Really Good Game But can be better 2
Tue Sep 23 2025 GameCritic1019

This game is amazing and seriously addicting — it really pulls you into the grind of trying to make it big in Hollywood. I love the detail and how much effort clearly went into building the star life journey. That said, it does take quite a while to become famous and land significant movie or TV roles. In my own playthrough, I didn’t get a show with a solid IMDb score (finally an 8.8!) until I was around 29. Before that, most of my projects had embarrassingly low scores (like 2.8), which made the climb to stardom feel extra slow. Another thing I’d like to see improved is the money system. Right now, even as an A-lister, I’m earning about $200k on average per project. In real life, top-tier actors pull in $10 million or more per film, so the payouts in the game don’t quite reflect the reality of what being a superstar means. Lastly, the overall difficulty feels like it’s locked on “hard mode.” It would be great if the devs added Easy, Medium, and Hard modes so players can choose how quickly (or slowly) they want their fame and fortune to build. Overall though, the game is really good and highly addictive. It just needs a few tweaks to balance the grind and rewards. Thanks for making this — looking forward to future updates!

Great Game - Could be even Better

Absolutely love this game. I’ve played it a couple times, but at a certain point it becomes so easy that there’s no point continuing. I have some ideas for tweaks and other things that could make it more fun. 1. When you start investing in films, there should be more busts than hits. Right now I always make money when I invest in a film, but that’s rare in the real world. 2. Same for when you have a movie studio and you produce your own tv series and then everyone bids on it. What if no one bids on it because they don’t want it? It could make everything riskier. 3. Directors. Can you add famous “name” directors to the game? So that when you’re an aspiring actor, it’s really hard to get cast in one of their films, but could also alter your career? I think about your publishing game and how hard it is to get published by one of the Big Five. What is there were 5 big directors you need to get cast by? Same when it comes to studios. What are the 5 big studios you want to get cast by? 4. News stories. Can you add a feature where you have news stories announcing films or tv projects? You have it with the reviews (which is awesome!), but I think you could build out the world a bit to make it more fun. Think about the website Deadline. It would be cool to have pop up news stories about the new film by one of the big 5 directors. Or a news story about which film was nominated for 11 Oscars.

Has potential

Listen, I like this game. But I started over because I thought I had worked out how to improve my talents only to find that j was entirely wrong. The exponential increase to spending energy on talents, the energy cost of jobs, applying for auditions, and expending energy on improving your auditions/bookings only for it to make absolutely no difference in the end, and how frequently your energy decreases when you only start with a max of 100 in the first place, are frustrating. Oftentimes I’d find myself doing everything I could think of to increase my different talent scores only to see they haven’t budged, or there is at least no indication that they have budged. The tooltips and help aren’t very clear. I think it would greatly benefit this game if there were some tweaks to energy gained versus expended, max energy, and maybe making acting classes and auditioning/booking roles visibly improve talent scores instead of just experience. I wouldn’t mind an occasional option to watch an ad to boost something if I’m running out of time to boost performance on an audition or something, even.

Great at first until you reach billionaire

Enjoyable at first. Grinding and trying to maximize energy spending every week is quite addicting. Finding that perfect talent agent or manager is awesome as they really help with progression. Don’t wait too long to build up your talent points or you won’t score those better gigs. The director addition was a good idea, however, it feels like it’s missing some additional sliders that players can adjust to improve or worsen the outcome of the movie. Maybe allow the player to choose equipment, producers, camera men etc., or the ability to create scenes for your movies. Some additional events would be cool too. Things that a player must choose that will affect different aspects. And as others have said, once you get to a certain point, there is nothing else to purchase and with the new cap on directing/creating movies, doesn’t give much incentive for players who have put in work and invested real money to even play anymore. Just a few ideas! Thanks for the game!

Chimpanzee LLC is by far Favs Of Mine!

Chimpanzee LLC games are by far Favs Of Mine! This game needs very little work in my opinion. With a net worth of $300B, Over 20 Oskars and multiple Emmes as well, I like to think I’ve figured it out. After all I’ve completely took over the Top250 films list. However two things I’ve noticed would be nice. One, I don’t think it’s fair that ONLY drama series get nominated for Emme awards concerning production, Directing and writing. All genres should have a chance. Two, I believe we should be able to start our own streaming services and not only manage the subscription details such as cost and other things but also this would allow us to syndicate our own popular content and negotiate syndication for other producers work as well. Allinall, this is truly an incredible game and I would recommend to anybody who likes realistic gameplay!! 🔥🔥 Great Work!!

This game is not fully ready yet. There needs to be options to spend more on expenses to boost something. Auditions for big roles are like impossible I’ve paid money to get my talent all the way up and if my agent doesn’t have it booked no matter if I have a 100 audition rating and my showreel is 90 it still won’t give me the role not EVEN ONCE. Another thing with that like I said my talent is all the way up and no matter what my performance on a movie is 50 to 65 I have BARELY had a GREEN performance It’s ridiculous. I gave it a three star because compared to music star this isn’t good. This need to be fixed up. It would be nice to see more of real movies to play parts in. But overall I see the potential just clean it up and it really hard to upgrade energy try to make way to do that u had a relationship on music star that would be nice on here to and to have kids to keep going. Please read this if u do this this game will be a 5 star love LLC but come on guys will change my rating and write a new review hopefully after the changes

Awesome Game! Could you also add these options?

Awesome Game! I’m a Film student and I enjoy playing this in my downtime. Some things I wish you would consider adding are the following. 1. Being able to hire actors that aren’t “stars.” It’s cool that you guys have a pool of actors but if we had the ability to hold auditions that would be cool as well. 2. Being able to Act in your own Film or Show. This is something that is actually quite prevalent in the industry especially for well known actors. I feel like this would add more to the experience. 3. The number of Actors you can hire as well as crew. Is it possible for you guys to make it where the creator can decide how many actors they pick? In addition could you add the ability to hire crew? 4. Vault transferring. I noticed that the vault doesn’t take exact change, in fact you put in less than you gave to the vault. Is it possible for this to change? 5. Acting lessons. In real life Actors are always taking classes no matter how famous you are. Is it possible for you guys to make where you can constantly learn? 6. The number of Episodes you can make. Can you give us the ability to decide how many episodes in a show we want to make? 7. Being able to make sequels for a Film. Is it possible for you guys to add a way to make sequels for films in the launch content section, as well as making spinoff shows? Again, thank you for making an awesome game!

Good but needs work!

I enjoy really any new games these studios release, and this was is without any exception of being good but it does need work! For one, it takes 40+ years to become an A+ actor, and auditioning feels very rigged. It feel like for every 15 movie/tv show/commercials you audition you only get accepted to one! Also, I’m still waiting for the update where we can release our own movies under our own studios! I have invested about $20 for this game, and one of the most sad parts is that if you delete the app you can not retrieve your previous purchase but have to re purchase them (same goes for the Music Star). Another thing is that when the app goes through all it’s movies and tv shows names, they just recycle them, and I’m like: we need more titles because I don’t want to act in movies/tv shows I’ve already! The plus about this game is that it’s as immersive as playing Music Star. It uses the basic formula from Music Star so I could catch on easily for this game! Also, it’s enjoyable now having a percentage of a movie! Another thing I would want to change is if the box office part of the game uses real-time box office. What I mean, the better the movie the longer it stays, and the more worse the movie, the less it stays in! Overall, this movie is a solid B+ to A- movie. Needs work, and I know we’re going to get there, but overall for now it’s a solid game that I got easily addicted to!
