Our Expert Score

90/100

Noodlecake has published another mobile gem with Flick Shot Rogues. Marrying the tactile, physics-driven joy of flicking physical tokens across a board with deep, turn-based roguelike deck/item synergies works astonishingly well. Every shot requires calculating trajectory ricochets, enemy knockbacks, and environmental hazards.

No two runs feel identical thanks to diverse talent upgrades, curse trade-offs, and randomized map nodes. The premium try-before-you-buy model is incredibly consumer-friendly. If you enjoy games like Peglin or Slay the Spire, this tactile twist on the genre is a absolute pleasure to play.

App Store Editors’ Notes

Really great little rougelite
Thu Sep 17 2026 Bendy Boy94

While rouge games are now everywhere in the App Store, many of the non-ported ones are meh at best, not cash grabs per say but just not good. This one though. Is well worth the full price, it has a novel gameplay style for a rougelite and is simple to learn but hard to master. Most importantly to me. It stands to it from the mediocrity with a healthy number of interesting unlocks, not just stat boosting meta progression. If you like rougelites/rougelikes, I implore you to try this game. You get a nice demo before you need to buy the full thing. So please support this dev who clearly took time to put actual effort and thought into a mobile rougelite, and bravo to you devs! I hope you’ll release more quality games like this in the future 🙌🏻

Awesome Little Game

Played the demo, got hooked, and kind of just bought it instantly. It’s really simple and cute. The controls are a little janky at times and at least once my progress on a level was reset when I just exited the app (I didnt close the whole game I just tabbed out). But it’s totally worth the money and I hope the developers keep it up, cause this is great!

But this game is truly a gem. Got it thinking it could “keep me busy” on my lunch breaks and Ive found myself staying up late just to do that ‘one last run’ more nights than I should lol. Very fun, very unique. Worth every penny.

Fun and addicting but…

I paid for the full version of this game because I fell in love with it.. until I found out every time my run was over it showed how many levels I gained and stuff I unlocked during that run. If you close the game out and launch it to play again later all my progress was undone and my level was set back from 4 to 1. So I gave it 3* until this issue is fixed.

Good game but…

The controls really need work. It can be extremely frustrating sometimes to aim the direction you want to. I don’t understand why it doesn’t just work like other slingshot games where you pull back in the opposite direction of where you want to aim. Then the speed is also determined by how far you pull back. Squids Odyssey is a good example.

Great action/strategy game!

I absolutely love this game. The combination of action and strategy with a good dose of Rogue like makes this game a steal at the launch price of 4.99. Since it’s a try before you buy, you don’t have anything to lose. Give it a try.

good but bug

The game is fun and I paid for full version. But there is bug that the progress will be lost after restart. My level is back from 6 to 4, and unlocked items are locked again.

Fun But Progress Broken
Sun Sep 20 2026 ChapinSankey

The game is fun and I enjoy playing it on my iPad, but after every run all of your progress disappears. Disappointing to see that after a week with multiple listed updates in the patch notes that this is still broken. As it stands, this is a roguelike with no functioning rogue-like progression. Do not unlock the full game until this is addressed, there is no point.
