I’ve played pretty much most dash games out there and this one is the most fair in terms of rewards and gems and coins you need for upgrades. It’s not super easy where you just get a ton of coins and gems to spend on upgrades where there is no challenge but I LOVE that. I love a game where I might need a few tries to get good enough to pass a level or play a bit more to get enough gems to upgrade something. But even once you move on to new hotels, you can go back to previous ones and play the ones you’ve mastered to get more gems if needed. And in this latest version they added even more ways to get helps on each level. Although I’ve passed all current hotels without using helps (just upgrades) because I like a bit of challenge. You honestly do not need to spend a penny to pass all levels, although I did spend a bit because I love to support great apps. The only quirk that initially irritated me in this game was when you lose a level, it brings up a window with only button as OK and x in top right corner. With previous games, you just end up hitting it quickly without always reading or remembering that here, if you hit OK, it takes 20 gems to extend the level. So I’ve wasted some gems when I did not mean to but after that I’ve learned and just clicked x to close out the box. Outside of this, there are no weird crashes or ignored “clicks” like some dead spots This game should really be an example that dash style games should strive for
I love this game and it’s my favorite to play. But now that I’m pretty high up, it is getting increasingly frustrating to play. I don’t mind having to work hard to get an extra gem here or there (play the lower levels, or try the challenges) but when you work so hard to get the amount of gems (sometimes days) to upgrade your hotel to pass a level, and then you have to wait on the time limit to pass is just awful. I’m ok with having to watch commercials but to just provide no option except for paying with gems come on. Example: (providing because I’m frustrated). To win the recent level I had to come up with 24 gems to upgrade a room. (You only won 10-15) at the end of the level, so for the past 3 days I’ve been working extremely hard to get the extra gems. I finally get them, purchase the room and it shows with a 12 hour wait. Ok, press play watch a commercial and it cuts it to 6… but then wait now there is no option to watch another ad, but instead come up with 24 gems just to speed up the delivery. Are you kidding me? These are the moments where I stop playing the game for a couple of weeks and try a different one. Developers, I understand trying to make money off the game, but let’s make sure it’s still fun for your long time folks that are on higher levels.
Update: the developers were correct, and they’ve added new levels. Unfortunately, they also recently changed how you get jewels and thus how you can upgrade. I see what they’re trying for, but it doesn’t work as it is. There used to be an incentive to continue playing earlier levels. (Something the developers touted, btw, which makes this change even more irritating.). Now there’s virtually no reason to play earlier levels, and very little incentive to play later ones. I still play, but considerably less frequently and with less pleasure. Suggestion: if you’re going to keep this new incentive, add some for the earlier levels and make some that are less ridiculous — eg, serve 7,777 people with guitars — so that there’s a reason to play. You’ve got a great game here. Not clear why you’re doing this. I really enjoyed this game. As the developers said in response to another review, you have to be patient, go back to earlier levels, get some diamonds, and then improve the level you’re on. You also can’t play this game standing in line at the grocery store. It takes concentration. But that’s why I liked it. Challenging enough that you felt pleased when you won. Very sorry I’ve finished all the levels
I have been playing this game for a while now, since it was still “developing” I believe. I really enjoy the game but it has always been a problem with gems. Now it’s an even bigger problem. Before you could go to previous places and earn a few gems now you cannot. Gems are so hard to come by and they do not provide an adequate amount you need to upgrade and beat levels. The little “goals” they set so you can get gems are not efficient at all. How am I supposed to jump through hoops for ONE GEM? This is ridiculous. Also TWENTY (20) whole gems for a second chance ? That is beyond me !! I never use it because it’s not worth it at all. And TWO gems after watching 2, 30 seconds, videos . They need to make these upgrades worth less coins. Or let us use our coins to buy gems (at a reasonable price). Edit: Gems are still a hassle. The amount of times I have accidentally upgraded something I didn’t want to is unbelievable. There needs to be a button that makes you confirm and upgrade before you actually do. The upgrade menu pops up randomly and then you accidentally click and upgrade when you didn’t want to and there is nothing you can do to cancel and get your money and gems back. 20 gems to complete a level is still too expense and that button also needs a conformation because you can accidentally click it. And lastly, only being able to get 2 gems through ads is crazy.
