- Convenience fixes and other bugs have also been addressed.
This game is essentially an idle/incremental game, but Godzilla-themed. You build bases and defenses to automatically attack enemies, and can tap the screen for extra dps. You mostly fight generic monsters, but a kaiju boss battle appears on every tenth stage where you have to deal a certain amount of damage within a time limit. Sometimes a rare Godzilla battle will appear, which is basically just a harder kaiju boss. Despite the theme of the game, there are no consequences for losing, so you steadily move forward. Each kaiju you defeat gives you a card you can use to activate skills in battle for temporary extra power. You can use premium currency to gamble for rare cards, but also acquire them slowly through normal gameplay. There’s also a system where you can obtain another currency to buy and upgrade allies that assist automatically in battle. Lastly, as with most idle games, there’s a system to reset and carry over new stat bonuses when you finally start to hit a wall. Overall, it’s a well-made game with Godzilla theming. Microtransactions and ad bonuses are available, but not necessary. You can play the game just fine without them, albeit more slowly. Ads are not mandatory and give good bonuses. I can’t really think of any particular flaws in this game. However, it seems there will be no further updates, so there won’t be anything more recent than Shin Godzilla featured in it.
First off, some of the kaiju have incorrect roar sounds, like Desghidorah for example... sounds like Mothra Leo... And I am positive that the sound I heard before fighting Dagarha’s roar sounded like some kind of squeak... when I see a Kaiju I’d like to hear their unique and original roars they had in the films they were in, not whatever you have made up to seemingly mock the Kaiju for the game. And as for the idea, maybe add the kaiju’s roar and vehicle/object SFX in after you place their card down to make it more enjoyable instead of that crystalline ding? Oh, and thank you for fixing Ghidorah ‘91’s card, I was beginning to get annoyed remembering which one was 98 and which one was 91, because they both looked exactly like Ghidorah 98, so arigoto for fixing that. And for the people reading this, it’s a pretty fun game, but I’d only get it if you have time on your hands, going back in time and resetting each city instead of the ones you can just select for more time shards is really time consuming, and I don’t like the fact that I can’t take my civilian’s with me. Luckily, you get back to your original progress rather quickly, as long as you exchange time shards for artifacts and their upgrades. So far I’ve time traveled twice... Time traveling is highly recommended if you are stuck on the same Kaiju for... let’s say almost a day. Or even seven six hours, curse you Gabara... I’m coming for you...
First of all, I love being the monster that destroys cities.. wouldn’t everyone else? It’s cool to fight the kaiju monsters and go fanatic over seeing the next boss. But I think you guys should add a monster side, let the player be the Godzilla, mothra, biolante, ect. I just think being the person can feel like your not the all powerful thing in the game, when I see Godzilla games I think of destructive monsters with immense power! I just feel unfortunate without an available way on my phone to play as a monster with this decent of graphics. Let the player earn more monsters by destroying cities and encounter the monster they will earn in a fight. I LOVE the designs that you came up with for the game, and I would like to see this game flourish with a monster side that can make the player so excited to destroy buildings with a challenge. While having some easiness to the mode that will make the player have fun, instead of struggling with it in frustration. I think having a monster mode could really shake up the game, especially since this game deserves to have a mode like this, because it’s a monster game! Hope this helps a lot and you find it a good suggestion to add into the game if you wanted to.
This game is a very enjoyable experience for a Godzilla fan such as myself, I love how nearly every monster is included at some point, including those from lesser Toho flicks. Not a single monster is excluded, as far as I can tell. Absolutely one of the best rosters I’ve ever seen. Unlocking a new unit or leveling them up is very satisfying as most of the time they will annihilate any enemy...for the first 3 levels or so. That brings me into the negative, the difficulty. I should not have to spend 30 minutes watching advertisements just to get a big enough boost to do enough damage to a Daikaiju (the big boys) to defeat it. Then, directly after, spend another 30 slowly killing the 10 waves that come after, and then rinse and repeat double-the-time for the next big monster. Making money is absolutely impossible, making time travel a requirement, but there’s no fun in fighting the same 10 Daikaiju over and over when you get stuck on one, and have to travel back to the beginning. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had to fight Ebirah, and I’ve barely even seen what Sydney has to offer. In all, this game would honestly just be another time-wasting clicker such as Clicker Heroes or Tap Titan. If it were not for the fact that I am such a nerd when it comes to Godzilla, I would pass over this game scrolling through the App Store. It’s fun for the first day or so, then the repetitive nature almost forces you to delete it.
