Fixed some bugs.
Hungry Hearts Restaurant is more than just a game; it’s a gentle, emotional experience that lingers in your mind long after you've closed the app. In a world of high-stress mobile titles, this is a sanctuary of calm. The loop of cooking authentic Japanese comfort food and serving it to a cast of weary, interesting travelers is deeply therapeutic. The hand-drawn art style and the soft, nostalgic soundtrack perfectly capture the atmosphere of a quiet Tokyo alleyway.
What makes the game truly special is the writing. Each customer’s story unfolds slowly, revealing layers of their lives, regrets, and joys. You aren't just a chef; you're a confidante. As you unlock more recipes and listen to more tales, you start to feel a genuine connection to this small virtual community. It manages to tackle heavy themes of family and loss with a light, hopeful touch. It is a beautiful reminder that a warm meal and a kind ear can change a person's day.
Moving, multi-chapter storylines for every customer
Authentic 1970s Tokyo atmosphere and art
Stress-free gameplay focused on narrative and relaxation
Dozens of classic Japanese comfort food recipes
If a character stops progressing their story, check your recipe book. They often need to taste a specific dish (like 'Natto' or 'Oden') to trigger their next memory. Experiment with different foods to keep the tales moving.
Keep an eye on your energy (stamina). Focus on upgrading your 'Rice Cooker' and 'Stove' first, as these allow you to prepare the most popular dishes faster, maximizing your coins.
Yes, the game has a definitive and emotional conclusion once you have heard all the customers' stories and fully upgraded the restaurant.
Hello devs! Hope all is well. The game is going great for me as well as usual. I’ve fallen in love with all your characters and stories per game. However, this newest one that came out, whenever I seem to watch ads, the game sound goes away completely. When I do watch an ad, it’s the only thing with sound, but then after the ad, the game has no music or sound. It might be nitpicking of me, but I would love to hear the music and game sounds after an ad. Just my small issue. Thank you for your time and this game!
The game is great to destress and relax, having a nice a story and music to listen to while you play the game. This game is a casual game, so if you are looking to min-max and complete the game quickly, you aren’t getting the full experience. There are a 2 main critiques that I want to talk about that. Which are: 1 - Ads. It is fine to have an equivalent exchange where if I watch an ad I get something in return, but every 2-4 minutes an ad pops up which ruins my immersion and gets annoying very quickly. Also, having an ad at the bottom of the screen near where I have to click is also annoying which you can accidentally misclick or fat-finger. 2 - Translations. Although you can get the gist of what the characters are talking about, it still seems out of place and often needs a couple seconds longer than necessary to understand what they talking about. Here are some recommendations that I feel can add more to the game: 1 - Add more background songs. After playing for a while, the background theme felt stale and it would be great if you are able to buy some background songs with coins through decor as well. 2 - Character design. It would also be great if you are able to design your character in different outfits to fit the design of the shop (including the grandma).
Yummy :3 This is such a great game and yes, I do like it better than Hungry Hearts Diner. All the recipes and the descriptions, too, are very engaging and this game brings me happiness. Even the otaku’s wallpaper. 😂 The concept of takeout brings this to a whole nother level. It actively encourages you to get new recipes. The characters, especially my favorites, are packed with personality. Tragic backstories are masked by a coating of happiness, sassiness, etc. The only complaint is that now I’m never getting a TV ad. I need the energy. Anyways, great game, so bye! 😘
I’ve been a huge fan of this series and I’m incredibly happy to see they haven’t lost their charm one bit. You can speed through the game by watching ads or take it a bit slower and only deal with the very rare ad pop up. Some of the storylines are connected with subtle hints in other stories while some are independent but just as entertaining. All in all the game is great as always and I look forward to more games!
Lovely design, cute art, engaging storyline, but after a while, the "cook" button for all the food options turns off and i can't do anything else. Was totally stumped...then i realized that it meant i had used up all my energy hearts, with each dish taking a prescribed amount. I'm just slow on the uptake, i guess. But it's a super sweet, happy little game that makes me happy to play. ☺️
This game is lowkey perfect. It’s simple yet detailed. The only thing I would like it for the customers to tell you what they want to eat, rather than eating what you have on the serving tray thing. I also would like for there to be more of an interactive story line than just monologue between the characters. Overall I LOVEEEE this game. Well done
I really love this game, I love the food, the phone orders, the cozy restaurant, and the background music. However Im not quite sure if its a bug, part of the game, or if its my device causing the game to do that, but whenever Ive been playing for quite a while the cook button turns off and im not able to make more food. I have to wait a while for the cook button to turn it off but itll keep on doing the same thing.
After buying the Takarabune to *reduce the time until the video icon appears*, it no longer pops up at all. Can no longer do frenzy modes, can’t restore energy after it wears out by watching an ad, no idea what’s going on but it’s forced me to put the game down. Without an update I’m just going to uninstall because I’m waiting a minute just to make some rice atp