I love this game, it’s a great way to pass time and distract yourself when you need a brain break. I remember having this game a few years ago and I deleted it at that time. Now that I’ve redownloaded the game, I’ve realized why I didn’t keep it. At every hotel you level up to, it requires upgrades which uses coins and ‘diamonds’. Which is totally fine but there are not enough free opportunities in the game to earn a substantial amount of diamonds to complete the hotel upgrades. The key word in that sentence is substantial, this is not to say there are not opportunities to earn diamonds at all. There have been a few times where I felt pressured to purchase a diamond pack simply because completing side challenges and earning rewards did not earn me enough to diamonds for all the hotel upgrades needed in the moment. (I am aware that buying diamonds is my own choice.) I will continue to play this game because it is enjoyable, my only request to the developers is to increase the amount of diamonds you can earn from completing side challenges or to include diamonds as part of the reward when you complete a level. Even something as small as earning 2 diamonds per completed level would make a world of a difference. Thanks, wish you all the best!
I really enjoy playing this game. I’ve currently completed walk the available levels and still playing while waiting for an update. It is challenging enough to keep you engaged, but I can still move through the levels with a bit of work. I do like that you can go back and play in old hotels after you’ve completed them and moved to the next level. It can take a little time to get the hang of just where you should tap an item, but otherwise it doesn’t seem to have dead spots on the screen. A couple of suggestions for improvement: as you move into a new region, the coins earned are too low to make the necessary improvements. The coins earned don’t really go up from level to level, but the prices for upgraded items really goes up. That can be frustrating as you repeat a level over and over, hoping to earn enough coins to make improvements. Also, the rate at which you earn the special powers (speed, time, coins) could go up after 80 levels have been completed, since you aren’t earning many gems anymore. Lastly, it would be great if the “continue” function (which costs 20 gems) could have an “are you sure” feature. I’ve lost many gems by inadvertently tapping on that. Thanks for creating a fun game that keeps me engaged!
It got to a point where I couldn’t pass levels without purchasing gems. I think I should be able to collect more than 1 or 2 gems after playing 5-10 levels from previous locations. So I made the decision to delete the app as it simply wasn’t worth the time and energy for such little reward EDIT: You’ve gotten so many reviews with people saying the same thing. At some point, I think it would be in your best interest to consider what the players are saying. The game is no longer tenable past certain levels without two things : 1) constantly going to the endless play in past levels to college gems or 2) purchase gems. For me, I started to see this during the second location. I barely got to the next hotel and couldn’t even upgrade all the appliances at each one. By the time I got to the third location the game became more frustrating than fun. I had to do endless play for HOURS just to collect enough gems to upgrade ONE appliance. If I could collect more than 1 or 2 gems in the past levels then maybe I could consider playing the game again. EDIT 2: Please read my entire review. I am fully aware of what I need to do to get more gems. I am just not willing to play 45 levels from an old location every day just to get about 10-12 gems so until there is a change, I will play other games. Thanks.
This is a really great game. There are a lot of good things about it. However, and bare with me because it’s hard to explain, I get so frustrated with all the little side mini games and rewards boards. I really wish they wouldn’t automatically pop up after a level if you earn a new reward or as you progress in the mini games/competitions. I have had so many power ups get wasted because of all the pop ups and how long it takes to get out of whatever it is that popped up. For example, there is a mini game (the icon to access it is a compass I think) that automatically popped up and I got stuck in a tutorial that I couldn’t get out of because there was no X or back button. I ultimately had to close out of the game completely in order to get out of it. I had just earned a speed power up before that popped up and most of it ended up being wasted because of it. I also end up getting stuck in the main Home Screen and unable to click on anything while it shows the points being added to the seasonal reward board or the “tourism boom” mini competition. It really ruins the game play where I can’t just go on to the next level without having to deal with all those other things getting in the way.