The game is amazing. I love it. The visuals of each individual monster, the way that each monsters attacks reference the movie they are from, and the monster cards and how they can show you pictures from the movie and give small descriptions. I haven’t played a whole lot of the game yet, but what I have played so far is amazing. This is even better if you are a hardcore Godzilla fan, but even if you aren’t you would still be able to enjoy this game. There are only 2 real things that buy me about this game. The first is that I really wish I could go back and fight monsters that I have already fought. That would be an amazing thing to do for bosses that really gave you trouble, and then you could go back and easily beat them. I have unlocked time travel, but I haven’t used it yet because I don’t want to lose all my hard earned upgrades. The second thing that bugs me is the bosses and how hard they can be. I can have a boss on each world that I am stuck on and I would be unable to make any progress. I wish that I would be able to select when I want to fight a monster, and then be able to go back out and farm coins if it is to hard. Other than that the game is really good. You must play this game.
You know when you’re on codex and It doesn’t show A very good picture yeah that’s what I want changed like with Gaira it just shows a picture of his body in black-and-white and then shows a picture of his head in black-and-white it’s not a very good photo selection if you ask me because here’s the thing I want to see a in color version of the monster I’m looking at rather than a black-and-white version that I can’t even tell what color the monster is not saying that the game is better or anything but a little advice on the color change would be good maybe an update for the picture or something I mean I think that would really be good for the like you know whole photosystem at least with Sanda it’s one picture of him in black-and-white and then one picture in color and for some of the other pictures I’m not just saying that those two monsters are bad I’m saying the black-and-white pictures could be updated to color pictures but for the rest of the game I’d say it’s really good so far I’ve used the time travel setting twice i’d say it’s really good if you get stuck on a monster i’m coming for you Godzilla 1984!!!!
I’ve been playing this game since it was first released in May 2019. It’s been real and it’s been fun. I’ve invested so much time into it and has become the staple to my mobile gaming experience. Hear me out guys, because I have a great suggestion. Incorporate the legendary Godzilla universe into it. Add three new city locations which would include Hong Kong (Godzilla versus Kong 2021), Boston, Massachusetts (Godzilla King of the monsters 2019) and San Francisco (Godzilla 2014). Each city will have a mixture of the kaiju from the legendary movies and the classic Toho movies. Example: Hong Kong would include Kong 2021, Godzilla 2021, mechagodzilla 2021 and so forth. Boston would have King Ghidorah, rodan, mothra, and Godzilla 2019. San Francisco would have the mutos, Godzilla 2014 and so forth. Each progressing stage would have its own normal smaller monsters to battle up toward these legendary kaiju at the end of the 10 waves. By wave 40, 80, 120, etc, would have the different legendary Godzilla’s to fight against with each one being progressively stronger. That was my rant but I hope you consider it as a cool idea to incorporate the legendary universe into the game. Thanks for your time.
I’m writing this after my experiences. This game is fun, a Godzilla-themed idle. It’s fun up until certain levels. I’m currently stuck on Godzilla 04, AZ, and have been for the past week. It’s been so hard I’ve actually found something else Godzilla flavored to cure my hyperfixations. This game has so much potential. All of your hard work without spending money goes to waste on these later levels. It’s either grind for 3 months straight or pay 20 bucks to get good cards and enough coins to beat a level. And the moon. The price of the moon is frankly insane. When I got to NY, my highest currency was JJ. It’s KK now, but even that is so far away from MM that it makes me lose interest. Games like these are really fun when you have to put in a certain degree of effort but not so much it gets bland. I’m not being petty, but it’s outrageous how hard these later levels are, even if you’ve played for a few months like I have. As a final note, I’m hoping this gets resolved and slightly easier like before, or at the very least a developer response because this game is losing its charm and overall my respect.
