade material. If I added in that number, the results would be even more in favor of my view as I keep getting repeats of 2 star heroes that I am not even allowed to keep and have to sell Bc they are a waste. This is my one frustration with this game. Other than this, I love the game, the story line, the characters implemented into the game, and everything else

A lot of these 1* reviews are unjustified for what they really are. There is a contagious ‘movement’ going around amongst usually lower level players that the game is broken. I’ve been playing this game every day for almost 2 years, and not one aspect of it is ‘broken’ like some people are claiming. Yes there are bugs here and there, sometimes champion abilities don’t work as intended, and sometimes visual bugs appear. But it in no way makes the game unplayable. There is currently a bug where sometimes specials don’t activate in the game and some players are crying for a boycott because of it. With this bug, I did a path in Labyrinth of Legends (the hardest content in the game), play AQ and AW at the highest levels and only experienced that specials bug maybe 3/100 fights. So it’s not as bad as people tend to think. In all honesty, this is the best and most addicting mobile game on the market takes a ton of time commitment to become successful. If you’re looking to spend hours a day playing this mobile game, then you’ll find this one very rewarding when you do put in the time. If you’re a more casual player, then you’ll still have fun in this game but may find the lack of progression frustrating at times. If you only want to play this game on your time(few times a week, once a month, whenever you are free) then you will probably end up in the batch of players complaining how broken the game is when it’s really not. So just know this game takes a time commitment. Spending $ also helps.
