Grab your Gauntlets and get going!
Knighthood is a visually striking RPG that manages to make turn-based combat feel energetic and visceral. The gesture-driven battle system is the standout feature here—chaining together weapon strikes, gauntlet punches, and hero abilities feels incredibly satisfying and requires more tactical thought than your average mobile RPG. The character designs are unique and stylized, giving the world of Astellan a look that really pops on mobile screens.
Beyond the combat, there is a deep layer of gear collection and guild-based social play. Customizing your knight’s armor and weapons isn't just about stats; it’s about establishing a unique presence in the PvP arena. While it follows some of the familiar 'gacha' tropes for hero recruitment, the polish of the world and the strategic depth of the 'chain-attack' system make it one of the more engaging RPG experiences available on the App Store.
Gesture-driven turn-based combat system
Full knight customization with hundreds of items
Epic 1vs1 PvP Arena and global leaderboards
Real-time guild chat and titanic boss raids
Timing is everything. To maximize damage, tap precisely as your knight's strike lands. Completing a full chain of 4 hits builds your 'Rage' meter, allowing you to unleash a Hero's powerful ultimate ability.
Don't just rely on your sword. Alternating your strikes with gauntlet punches is key to breaking through enemy armor and stunning high-threat targets before they can retaliate.
Ancient Heroes provide unique active and passive skills during battle. You can summon them to heal your knight, deal massive area-of-effect damage, or apply status debuffs to enemies.
I love this game. i have been sick and tired of all the low quality, ad-ridden, monotonous games that are constantly on the top of the “free games” list on the app store, and by god does this offer a phenomenal change of pace. this game is, simply put, one of the best games i have ever played on a mobile device. i have never seen an ad in this game, and ive been playing for at least a week. the game has great graphics, an amazing orchestral soundtrack, and even better sound effects. the first time it rained in the game, i had headphones on, and i genuinely checked to see if it was raining outside. it’s that good. it has extremely simple tap or swipe controls, with alternative controls if you dont like them. while it does have one of those systems where you spend energy to fight a battle, where the energy recharges over time, its not extremely annoying like all the others. the maximum amount of energy you have increases as you level up, and it recharges at a rate of about 1 energy every 5 minutes, which is plenty, as it recharges to almost 250 overnight at level 20. that much energy will last you an hour straight of battling enemies in this game. its amazing. i highly recommend anyone looking for a game to play to GET THIS GAME. THIS ONE. RIGHT HERE. you will not regret it for even a second. if this game costed money i would buy it in a heartbeat its so fun. this is the game youve been looking for, whether you knew it or not.
This game is really good, and I think I’m addicted. There is great story, great battle styles, and so so much more. But the reason I’m writing this review is to go over some things I think could be changed or edited. If you’re reading this and are thinking about downloading the game, please do. It’s really fun. I know it sounds like I’m saying the game is bad in this review, but it really isn’t. Just wanted to make that clear. One thing is that for a free game it’s a little pay to win. You can still complete the game without paying though, but it’s constantly bombarding you with deals and passes and whatnot. I understand that you have to make money somehow, but it’s just a little much. And this isn’t as much a problem with the game, but I just want to vent a little about guilds. I’m trying to make a guild for hanging out and still doing bosses and stuff, but nobody is joining. I’m not trying to be the whiny privileged 7 year old, but it’s gotten really annoying. I only have me and my alt, and the worst part is I can’t do anything until people join. This would be fine, but I can’t progress through certain tasks and stuff without this. And I know I could just join a guild, but most of them either don’t talk at all or nobody is playing. But ignoring all that I just said, the game is great and I hope you continue to update it and create more. If you have any tips (or even read this) please help me with the guild thing. (Also my guild name is “C H E E S E” for anyone seeing this who wants to join) Anyways love your game bye :)
I happened upon this game a few months ago and I decided to jump in and try it because it’s guild based. But I figured I’d probably delete it in 5 minutes. Other games I’ve tried like this are too complicated with too many moving parts and loaded with ads, and I’d get more frustrated than have fun. Knighthood is not like that at all. They have an easy alert trail you can follow that helps you figure out where everything is and what you need to check on, which is so helpful because it speeds up the learning curve, and makes daily actions go faster. I’m also not a fan of crafting games, but they made even the basic crafting element of Knighthood fun and easy. Yes, it’s a bit of a grind if you’re F2P. They have different deals and resources you can buy with real money to speed things up, but you can totally play for free. There are in-game resources you can spend to get what you need to advance. And there are places you can earn free resources by watching an ad. But there are NO unwanted ads between actions, at all. None. Thank you, devs! Update: Since I wrote this, Knighthood added Guild Wars. Once that happened, I soon figured out I needed to leave my guild because no one was actively engaging in wars nor figuring out the strategy of it. I joined a guild that was more active in GW and I learned more about how to play in one GW than in the previous three months with the other guild. I even started getting up early with some other nerds to take advantage of the "30 minute cooldown before reset" rule. So fun! (If you are reading this and didn't know about that rule -- time to find a new guild!)
