Guild of Dungeoneering Ultimate Edition remains one of the most delightful subversions of traditional RPG tropes. Turning the player into the dungeon designer rather than the adventurer creates a clever puzzle dynamic where you must carefully balance risk and reward to keep your hero alive. The charming hand-drawn paper aesthetic and humorous bard songs give the game immense personality.
This remastered Ultimate Edition runs beautifully on iOS, polishing UI elements for touch controls while packing in all historical expansion content. It is an essential premium purchase for card strategy and tabletop RPG enthusiasts.
Fully rebuilt and remastered Ultimate Edition featuring expanded content
Unique reverse dungeon crawler gameplay where you construct the maps
Charming hand-drawn pen-and-paper art style with witty bard songs
Deep guild recruitment and room construction progression systems
Premium ad-free experience without pay-to-win microtransactions
Spend gold acquired from dungeon expeditions to construct new guild rooms. Unlocking new wings recruits higher-tier hero classes, powerful starting equipment, and improved card decks.
During exploration turns, place dungeon tiles, loot chests, and enemy cards on the grid. Strategically bait your hero's AI path toward targets without overwhelming them in early combat turns.
Instead of direct character movement, manipulate environmental layouts using drafted card hands to guide hero behavior.
When heroes encounter monsters, engage in tactical card combat using class-specific attack and defense decks.
It features remastered visuals, rebalanced quests, new hero classes, extra monsters, and complete DLC expansion content.
You control their combat card decisions, but their movement through dungeon corridors is dictated by AI pathing and loot placement.
Just as good as I remember when I played it 10 years ago, though the tutorial text is annoyingly small, it’s not that big a deal and doesn’t inconvenience you for very long
I can’t read the text. There’s huge white boxes around the text which look mostly empty. They could have easily just changed the font size, but they did not??? Buttons were also not resized so I found it very challenging to navigate the interface
