Minor fixes for the release!
Legends of Amberland captures the exact spirit of classic 90s first-person RPGs while removing the frustrating clunkiness of old-school UI design. Movement is quick, combat flows smoothly, and party creation offers endless build combinations.
It is a nostalgic masterpiece for old-school RPG fans who miss old Might & Magic or Wizardry games.
Classic 90s style turn-based, grid-movement gameplay.
Large party system with 7 controllable hero slots.
Open-world exploration with fast-travel and light inventory management.
Ensure your party contains at least two front-line tanks (Knights/Paladins), two healers, and two elemental spellcasters to handle late-game magic-immune foes.
Navigate step-by-step through overland tiles and multi-level dungeons, taking tactical turns to execute spells and physical strikes.
Yes, it streamlines tedious 90s inventory micromanagement while retaining deep retro combat.
I played through the whole game, did every side quest, beat every monster I could find, and explored as much of the world as I could. I had a total blast! This is the old school dungeon crawling goodness that I love. Everything played great, didn’t have any bugs, crashes, or overheating on my phone. My only gripe is some of the menus are too small, like when you’re selecting which attributes you want to raise after you level up for example.
Great game, used to play it on Switch. Grid-based turn-based games are usually trapped in a single dungeon and never let you roam the world (is the Quest the only other exception?), but here you are free, baby.
