AMAZING GAME!!
Fri Apr 18 2025 C135C1Oh my gosh. This game. Clean user interface, easy to navigate, and a fun game concept for art lovers. I’ve had so much fun playing this, and I’ve gotten to meet so many amazing artists and make friends from around the world that I otherwise never would have met! I was hooked from the moment I clicked that blue button on the App Store! When there was an issue with my drawings showing up blank for people on the receiving end, I sent the developers an email, and they responded in only 14 minutes!! FOURTEEN MINUTES!!! They immediately acknowledged the problem and began troubleshooting with me, telling me the updates and recent developments. I will confess I was a little desperate (sent them a long, informal email with much of it in all caps followed by a thousand exclamation points and angry/sad emojis, sent probably close to 5 or 6 angry feedback messages on both my devices, then attempted to call them twice to no avail), and they were super patient with me, despite me being an absolute pain in the neck. It’s only been a couple days, and the issue is ALREADY FIXED! How are they so freaking efficient?? I couldn’t ask for a better team!! …I wonder if they have a corporate address? I want to send them flowers now!!
Fun but Hurtful Emojis/ Comments
Sun Dec 17 2023 Anonymous39999It’s been a lot of fun! It gives me something to do to relax and just have fun. I love playing one on one, but the group guess and draw has left me feeling hurt and afraid, as users are allowed to send angry emoji reactions to drawings when they don’t like them (which I have experienced many times and seen happen to others many times). In my opinion, this serves no good function. Furthermore, the group draw seems overly competitive, which is less fun for the average drawer. For example, I once had a user in a group use the white board (before drawing for the group) to call out my name with the word stop, which I found very upsetting (especially since I’m not sure what it is exactly that they were telling me to stop doing? But it felt hurtful, embarrassing, intimidating, and the opposite of fun). I may not be perfect at drawing but I thought that the game was supposed to be a fun game not a game where you feel punished for not being an amazing artist (which I am not). At the risk of sounding overly sensitive, I would suggest limiting the use of angry/ negative emojis (especially in group settings), if possible? Or having groups with different levels of expected seriousness (or difficulty) so that those just wanting to have fun can just join a group of people who also just want to have fun and vice versa (then it is left up to user discretion). I know that the app cannot control other people’s actions, these are just some suggestions :) Thanks!
Good, but could use improvements
Sun Dec 31 2023 GLOPIN BoopinI’ve been playing this game for a couple days with my friend. It has been a great time! But, we’ve noticed there are a few things about this app that could be better. The first suggestion I have is to fix the weird stabilizer. I’ve noticed that whenever you draw too quickly that it makes your lines jagged, its super jarring & annoying to work around. Another slight issue I’ve come across is that there is no border on where you can draw, allowing you to draw over some UI elements unintentionally. This is also very strange & makes the game feel unpolished. One more slight suggestion that I will make is the ability to customize the order in which the colors on your pallet appear. It would be helpful, for instance, to be able to sort all colors of the same hue together. But, right now there is no such feature & the colors are all strewn about in whichever order you bought them im which makes for locating the colors you would like to use be a bit challenging, as differing shades of the same hue are separated. Additionally adding an opacity slider to the bottom of the drawing UI would allow for more in depth & complicated pieces to be produced by the user. To summarize the previous points, this is a great app that is loads of fun but it has a few issues that could be adjusted that would improve the user experience tenfold. WAS ANGRY, NOW THRILLED!!
Thu Aug 15 2024 Carol.1134This was one of my favorites, I paid for the app, so I didn’t have ads, and I had all of the colors, all of the emojis, I had some thing like 77,000 coins,… Everything. And then it just went away. I got kicked out and had to sign in again and my account no longer existed. So gone is my whole gallery of all of my drawings, all of my coins, I’m stuck watching these stupid ads, I have very limited colors, because I now only have 300 coins, and I’m not gonna buy the app again. That’s just stupid and it makes me angry. I sent it a message to tech-support, including my email address, and … UPDATE: THEY WERE GREAT!!! They fixed everything! After many emails back and forth to get more info from me as I remembered more and more about my account, these patient people were able to restore it all! In retrospect, I now believe it was my own failure that led to the problem (I didn’t make myself a “real” account, and was only using the app as a “guest”), they never pointed a finger at me or made me feel dumb. Excellent app, excellent developers, excellent support team!! THANK YOU!
