- 6 new levels.
- Bug fixes.
Hook 2 is a masterclass in minimalist puzzle design. Building on the brilliant foundation of the original, Maciej Targoni has added a literal third dimension that completely transforms the experience. The goal is simple: unhook all the hooks. But because they are interconnected and now wrap around 3D shapes, the game becomes a beautiful exercise in spatial reasoning and untangling. It feels like solving a digital Rubik's Cube crossed with a high-end metal 'disentanglement' puzzle.
What I appreciate most is the absolute lack of clutter. There are no ads, no high scores, no timers, and no text. It’s just you and the puzzle, accompanied by a meditative, soothing soundtrack. The difficulty curve is perfect—introducing new mechanics like rotating blocks or sliding paths just when you’ve mastered the previous ones. It's one of those rare games that makes you feel smarter for playing it. For fans of elegant, 'premium' puzzle experiences like Monument Valley or Lyne, Hook 2 is an essential purchase.
Completely ad-free experience
Meditative, minimalist design
Over 80 handcrafted levels
Intuitive 3D mechanics
Look at where the lines end. Click the circle at the end of a line to retract the hook. If a hook is blocked by another line, it won't move. You must find the correct order of operations.
Swipe to rotate the entire puzzle and see the connections on the other side. Some hooks can only be reached by shifting the perspective to find the hidden 'anchor' point.
No, Hook 2 is a pure puzzle experience focused entirely on the mechanics and logic of unhooking the hooks.
Masterful use of the space has allowed this to become one of the more incredible puzzle experiences on the App Store. Highly recommended, even if you’re a more casual puzzle player. Each puzzle is self contained, there’s no “story” to follow (though I think of a fly fisherman - what with all the hooks and everything 🫠) so it is really perfect a pick pick-up-&-play type game. The first “Hook” is great as well, though this kicked it up, even if only by a notch.
Loved Hook. Always wanted more and Hook 2 really delivers. There are some puzzle games that just shovel an infinite number of mediocre levels at you but Hook (1 and 2) isn’t one of them. These games provides a small (80+) set of delicious levels that are a joy to play. I love the new concepts that Hook 2 introduces and how they combine as you progress. Unfortunately, like Hook 1, I’m left with an overwhelming feeling at the end… I want more!
After playing Hook dozens of times, I still wanted more. I kept hoping for additional Hook puzzles, then learned there was a Hook2. Love both. They’re challenging, even after going through them over and over again. Maciej, you are a genius!
compared to the first Hook, Hook 2 is not as difficult. you can just pass every level in one try, and the 3D only makes it slightly difficult though just more tedious. this developer's games are all clean and straight forward, but smart nonetheless. my favorite is up left out.
I’ve played a lot of iPhone games and this one is the best one I’ve ever played! Simple! No ads! Really makes you think! The only downside is that it is only 100 levels! I could keep playing a lot more! I hope there is more like this!
Why do developers set up games so they can only be played once—ever? People may like it enough to play it a second time. I did delete and download a few months later, but no go.🙁
I am enjoying this deceptively simple but elegantly designed game very much. If this is Hook 2 is there an earlier version that’s available to download? A quick search of the App Store didn’t turn anything up
I’ve played several of this dev’s games and never been disappointed. They’re clever and relaxing and challenging but never frustrating. This one lives up to that same standard.