Okay okay we get it! You guys don’t like their “bad” energy system. Some might agree. But let me tell you something. If you have patience, skill in rpg fights, and time in your everyday life, this game is basically a free train to help you get your mind on track. I admit. I haven’t played this game long. But in the short time I have, this game is a number one go to. You have Siri or you know how to work a clock on phone right? Bounty’s require you to get into the game at a certain time. So Siri or the clock app can just wake your but up and tell you when to get that win! And after that, boom rewards. You don’t like your luck in chests? We’ve all been there I know. Don’t stress and don’t get rid of your armor. Because dwarves factory takes that crap and upgrades it’s rarity to how you want it by using armors of that rarity. Ain’t no need for chests boy! You thinking of not fighting today? Just raid that hunt you like and you ain’t gotta do nothing. Not enough energy? Ay man no worries just do some hunts with torches (You get 12 early on in the game) or head to the arena and kick some but. Oh no good minions? No worries take that gauntlet of yours and capture some! You feeling tired today? Don’t like your gold amount? No worries. They have free awards! You don’t have to take that tiredness and fight, just watch an ad (Not gonna bother you at all the game almost never has ads from what I’ve seen) and you got yourself free coins or free gems to get coins. Cmon man! This game is all you need to work on your patience level. Get in there and fight your way to victory! Because in this game. No one messes around. Join us in the arena!
Combat, graphic, and overall gameplay is good. There are some pretty bad issues when you get into later combat, specifically White Peak. The way the enemies are set up allow them to keep you frozen or stun locked for an entire combat after round 1 if they do choose. Enemies are able to use specials almost every other round which makes them far more difficult even if you are geared for them. This wouldn’t be as big of an issue if charms were not expendable (you have to buy a resource to remove them and keep them). Which generally brings up the next issue. Things cost way too much. The prices for things in the game don’t really give you a huge advantage other than saving on grinding and the prices are really up there. This leads into another issue of you have to grind for literally everything to progress if you get stuck in the story. This is a good game but one issue leads into another and then another and then another which really brings out the faults and makes you feel like when you hit a wall, there is no going past it. There are far too many resources, such as daily limits and resources toward those limits: the developers should just pick one. Ranking up heroes and weapons takes 3 different resources where each of these could be accomplished with one or maybe two. That generally is where the grind lies in weapons and heroes, then the grind for armor, and then the grind for levels. Too many resources forces way too much grinding forcing the game to move incredibly slow. The combat is fun but everything else just takes away from the game as opposed to adds to it.
First off, I would highly recommend this game to anyone. The graphic and sound design are phenomenal, and the game itself is a blast. However, it does have its share of problems. Almost everything has a daily limit, and I feel this limit is too strict. Sometimes, it makes some sense with hunts and the portal, but there’s already an energy system in the game. Only being able to do each hunt 5 times a day is fine because there’s multiple hunts to do, and the portal because one doesn’t want the player to achieve all of the rewards so fast. However, I believe the limit system should be used for each individual favor, portal battle, etc. instead of a total limit. The current system is way too restricting and makes the game much grindier as one has to wait a day to do certain things. The limit system is sometimes fine on its own, however with the energy system it is ridiculous. The only time the two systems come together is for hunts which is fine, but the portal, monster cave (which I think the torches for entering are too rare), favors, and others shouldn’t be this restricting. I also believe the energy system should be a little faster. Other than that, good game.
I have been playing the game for 2 months now and have had a blast. I’ve mostly been a F2P player aside from around $10 in purchases because the game was set up as F2P friendly with a fun, lengthy grind. I had been playing pretty hardcore and really enjoyed the slow pace of constant progression. The graphics are great and the game is full of those little dopamine hits when you get lucky or see yourself become stronger. Unfortunately, yesterday the company implemented a patch showing that catering to the F2P audience was not their intent. They offered a $5 premium pass to the new event (which I bought btw and is definitely worth it) but it totally killed anyone who did not buy. Without the $5 pass the F2P rewards are incredibly undervalued to the point of offensive. I, myself still like the game enough to where I won’t quit now in hopes they fix their issues but overall I see their update as killing off at least half of the audience. Avoiding the event and pass would drop you very far behind. Simply put instead of continuing to create a game that would warrant people to want to spend money, they forced it among their players. It is a move where one questions how far they will push the envelope next. I play games for enjoyment but also like the competitive hype... and an empty game is no appeal to myself. There are plenty of ways to fix these issues but until then, I would not suggest the game to anyone I know and have updated my rating from a previous 5/5 to 2/5 stars.
This isn’t a slander or a low blow towards “Knight Hood” i wanna start by saying I absolutely love this game from the art style down to the play style it’s been years since I was this interested in a mobile game so I wanna say thank you! NOW! The issue in my opinion is energy I hate the energy system it’s as if the game doesn’t want you to even play it because of how much energy is needed to do “Roaming monsters” and then there is energy need for arena leagues (tickets) and you can only acquire those through the ticket booth which believe it or not you have to wait hours to receive there is also a energy like system with cave monster as well you can only do cave raids if you have torches and guess what you only get torches every once and awhile you see what I mean? The energy restoration is very very and I mean VERY slow takes hours to get energy back just for it to be blown in seconds which makes me feel as if the game is just nothing more than a marketing scheme yk? When you open it up you get hit with three adds to buy gems or gold from the game and guess what the only way you can buy lives (energy) is with gems the only way to get gems is to do daily quests or get them from a chest and if you have no lives you can’t do daily quest to get gems my point is that I spend more time waiting to play the game then actually playing it