The closest to Draw Something I’ve found
Wed Sep 04 2024 DeeashleyI decided to play Draw Something again and quickly realized it was no more (!). I searched the App Store for something comprable and this is what I found. It’s pretty similar. My only complaint is the lack of color choices (I’m playing the free version, so maybe there is an option I’m missing). You only get Black, red, green, light blue, pink, dark brown, and dark blue. That said, it’s still enough to get creative and I like that you can play several players at once. You can also play without a time limit - a big plus. They don’t inundate you with a bunch of ads, which would be a deal-breaker for me. The other thing I appreciate is it seems like the players put more effort into their drawings. I like that, and the ability to take as much time as I want to finish a drawing - these are the 2 best parts, imo. Overall, it’s worth a (free!) download, especially if you enjoyed Draw Something and are looking for a replacement! :)

Sun Sep 21 2025 MarkusD23The game is super fun, but has some limitations; it would be great if you could swipe through the gallery, now art book, instead of having to exit a picture entirely and then tapping to go into another. An update recently removed the ability to tap on a picture to see it larger and to rewatch how it was drawn. That has been a huge source of entertainment among my family and friends who have this app. Its removal definitely makes this app not as fun, and more annoying. The word prompts are recycled a lot, an infusion of new words would be great. There are no black or African representations among the avatars, except if you go to the monster or robot category. Which is weird because there is a representation of literally all others. It is difficult for this app to track drawing near the borders of the drawing area. Resulting in one having to repeatedly swipe and draw before it tracks. The developers need to bring back the gallery and allow it to be manipulated as it was before with the improvements added to swipe from drawing to drawing. And also allow us to automatically view friends’ galleries.

Fri Aug 08 2025 SammiSopranoAZI’ve been playing for years. Here’s the positive, negative and suggestions for improvement. Positive :It’s a lot of fun and a great thing to pass time. The game has also helped me immensely improve my drawing skills . I look forward to playing and seeing what people have sent over . I’ve even met new drawing friends . Negative: the new featured gallery addition is a great idea however , whomever is in charge of top picks seems to be really biased. There are so many submitted drawings that are really great and represent every level of skill. The problem is the developers (or whomever is in charge of that feature)only choose the same few artists over and over . It’s really discouraging . A lot of people feel this way. Top Picks is basically the personal gallery of a select few artist .same 3 or 4 names on repeat. Don’t get me wrong, they are amazing artists but it’s the same names over and over . This doesn’t even come close to representing the community and it feels really unattainable for the many others that work really hard on their drawings. It would be nice to see a variety of people being featured. People of every skill level. Request: Is there a way that we can enlarge the canvas to work on specific areas ? Kind of like when looking at a photo on your phone? Also any thought about a variety of tools like pens, markers oil paint etc? It can be a paid feature and it sure would be nice.
Simple and fun but drawings are held behind paywall?
Wed Jul 23 2025 music4uandmeI was an early user of this game and recently returned to it when my older adult parents got iPads to encourage their creativity and give us another way to interact with each other. While I understand the desire to make money and can reluctantly accept the fees for certain tools, I am appalled to discover that you can only store the most recent 30 drawings in the app. I’m not sure if the game changed ownership or what happened when the name changed to Buddies from Friends but there is no legitimate reason to prevent access other than greed. If space is an issue, have the pics reside on the individual devices. I’m an avid user and now I’m tempted to cancel the whole account. There’s a note indicating that your library can be sent via email by request but that’s not the same. I hope they fix this policy soon or I will likely lower my rating further and will likely stop playing.
